Welcome to Aragosta Bar and Bistro, the latest addition to Boston’s vibrant Waterfront dining scene. Located on Boston’s Harbor Walk in the North End, Aragosta offers a warm, social atmosphere in a stunning Waterfront setting, featuring an open kitchen with Chef’s Counter and an outdoor terrace with views of Boston Harbor and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The meal was fine, unremarkable but ok. Service was sullen and off putting.

Food was good but service was horrible and slow. There was an hour between being served our appetizer and entrée. I was not offered another drink, or even more bread. Just sat at an empty table for an hour with no food. And looking around, every other table was in the same situation. I almost walked out.

We attended for Restaurant Week so we got a great value for our three course meal. However, we felt a bit confused at the end of the meal when we received the check and learned about the outrageous cost of the water that we ordered. I'm not particular about my water, so let me caution you about ordering the bottled water in advance. The food was amazing. We had the petite filet with the crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. Our only complaint about the steaks is that they both came well done even though we ordered them medium and medium well. They were still delicious. I had the apple crisp with raspberry sorbet for dessert and I ate every last bite. So delicious. My friend very much enjoyed her gelato. All in all, I would recommend for people looking for a fancier date. We also didn't have a view from our seat even though the restaurant was mostly empty when we attended. The ambiance is romantic, but be ready to spend!

The restaurant was fine in terms of the look and feel. The views were non-existent - too bad it was on the first floor. The place was only half full, yet the service was slow at first - quite a wait before we were greeted by our server - after that, the water was terrific.
The problem - a huge one, was that our food did not come. The kitchen was obviously in crisis, and we waited for over an hour after placing our order (1.5 hours after arriving) and then left - without eating. The waiter was SO apologetic - not his fault - and he did insist on comping us our glasses of wine, but we couldn't even complain to the manager, as she was tied up with other diners complaining about the same problem. A real shame on a special night.

It was a little dissapointed. They told me I had no reservation when I got there but there was plenty of room, so we got a table. In the website they don't tell you it would be a breakfast buffet. I didn't like the buffets. We decided to stay because of my friends. It was a pretty expensive paying $30 for the amount of food I took. I will be back in summer to try the patio. It looks like nice!

Went here after reviewing their brunch menu online. The brunch looked amazing. We were really excited to go there to celebrate a birthday. When we got there the service was poor and there was no menu. Just a limited selection of breakfast foods. They didn't tell us how much it was and based on the selection I thought it was going to be complimentary. Just eggs, bacon, yogurt and some breads and potatoes.

I assumed wrong. The waitress dropped the bill off and the brunch was 25 pp. For what we got, it was absolutely not worth it. Very disappointing.

We were celebrating our anniversary and made reservations because it has been hard to get a table there in the past. This used to be a wonderful place with great outdoor seating, an excellent menu and service, but this time when we arrived there for dinner there was nobody to seat us - we had to go looking and found the wait staff gossiping outside and not paying attention. We got a nice outdoor table but the "new" menu consisted of three unimaginative dishes: chicken, meat, fish. I asked for the wine list and they pointed to the same menu that had a couple of very average wines by the glass. We left and ate at Lucca in the North End instead, which was wonderful. What happen here? We used to love this place.

Service was worst I ever experienced. Entree came before apps, some apps never came...drinks took 30 minutes, dishes were wrong and we said we can't eat pork and pork was all over the food😒

Perfect family dinner for four with delicious, organic and health-focused/ whole-food based meals in a cozy and yet modern setting by the water. Lovely to sit outside on a warm night at the fire pits if you can snag a table.

Have dined here several times in past and never disappointed until tonight.
What happened? Change of hotel owners, previous chef left, no new chef in house as of yet, hotel manager inspired menu could be some of the reasons for inferior experience. Hope this is temporary because I love the location and ambiance of this restaurant.

We arrived and the outdoor seating was closed but they seated us indoor at a very nice corner table. Quiet seating. Food was delicious but pricey! My scallops were delicious and the garlic shrimp delicious. Service was great and overall I would definitely go back!

It was lovely to be able to sit outside on a hot night and be cooled by the Harbor breezes. We had soup, some very fresh clams and oysters from the raw bar and then ordered all the starter which we shared. A perfect light meal for a hot nite. When it seemed like it might rain, we mover inside. The tables are widely spaced both inside and outside which means you can hear yourself think. We will definitely return.

Went there for an early Saturday night dinner. We were looking for a place with a great view and this certainly was the spot. We ordered a couple different drinks, then sat and watched the boats sail by. Dinner was fantastic, I highly recommend the scallops!

It's a nice restaurant with a great view. Was told we had to order food if we wanted to sit by the waterfront - even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Besides that, it was a good experience.

When we came for breakfast we were told that the wait for food would be 15 minutes. The waitress did not come over for 10 minutes. She offered us drinks (Coffee and juice) while we were waiting. It took us 20 minutes later to get the coffee and juice. It was a full hour before she took our food order - we had to ask the manager to send her over. (Additionally half the time whoever is supposed to be at the host stand - is never to be found - this was true the night before also. ) Once the food came an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down - the brunch was very nice...but the service is lacking. (They did give us our coffee and juice for free.)

Believe it or not they overcharge us 2 times
first they put on check receipt the salad not belong to us
then when we payed - we are give them cash and credit card( they take the cash and put on credit card receipt full price again.......)
talk to manager he apologizes( he should do something for us for this 2 mistake ) but " no" he just say" sorry "
I'm not going to recommend this Restaurant to my friends or anybody

I had the worst experience here. We came for my birthday and the service was awful. The server took 20 min to even get our first drink order, took our entree order about 35 minutes after being there and came back 15 minutes after to say " he forgot to put it in" when my steak finally came out it was cooked well done when I had ordered Medium rare. I will not be going back. Probably one of the worst experiences I have had dining all year.

The food was good but the service was terrible. Made a reservation but didn't get seated until 25 minutes later, took another 30 minutes for a waiter to come to our table and then we had to ask for everything - even napkins and utensils.

First of all, I rarely review the restaurants but this experience was just not up to par for Boston or any place. People should not be OK with mediocre service and food at a pricey restaurant and let it slide. Hence why I'm writing a review. First clue, I wrote I preferred terrace seating by the water and no one bothered to read the note on my reservation and asked me where I'd like to sit, but the seating by the water was already occupied so we sat on the other side by the street. Had some one read the note, a table by the water would have been reserved. That's what the notes on opentable are there for! Yes maybe I'm being picky but what's the point of going out to eat in Boston and paying the prices when you don't get what you ask for. Second clue, the food is overpriced for what you get. The $28 scallops are literally only 3 scallops and a small side of primavera, I would have thought we would get at least 5 scallops. That is unacceptable. The lobster cavatappi was $13 for a tiny plate, my wife and I were pretty surprised with this place. Last clue to top it off, the Heineken was $9 a bottle...what?!!?! It's not a cocktail just a beer. The food was just mediocre, we should have probably just stayed home. We are no strangers to high end places or prices. But here the prices are just too high for these tiny portions. I would not go here again or recommend it. Maybe someone else had better experiences but this was mine.

The much-touted view was an unpicturesque naval base. The place was not crowded, but the noise made conversation very difficult. The food was tasty, but waaaay overpriced for what you were getting: an imaginative presentation of pedestrian food.

I'm glad I wasn't paying. I will not be returning.
