Received an email that the restaurant dining area was closed and that my reservation would be canceled. Although I would have liked to put a "N/A = Not Applicable" or some other indicator to note that the restaurant dining are was closed on my review, since Open Table doesn't offer that rating I selected a "One Star" rating instead.

Belcampo was surprisingly empty at 12pm on a Tuesday, but I guess that's because everyone is at work. The burger and fries were very good. Only negative thing that I would say is that I asked for it 'Medium' and it was basically Medium Rare. Otherwise, a nice casual place for a low-key client lunch.

I was looking forward to dining here. Belcampo is a meat company, unfortunately the meat we had was not what was expected. I had the steak frites, my steak was like chewing on a shoe My friend had the burger, she asked for it to be cooked "pink", unfortunately, it was raw. the creme brûlée was so watery it could have been drank with a straw! No quality control coming out of the kitchen!!!! Very disappointed, would not go back or recommend.

Overall good! Food was delicious. The customer service was a little off, I expected better. Waiter was quirky and felt the talking was insincere. I will go back though. One note, there was a few side chairs with holes. Unsatisfactory....they should be replaced.

If you like meat - oh, my! And fried cooked in lard? yummy! The goatmilk cheesecake is so good & rich that 3-4 people can share. Sadly, we found the wait staff unprofessional -- maybe new to the job? Had to point out mistake in the check, ask twice for things.

We had the French Toast and the Eggs Benedict. The French Toast was not good. It was extremely dry (the bread was crunchy on the outside and really dry on the inside) and not much flavor. The Eggs Benedict was good - the ham was delicious. Service was good - but not great. We had to ask for a refill on coffee (which is fine - but GREAT service anticipates your needs). We also ordered two coffees and two juices and only got one of each - likely a misunderstanding, but still ... Bottom line - I would totally return here again, but not for brunch.

Decided to try Belcampo has we had a Groupon. I was expecting a little more as Belcampo is really a butcher shop first. While the preparation and presentation of the NY strip and pork chop were very good, the tenderness and flavor was not as expected. For the price, I think there are better steak served elsewhere. We did enjoy the service.

We really wanted to like this restaurant. They have an excellent meat counter, and we like the Larkspur restaurant. But the server got our order wrong, even after a rather lengthy discussion about the item we DID order. The steak was incredibly tough. And the fries were very greasy/heavy. We all had indigestion afterwards.

It's tiny but not cramped. Reservations were easy to get but necessary. Food is very comfort oriented with a upscale touch. At brunch, the farro bowl was excellent, but the bacon & brioche, awesome as it sounded, fell short. The bacon (which was actually a massive chunk of pork belly) was great, but the bread was wheat, but brioche. The boney mary is great, as is the spritz. No liquor available, but the wine may list looks great.

Apps were great but for a $40 NY strip steak, what a rip off. We asked for medium rare. It showed up pre-sliced. The outside of the slices were pink in the middle, but when you bit into...dry as a bone. I think they cooked it medium rare and then reheated it. Very disappointing compared to the preceding apps.

High quality meat. But some odd/sloppy preparations due to them trying to be a little too clever. The appetizer roast beef dip eclair was good but the meat was served cold, as though it had come straight out of the refrigerator. The grain salad was a large and not very tasty pile of grains that was not very salad-like. I took it home and spiced it up as a side dish the next day. The lamb burger looked good but at $18 for a burger it better be good! The lamb Shepard's pie was tasty but a little lacking on lamb and they barely browned the potatoes on top which was a little disappointing.

Food was fantastic. Service took a while despite the restaurant not being busy. Also, an off-duty employee was sitting at the table next to us drinking and getting lots of attention. The plus is that she overheard our discussion about where our server was and she expedited is getting or check. I've been here lots and love the food. This was the first not-so-great experience with the service.

Food was only ok. I ordered the Steak Frite. Meat was kind of tough. Not really worth what you're paying for. My friend ordered the burger. I thought that was good. He didn't order fries but he was brought an order of fries and charged for it. When ordering, be sure to say no fries; otherwise, you will get it and have to pay for it. My meal came with fries which was plenty for the two of us to share. Ambiance was nice and the restaurant was quiet.

We went here for brunch to meet up with family and it was the perfect atmosphere for it. Great place to bring children, and on a sunny day it is fun to take a stroll down Polk street afterwards to get some fro-yo or coffee. We ordered the chicken Caesar salad, which was great. The double patty burger, which my boyfriend didn't go over-the-moon for, but said was good. The winning dish was the French Toast, which we all helped finish. Absolutely get the French Toast!

The restaurant has a nice throw back look with the high wood paneled walls and a welcoming ambiance. We had a great server and overall loved our meals. We ordered the french dip eclair (cold and just OK), Caesar salad (good size and tasty), steak and fries (very good), pork chops (waiter recommend and fabulous), and rhubarb/strawberry crisp (wonderful). It's wonderful to dine at a restaurant with great qualify ingredients (grass fed meats, etc.) at a good price. We purchased meats from the butcher during our meal (counter closes at 8 pm) and our meats were refrigerated and later delivered to our table. This is a great to place take people who are unfamiliar with grass fed meats. Allow time for parking if you are driving.

I was excited about this place as I am familiar with their outstanding meats. But the food at the restaurant is only above average. Given the cost I would not say it's a good value. Ordered the cheesesteak eclair for an appetizer and it was basically a cold cut roast beef sandwich. Main courses were the lamb shank and steak with fries. Neither of which were outstanding. The service staff were courteous and excellent though. I just think the menu needs help.
