Booked for mother's day and checked the menu online ahead of time because we were going for a specific item. When we arrived we noticed that it wasn't on the menu and the waiter said the online menus are not correct. Food we ended up ordering was pretty good but the waiter in general seemed annoyed with his job. Decided to get dessert, asked the waiter before ordering if the brownie was served warm, he said yes. It arrived cold and hard as a rock. He took it off our bill but overall it was an underwhelming experience. Won't be returning.

For Mothers Day, the only issues with the Beachcomber are: 1. Parking -- the lot was full with all the people going to the beach on a lovely day. So when we explained we had a restaurant reservation, the attendant let us drive around and follow people going to their car to take their place. The sign at the lot is "lot full" so when we drove up, the attendant let us drive around to find a place. But a lot of people just turned around and left. 2. We had made two reservations for one table for four and another for 3. When we tried to change our 3 to a 4, we were told that we could not. But we were then seated at a table for four with an empty seat. The manager explained that the reservation system is not under their control but is managed by the State of California. A real fault in the reservation system, in our opinion

My favorite place to dine in the OC!! Excellent food and lovely Mothers Day Brunch. Ambiance is unmatched in the OC. Service was friendly and Oscar went above and beyond as our server.

Disappointed with the service despite booking a month in advance. I made a reservation for five and specifically requested an ocean-view corner table. I even placed a credit card on file to secure it. When we arrived at 7:00 a.m., we were seated in the middle of the restaurant. The hostess said she'd check on the request and never came back. I then spoke with someone who seemed to be the manager. He told me that if I wanted that table, I should have made a reservation a month in advance—which is exactly what I had done. He also claimed the table was reserved for lunch, but it was still early in the morning and more than enough time before lunch service. Just two minutes later, a walk-in party was seated at that exact table. I asked them directly, and they confirmed they had no reservation. The manager gave misleading information and made no effort to help. For the high price we paid, the food was just average. The only highlight was our server—he was friendly and attentive.

First time here and enjoyed the ambiance of the ocean front dining. With our reservation, our hostess sat us immediately. We ordered the beignets first while we looked over the menu. They did not disappoint…it was like indulging on warm pillows of sweetness. So good! With that preview of what was to come, we knew our breakfast was going to be amazzzing, which it total was. The service was friendly and inviting. The view of the ocean just added to the ambiance of the whole experience. What beautiful gem to uncover in Crystal Cove!

It’s always a treat to enjoy the beach while waiting for dinner at Beachcombers. Drinks were great - grilled root vegetables were somewhat un- identifiable. Love this place but noise level of conversations around us were really loud! Fyi- crystal Cove parking no longer accepts dinner receipts for free parking.

Hector was attentive during our visit. Wished there were a couple more "non-seafood" menu options but the squash "spaghetti" was really good!
