It’s always a joy to eat at Basil’s! Great food and service.
Had a great Greek salad and crab fritters! So yummy!
My husband and I have been dining at Basil's for about a year. Food and service is consistently wonderful. We have tried several different dishes and love sitting outside on their large deck when weather permits. Highly recommend!
This is always a good choice for lunch, brunch or dinner. Love the food, the ambience and the service. The lamb burger is the best in town and what I usually order. And you can substitute a salad for the fries which is what I like (altho the fries are so good). This is a restaurant I will go to over and over again. If you haven't been there, you are really missing out.
We greatly enjoyed our dinner. We had the roasted cauliflower appetizer, the Greek salad and for entrees we had the trout and paella. All were excellent! We will be back!
Great experience! I would recommend anybody to come to this location. During special occasions like Valentine’s Day the menu can get a little pricey because they have special Valentine’s Day menus. But other than that the food is delicious I would recommend anybody to come during regular days or weekends.
Food was excellent. Crab cakes don’t think they’re called that lol but they’re great!! Everything was just enough not too little or too much. Went on valentines day so it was a select menu but I was happy with the options. Only down side was where they placed us to sit. Think they slid in an extra table which was ours and it was in the direct path of the servers and food runners.
Overpriced Valentine’s Day Menu, which there was no mention of on the site.
Food was awesome, ambience/lighting/music was nice for Valentine’s Day, but COVID-19 precautions were basically nonexistent. Masks were not mandated for individuals inside, every server wore their masks absurdly improperly and in an ineffective manner (below nose or literally just on the chin), social distancing was not in place AT ALL and tables were absolutely crowded together everywhere. For normal settings it would have been tightly crowded, but during a pandemic it was extremely inconsiderate and upsetting.
We have been going to Basil’s for years and they never disappoint. This was no exception.
We sat out on the deck right next to plastic and it was very drafty and cold. We had to eat with our coats on. Food was very good. Hope to go back and sit inside the restaurant next time.
They were accommodating, my party size changed from 4 to 5. They seated us and took our drink order. From that point things were pretty slow. They confused part of the orders a few times. After finally getting the orders straight, the food wasn't thoroughly cooked( basic French toast) on two of the orders. The menu was only partially available and the part that was available, they didn't have the full complete item available. Then the checks were a constant confusion. For my first visit...this is not for me.
We went for Sunday Brunch on Valentine’s Day. I was looking forward to the Creme Brûlée French Toast... only to be told they were only serving “regular” French toast that day. My guest asked for the pancake of the day which ended up being a “regular” pancake. The restaurant was not packed, but our server barely made an appearance at our table. It was disappointing because I have been for lunch twice before with great experiences, but they really dropped the ball this time.
We had not been to Basil's in years and decided to take some friends for a date night out. The ambience has been updated very nicely and we were seated away from other people and felt safe. The menu is creative with lots of great tapas to choose from or entrees. The drinks were great and the food was tasty but the service was poor. Our server acted put off when we tried to ask questions and she was just plain unfriendly. It took a bit long to get a wine refill as well which should not happen during a nice meal. We loved our food and we appreciate the items being priced affordably but not skimping on taste. I will definitely return and try more items on the menu. I highly recommend anyone who has not visited Basil's to check it out. You will not be disappointed.
Basil’s is the type of place you could enjoy every week. Fresh food, casual atmosphere and you feel like they are cooking just for you. Delicious!
Highly recommend Basil's to anyone who enjoys great food from a family owned and operated restaurant!
Basil’s never disappoints! Always a wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to go back soon!
The tapas were amazing! Loved the ceviche. The paella was not the traditional paella I was used to, it was served in a broth with a lot of fish and shellfish. The drinks were amazing and well priced for the strength of them. The servers were fast and very polite. It's a great place if you want to have conversation, its not too loud or awkwardly quiet.
Always a treat to dine at Basil’s! Excellent menu and wine list with a choice of indoor or enclosed dining.
We've enjoyed dining at Basil's for many years and it never disappoints! The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly.
We had a party of 7. My scallops were small and unspectacular, the pricing was high, the overall food quality and preparation for everyone’s meals was poor. We Will not be going back😔
Fantastic service and great setup for a large business luncheon.
Everything was so fresh and well prepared. Will return to continue down the menu!
Amazing! One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. 10/10!
Dinner and service were outstanding!
Joseph and Sam are the best!
30 years in business and still a top notch Buckhead
Restaurant! Can’t wait to come back!
Lots of tasty tapas and savory entrees if you are looking for something more substantial. Great service, especially from Anya who was super friendly and helpful with recommendations and setting up our reservation. I enjoyed dining at this local establishment that has been around for I believe 31 years! They know what they are doing!
Great place for brunch. Excellent food and drinks. Love the setup and ambiance. Not full five because the creme brulee french toast we really wanted was not available.
Love the owner he is amazing . Food was good and the wine was half price. BONUS!!
Great prices, great menu diversity, really cute atmosphere - I love sitting outside when it's nice.
Love Basil’s! We come here after work for a few drinks and tapas...great food, good portions, super nice staff!
Upon entering we were a little unsure if it was going to be good but to our surprise the food was outstanding. Very impressed by the service and quality/taste of our brunch. We would definitely go back.
Amazing experience on New Year’s Day. They were not uploaded to be open but due to a glitch we were able to make a reservation and it was honored. The owner was so kind and helpful when choosing our meal, we had gone for brunch. The restaurant itself felt upscale but homey and comfortable. Will 100% be back (during normal business hours) for the impeccable food and experience
Excellent food, family run business so it seems. Great experience, love the espresso martini
New Year Eve
I've been here a few times. The food, service and atmosphere is always great.
Excellent food! Everything we ordered was so good. The fried ravioli were phenomenal! Great, family-owned, restaurant!
Basil's has potential. For COVID it has a good patio. However, we had to be seated inside which was pretty full. The biggest problem is that the owner's brother was our waiter and he wore his mask on his chin while standing over us talking. We asked him to put his mask on and he got upset with us. It was very uncomfortable. If a restaurant is going to be open, the servers have to know to wear their masks correctly at all times.
I absolutely love this place. If you want amazing food, great service, beautiful atmosphere in the heart of Buckhead... try Basil’s !! Will not disappointe
Dinner was amazing! I didn't think they could out-do their brunch, but they did. The Shrimp Santorin is fabulous. The lamb burger was delicious and so was the trout. AND it's beautifully decorated for the holidays.
Basil's was ready for us when our party of 8 arrived. The service was amazing! the cocktails were well done and the food was delicious. We will def. be coming back for other occasions.
