This was our first time at Barrett’s Grill and we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. It was not busy. We both had the rib eye steak along with a crab cake, the corn crab soup, the shrimp cargot and a house salad as appetizers. EXTREMELY disappointed in the food. The shrimp was so overcooked they were rubbery and difficult to cut, although the sauce was tasty. The soup was disappointing, the crab cakes full of crab but bland. The steaks were the biggest disappointment. They were tough and tasteless even with the maitre de butter. They were cooked medium. I’ve never had a tough rib eye. I didn’t think you could have one. On the good side the house salad was extremely good and our waiter was excellent. We will not be returning. Sorry Barrett’s. I wanted to like you.

We were seated as soon as we arrived a few minutes before our reservation. The decor was very pleasant and diners were appropriately dressed. The food was excellent including a precisely cooked filet. The broiled crab cake was delicious, except the bottom was overcooked. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Food was good and arrived timely. We had good service until half way through, then the kitchen needed help and they called our waiter back to assist. We understand that these things happen, but they should have told us and assigned another waiter instead of us having to chase one down. But all of the service was friendly and apologetic over the inconvenience. Calamari was very good, as are the salads and burgers. We sat outside so it was quiet. Not sure of the noise level inside and it was pretty crowded in there.

We love Barrett’s Grill. Great food and great service! The setting is lovely. Only weird complaint is the music. The last 2 times I’ve visited they have played classic rock. I’m pushing 60 and listen to classic rock in my car but expect something smoother at dinner. It is off putting. Otherwise fantastic

Our Open Table reservation was honored and we were seated immediately. Our server was spot on in every way. The meal was served timely and hot. It was an excellent choice for Friday date night.

The Porterhouse Pork was undercooked, requested medium, received rare, center cold. The same issue with the table next to us. The BRUSCHETTA CHICKEN, chicken rubbery and the Mozz was not of good quality. The appetizer that consisted of salad, prosciutto and burrata was very good. The cocktails were strong, not ideal for all at the table but I enjoyed them.

My wife and I love Barrett's menu. We regularly eat at the Barrett's on the Pike in Bel Air but this day we were in the area close to Barrett's Grill in Hunt Valley, so we decided to give it a try. The food was prepared well and tasted good, but our favorite food item was the Berries Napoleon dessert.

The food here is delicious, but I was definitely surprised by the portion sizes. They also removed a favorite dessert item - key lime pie. I settled for the napoleon, which was a nice bite...literally a bite.

I was there with friends for lunch during Baltimore County Restaurant Week. My first time. The lunch portions were generous and the price also generous. Great service and great food!
