Wonderful 59th birthday for John White, he’s been coming to the Beachcomber for decades! It was perfect and our waitress Penny was great! Looking forward to coming back again & again! We’ve been here 3x’s in the last 3 weeks....

Went for Fathers Day Brunch. &50 per person for a set menu with food that tasted like it was made a week ago. No choice of how you wanted your cheap cut of steak cooked or how you would like your eggs prepared. Pancakes tasted watered down. Very disappointing with the food for the price and the high rating this restaurant has. The only thing this restaurant has going for them is the view and being right in the each.

Took my dad here for father’s day brunch. Our server was curtis and he was great as well as the food! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place for brunch or a quick bite while at the beach!

Wow what a spot. The Beachcomber does it again and again, and never disappoints. We were 15 minutes late to our reservation. Turn us away? Nope. We sat outside on the corner, right next to the crashing waves. Girlfriend gets cold, staff gets her a blanket. The food is remarkable, and the view can't be beat. Would highly recommend.

The Beachcomber has a prime spot right on the ocean at Crystal Cove. So they were under no pressure to serve really good food, but they do! We love the Beachcomber. The only complaint is that one must wait sometimes, BUT they manage traffic well. Strongly recommended

We go to the Beachcomber for the incomparable ambiance, and the food is always good. This time, however, the food was equal to the atmosphere of the restaurant.

We always love coming to The Beachcomber. I am not a fan of the tomato soup, but like most everything else. Our favorite is the Bad Bloody Mary! It's a meal in itself.

Beachcomber is one of my favorite locations for a date or just a personal escape to reflect. The service is great, the location is right on the sand and the view is amazing. Dolphins, Sunsets, salt air, people enjoying life. Now that you can make reservations things are even better. However, even if you have to wait, what a place to sit and and reflect before you dine.

Food was good. Nothing amazing, but you can't be the view. Unfortunately our server was just trying to rush us out. We got there 15 minutes before dinner service and he told us we'd have to wait an hour to get dinner, even though dinner service started at 430. We ordered an app that came out literally 2 minutes after we ordered it. We didn't even have drinks or water yet and the app was cold. Sent it back and it came out 2 minutes later and cold again. We went ahead and ordered lunch as told, and then watched everyone who arrived 15 minutes after us get the dinner menu and food promptly. Disgusted. But his tip reflected his attituded.

Brought my out of town date to my favorite spot and as always it did not disappoint! He loved it and we loved Mary! Oscar wasn't there so we had Mary who is AWESOME! Food was amazing, but ambiance was definitely worth it. We were hoping for the plastic to be lifted for a better view... maybe next time!

My husband and I few down from San Francisco to take my parents and Grandpa to lunch, to announce we are pregnant. We were really looking forward to this reservation. As you can imagine it’s a big deal to share this news with your family and a memory we would cherish. After making our reservation at the beachcomber a few weeks before flying down to share the news, I had called and asked if my ESA dog was allowed at the restaurant. The man who worked there assured me that there would be no problem and I could absolutely bring her.
On the day of our reservation we got to the restaurant with our dog, sat and ordered drinks and appetizers to start before we planned to announce the big news. Midway through our appetizers, as we were getting ready to order our entree, the manager, Brandon, came up to me and said there were no dogs allowed on the patio and asked us to leave. I told him what I had told the hostess, that I previously called to confirm and was told this would not be an issue. He did not stand behind this one bit and insisted no dogs were allowed and his employee must have been confused or “afraid”.
After being made to feel extremely uncomfortable, with other tables now looking at us, we asked for the check. It was on after we informed him we would be contacting our lawyer that his tone changed. By that point the entire experience was tainted.
I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before, and it’s shocking this all came from the person who is supposed to be in charge of giving guests a quality experience. It really says a lot about the training when the staff is not all on the same page about what is allowed and not allowed at the restaurant. The location is beautiful, but service means everything - it’s really lacking at the Beachcomber .

Beachcomber is a classic for decades. Fun to be ON the beach. But cuisine makes a foodie happy. We had halibut, lamb, filet mignon, and rib eye special. All delicious! Grandkids loved the kids menu. Everyone loves the raising of the cocktail flag!

Love this place! Our 2nd time back and it didn’t disappoint.
Food was great, and our kids loved the Artichokes to start things off, and s’mores for dessert!
We’ll be back for sure.

Enjoyed our lunch here this past Memorial Day! Salmon plate was a tasty and fresh, healthy option and the Kobe burger did not disappoint. Fresh beignets for dessert were popular. Solid drinks and service and a nice way to experience the beach area at crystal coves.

The location cannot be beat as the restaurant is right on the beach. But, diners should be warned that parking is located "across the street," which is actually a 10-minute walk (about 0.5 miles) from the restaurant. The food, especially the crab stack and braised short ribs, and service were excellent.

This was the second we visited and the food was just as good as before. You have an excellent view of the beach and ocean. The wait staff was very nice and food came out as ordered, hot and fresh.

It’s a bit expensive, but overall worth it.
