bd's Mongolian Grill - Overland Park
Excellent menu for the money, fresh food, we love it
Saturday night dinner (9pm) at BDs was perfect. Just enough customers at this time so you don’t feel alone but not too much so not to wait too long for anything. Our waitress was good. We all 4 got the one bowl for $14.99. Our Wine was $5 and Beer $5. The food still seemed plentiful and fresh. The shrimp wasn’t that great as they were small and tasted farm raised. I don’t expect ocean fresh but I don’t want it to taste funny or refreezed either. Can’t really pinpoint the issue with shrimp. After you get your noodles, meat, veggies, sauce and seasoning at the food bar, the cooks were fine, and it took about 5 mins to get your food cooked. At the table, the waitress had our indicated choice of rice, lettuce or tortillas that was included with meal. We would come back as everyone seemed friendly, and we were in and out in 30 min.
Food was very good, fresh & I liked the new Garlic sauce !! Excellent fast service ! Will definitely be back soon... 😊
We brought our whole family and had a really fun experience.
Great food and large quantity
I had my birthday meal here again, with a party of several others. I was able to book my table with ease, and was able to sit within two minutes of arrival. The food was great as always.
Great experience and the food was great.
They work with allergies which is extremely important to me... Employees are always friendly and helpful...
Great atmosphere, food, & fun for all ages! I reserved a table for 8, but ended up needing a table to seat 12. The hostess was kind enough to accommodate me & my guests. I would definitely recommend them!
Found a live bug in the salad.
We have been coming to this Mongolian Grill for years. The food was as good as ever. However, this time the table was sticky on the edge and underneath were we put our hands. It always takes too long to have my meal prepared in the back to avoid food allergy contamination. The bar service had no olives for one of our drinks.
That said, the reservations made through Open Table were great. We were escorted to our table at the appointed time even though all of our party had not arrived.
Wasn't super busy so we didn't wait for the chefs to grill our food at all. Food was fresh. My teenager loves it.
bd's Mongolian Grill is one of our family favorites. Food is very good, and the kids enjoy being able to customize their entree (bowl) exactly as they desire and also have fun experimenting with making sauces. Very good food!
Always great food and service! A family favorite. Frequent visits for us whether for special occasions or just for a great meal.
It’s alright. Nothing special. My daughter enjoyed watching them cook.
Service was great! Cooks interacted with our 6yr old & made her laugh. server was very nice.
great as always and the soup was off the chart, service was great, cooks were fun and our party was larger than 10 and they did make room for all of to be at 1 long table
Yes id just hope they dont get the server i had she was the worst server I've ever had
Great food as always! Great service too! Will definitely come again.
The restaurant was crowded and noisy. That’s to be expected since it was Father’s Day, but we had to stand in line 15 or 20 minutes to get to the grill. I wouldn’t go on a holiday again. I’m not sure I would go back at all. It was okay, but it was not a relaxing meal experience.
Over 25 people in line for grill. Made for a not so pleasant eating experience. Other than that, it was excellent
Our waitress Carly was AMAZING. She was very helpful and attentive.
Graduation lunch! Great value and atmosphere!
our service was great. our waitress was fantastic. the cooks were wonderful. they made my birthday experience wonderful.
It was Mothers Day so crowded and loud. Food was great as usual. Service was fine. Was disappointed that a 6:30 reservation had us seated at closer to 7. They did seem a bit disorganized in that area. But for a big way-out day, they still did a good job.
Great food, great atmosphere. The funniest part is watching kids make their combinations 😂😂
The waiter was amazing. The food was great too.
Our server was just OK. I feel like she noticed we were attempting to be frugal, but without knowing WHY, she treated us sub-par during our meal. That being said, she was able to take care of a couple discrepancies on our bill.
We had a large group of 9 people. My son was part of the group and is in a wheelchair. Our server quickly came to help us rearrange the table to accommodate him. The food was very good. I expected a little more variety, but the quality was excellent. There was a bit of a wait a the grill but it was busy so we understood. We brought a cake and they helped us with bringing forks and plate. I would definitely return again.
The service was great. Our waitress was very helpful. We spent three hours dining and chatting. It was a relaxing evening, a good way to celebrate my 60th birthday.
As always great service and food.
Food was fine-- price a little high for the small bowl you get. Free kids meal for 3 and under was very generous, though. We wanted to try it out but probably will not ever be back.
The food and atmosphere are fantastic, we were a little displeased that we were unable to get a to go box to bring our food home. But other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.
We were celebrating our daughter's 25th birthday. Love that you have large round tables for a big family. It makes conversation so much easier. Our Mongolian creations were awesome. Love that you now have ribeye and yum-yum sauce. Our meals were scrumptious. We'll be back.
Our server Cheyenne was an AMAZING young rockstar!! My son said "BEST BIRTHDAY DINNER EVER!!" We've come here every year for his birthday since he was 4, because he loves it. He is now 16, and swears he wants to continue going each birthday (and the times in between)! Thank you so much Cheyenne, for helping us make this year as special as he deserves!
Always love coming here as we can choose exactly what we want to eat, adding the salt, spices, and sauces as we like. The servers could be more attentive in clearing tables, and Mongolian music would be a real treat to enhance the ambiance.
Table and menus were sticky to the touch. Less than ideal seating location. Recipe cards by buffet were sticky as well. The ingredient buffet was lacking some selections, especially the noodles. At that time, one of the employees was taking temperature readings of the individual meat trays, I’ve never seen this before all the times we’ve eaten here, especially when it’s so busy. The grillers were less than enthusiastic, meats were chewy, vegetables crunchy. We will come back because all of our previous experiences here have been good. Just an off day I guess
BD's is my absolute favorite restaurant! The food is phenomenal, and the staff is always super friendly, welcoming and attentive.
Overall BD's is a great place to eat. The only disappointment during this past visit was that literally, everything on the salad bar was frozen except the lettuce. I had to wait for everything to thaw on my plate before I could eat it.
We had a very bad waitress. We waited quite a long wait for drink refills. There was one woman who was overly loud. I didn't need to hear her conversation from 3 tables away. Her children were also creating problems for the wait staff.
