Very nice restaurant with Pleasant atmosphere
Basil's is fabulous! Love the owner and waitstaff!
Tapas. Comfort. Atmosphere. Joseph built the front room for our wedding reception nearly 15 yrs ago. This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta, for this reason and many others.
Meh. Although the food was fresh, portions were small and nothing spectacular. The paella was like bouillabaisse and not a rice dish. No real social distancing. Very tiny pour of wine. Very tiny salad. Kind of a ripoff.
Great restaurant, great service, great food. They were very clean and all the waiters wore masks and gloves. Food is just so good and so is the patio.
We found it a nice place for Sunday's Brunch. Unfortunately not many people were there due to coronavirus outbreak but we enjoyed our dining there. BTW, our waitress was very pleasant and friendly.
The service was great. We were seated promptly, however even though we had a reservation for quietist table possible, , they ran inside to pull two rNdom tables together. It is quite noisy inside, but we were ok. The food was delicious, and the service and details about the specials were on point. I did have the Paella which is usually baked but I appreciated their lighter version. They did bring out a beautifully decorated dessert for the birthday lady. Thank you !
We love Basil's and look forward to warm weather to use their great outdoor deck!!!
My wife and I hosted a dinner with an engaged couple to provide guidance and perspective as they go into their wedding and most importantly their marriage. We really wanted it to feel like home and this space provides that “comforts of home” atmosphere. My wife and I have celebrated several special occasions here, so this provided a perfect backdrop to the moment.
Excellent salmon cooked to perfection. Mussels, crab fritters, ravioli. Yummy. Calamari was great. Nice guitar player providing great ambiance.
Live music, good food, great service. Even brought us a free appetizer. Highly recommend
Good meal no issues we recommend it
Meal was great, had the kabob plate (beef, chicken, and lamb) with calimari and fried ravioli as our appetizer. Great portion sizes and strong drinks. The only negative thing about our experience was that service was really slow once we got to our table...seemed like one person was responsible for the entire front half of the restaurant :/
Tables are crammed in together. Know it was Valentine weekend, but it was SOOOOO crowded and SOOOO noisy. My husband says we will never go there again.... The music was on the porch, and it was too loud also. Food was tasty, but too expensive....
It was Valentine's dinner so they had a pre fix menu, but will defenetely come back and try their regular menu.
Our first time at Basil's. I really enjoyed it. The food is excellent the staff is friendly. The only thing is it is a little cramped and noisy.
Went there for Valentine's day. Felt like cattle being herded into a cattle car, except the cattle probably have more room. There were too many people in the restaurant for the space and the staff was showing the effects of the stress. Had to shout to be heard over the noise. I understand that Valentine's day is a big day for restaurants and they rightfully want to maximize the profit, but Basil did so at the cost of customer experience.
Valentines Day menu was wonderful lots of delicious options.
First time I've eaten here and didn't sit on the lovely outside patio since it's winter. The place was quiet which is great if you want to have a real conversation and hate noisy restaurants. Vegetable tempora was really zucchini tempora and I dislike zucchini--very disappointing (few onions, no peppers, no mushrooms). However the main courses were very nice--Meditarranean chicken and salmon. Delicious lemon chess pie for dessert.
Nice casual ambiance
Lots of good food choices
Great value too
Basil's never fails to exceed my expectations. Friendly staff, delicious food, and fine wine selection. Perfect place for a date!
Ok food, good service. Average ATL restaurant.
Always such great service. Food is amazing, a tad bit pricey, but so worth it. Our only wish is to have better selection of desserts!
Both the owner and wait staff very attentive. It was raining so loved having valet parking. First time there will return.
Service was slow. 2 of the 4 meals were overcooked and dry(the salmon and the Mediterranean chicken). Been there before and was much better then. Disappointed.
We had paella on a friday lunch, it was the special for that day. Service was great, the restaurant was empty and we had it all for ourselves. The Limonchello cake is delicious. in general I liked it.
Always a great experience. Very consistent...
Food was average. Nothing as standout or amazing. Service was mediocre, bordering on rude.
Way too loud inside - they need to install sound absorbers in there or we won't be back.
We celebrated my daughter's 22nd birthday. The ambience was very nice. The service was great. Chicken and Filet mignon were great. The grouper and salmon were good. I would go back especially for a date night.
We've been going here since before they hosted our wedding reception 14+ yrs ago. Gets better and better.
Basil was one of the few restaurants open on Christmas night; so we went there for dinner. We did not know that it would be a fixed price menu (probably because of the holiday), but we were pleasantly surprised the food was good and the service was as good as could be expected on Christmas night, when basically the rest of the world was home with their families. Thank you to Basil for being open!
Service at Basil’s was great. The staff was really nice... but the food was not good. My food came out not fully cooked and it lacked flavor. My husband’s food was not good either. We were also surprised when we got to the restaurant with the fact that they had a set menu which was not advertised on their website. Overall... I wouldn’t recommend
Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner! Outstanding food and very friendly service. Our server Amy was great. Couldn’t be better.
Love it everytime
