Was there for Summerlicious. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. The beer was OK; I've had better. I'd recommend it for a great meal, but not if you just want drinks.
Horrible service. Refused to serve oyster on buck a shuck. One of ur server refused to serve oyster on buck a shuck for a party of 5 they claimed u guys don’t have anymore oyster anymore at 6pm .... really? Won’t come back again
Went for Summerlicious and the food was absolutely superb! I had the Cornish pasties and shepherd’s not pie. Also had the oysters which were on special for $1 each and they were delicious too.
This was the worst service ever that I have faced in Toronto! Took 15 minutes before the first server showed up, after 55 minutes- we did not get our food. What was on the menu as a salad was deep fried cauliflower- looked like leftovers from another restaurant.
In spite of warning about my allergy, they served me items with allergens leading me to fall sick.
First time dining at Batch as a result of Summerlicious. Lovely setting, great location, very spacious and not noisy at all.
We tried the Summerlicious menu, and I want to try the regular menu next time as I saw your Fish and Chips and it looked really yummy.
Service was top notch and very friendly. My family and I ended up buying 7 bottles of beer as well.
Thanks for a wonderful dining experience.
Great experience - it was a tad loud
We don't know the normal menu, but we don't recommend to go for summerlicious.
we did not get to try the menu as the kitchen had closed, but we enjoyed the cream ales and the nice atmosphere. thanks for a nice finish to our theater run.
We were looking for a place to have breakfast with friends and discovered Batch. It was during FIFA, so we enjoyed great food, great game and a fantastic ambiance. The waiter was possibly the best I have ever had. He was lovely with a capital L. He should give training. My eggs were poached to perfection.
Lovely space. Service was somewhat spotty. Server was nice but not really “there” - there had been a busy Father’s Day event before us. I felt like they were tired and we were inconvenient.
Good food selections, reasonably priced. Some wine overpriced. Friendly, competent service. Comfortable atmosphere, if your table is not near the sports bar screens. Nice in-house brewed beers. Appreciate long open hours. In sum - try it - you'll like it.
What a great place!! Excellent food, service and drinks! I had the brisket hash, and I'm definitely going back. I didn't realize they do buck a shuck weeknights after 9:00 and Wednesday evenings. This place has it all!
Had a great night - super service at the end of a Friday workday, charcuterie plate was smallish, but very tasty, ploughmans sandwich was great.
We ordered Oysters - these were probably the worst oysters I have ever had.
Great fish fingers!
When I arrived at the restaurant on June 1st at 12:30pm it was very busy. There were at least two large parties in the dining room where I was seated. The service was very slow, the food order took about 40 minutes to arrive (after I had to flag down the server and ask her what was taking so long). When the food finally arrived it was not very good (ploughman's sandwich, never again!!), and the server ran away so quickly I had to yell at her to get her attention as I needed another drink. I will not be visiting this restaurant again and I will NOT be recommending it to ANYONE!!!
Had the BATCH burger which was marvelous. Really liked the extra chunky fries. The toffee pudding was excellent too!
Friendly attentive staff. Micro brew choices. Limited menu but adequate quality.
Loved that there were games in the basement!!
This place is okay...just that...
The food, ambience, service etc is fine. Nothing to rave about. Nothing to complain about...really...just minor issues. In any case, I wouldn't go back.
My son was super excited to see the board games we could play while waiting for our meal. Connect 4 was a hit!! Thanks for having the games.
Great brunch, excellent decor, great service.
Oysters was great.
Good Cocktail - Moscow mue
Batch is a very inviting place . The decor is great , it has big bright windows , a great menu , the food was amazing . The server we had seemed to be a bit overwhelmed on our visit but knowing everyone has a bad day I would definitely go again. Batch needs to make a gluten free menu as one of my friends has a gluten allergy and there was almost nothing there to accommodate that . They wouldn’t even make her a mashed potatoe because it was before dinner time . Our reservation began at 1 pm . So you would think they could at least make an exception in this case.
Great location. The decor is very hip. The food was delicious, with an excellent selection of in house brews. The wait and management staff were very friendly. Great spot for lunch or dinner with friends or a date night outing.
Unfortunately it is a very noise place. They offer a good quality food, tasteful and well served.
Terrible service. Server ignored allergy requests for meal, drink requests and our table generally. She never checked to see how the food was (and had to be flagged down to confirm the meal contained an allergy item, despite the request), or to see if refills of drinks were needed. Eventually another server gave us water refills and the General Manager the bill. We then got a bill from another table, then a bill charging us twice for the allergy meal which was to have been removed completely. Third time was a charm, although there shouldn’t have be any bill at all by then.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service! I visit Batch every time I'm in Toronto!
Really nice place to eat. The decoration is charming. Service was excellent : I ordered something wrong for drink and they were so nice to change it ! I appreciated it) and our waitress was smiling and nice.
We just regretted the lack of choices for the meal.
Excellent location and ambiance. The lamb burger was delicious.
The food was just ok - I got the roast chicken and the spätzle was all wrong, it's not meant to be sweet and there were raisins in it. My boyfriend got the lamb and said it was flavourless and the two side sauces weren't good. The beer was really good but pricey at $7 each, and for $22 per plate we could have just ordered Indian food from our local place and saved money. Wish we had done that.
A funky micro-brewery with an excellent cross-section of beers, and good food served quickly. Not fine dining, but an great place to meet friends, and hold a casual business lunch.
As soon as my friend and I walked in, we noted how cute and clean everything was. Service was perfect, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, presentation as well as taste/quality. My friend ordered the croque Madame, I ordered the raspberry pancakes with brown butter hollandaise and bacon on the side... It was a decadent, delicious lunch.
We like the ambience and design of the resto. Food was great...when we finally got it. Always nice when a resto comps something when wait verges on the ridiculous. This one did not.
I went to this restaurant during the first time I visited Toronto. I found it online as a bunch place. The minute I walked in a knew I had made a great decision. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming. The service exceeded my expectations. The food was prompt and amazingly delious. The manager was very professional and was around multiple times to make sure the service was meeting our expectations and even more. I would highly recommend anyone living or visiting Toronto to make sure they check this restaurant out.
Great options on the menu, friendly service, good vibe: busy but not too crowded or noisy and the staff has time to provide good service.
Thanks for the hospitality! Enjoyed the service, ambience, and food.
Went for Easter brunch. We were treated very well and staff was accommodating to anything we asked of them. The food was outstanding and fresh and house beers were great!
