The dinner food is excellent but exceedingly rich! We prefer lunch where we have 1 item and thus our systems are not overloaded. We adore the garden esp. during the pandemic. If I go back for dinner, would ask the chef to cut back on the fat. It is quite expensive given the casual atmosphere and service.

We were here to celebrate a birthday. We were seated up against a large curtain that was rather distracting at the table. Upon entry we were greeted by a very vivacious hostess who was wonderful. The service however from that point on went seriously downhill. Water glasses were not filled despite repeated requests. When we asked the waiter if he could just leave a picture at water at our table since we were having such difficulty getting the glasses filled, he said no we could not do that it was only for the additional sparkling water. We ordered a very expensive bottle of wine to go with the first cobut they he wines we selected were not presented and then when They finally found the right bottle, it needed to be chilled even though we were waiting for appetizers to enjoy the wine with. The waiter was clearly inexperienced and while I understand that staff is a difficult issue at this time, there’s no excuse for the psalm to not have visit our table to discuss the issues with the wine selections. We were overcharged when we checked out, and the entire experience of the check out was beyond proof was just terrible. The machine was quoting $1200 bottles of wine and we were told don’t worry, that’s just an inventory code. Our question was then why do we have a dollar signin front of it? We asked to see a manager and were told that we would be able to probably find someone in HR to come help us… A woman finally arrived at the table and reviewed the list with us our bill with us. She said the problem with the

Nice environment, friendly staff. Portions were small but well prepared. Wine list and dessert menu were underwhelming. Nothing to make it rise to the level of Michelin star rating. Still hungry after we left. We will return to try lunch menu later this year.

Overall we thought the food was excellent. The service was attentive but sometimes a little confused as runners delivered the plates to the wrong person at the table a couple of times. I realize this is a trying time for restaurants with staffing but I expected more from a restaurant with a Michelin star. And speaking of that one star, some of the staff have gotten a bit of a snooty attitude since.

I have to commend the restaurant for requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination to be able to sit inside. I think this should be mandatory for all restaurants right now.

Good service
The food was pretty good- not wow inducing - but good
Off hand I can think of 10-15 places I frequent that are
Just as or more deserving of a Michelin star OK chicken sandwich Chicken was smaller than the bun! They should cut and fan it out over the bun. Caesar salad with meh croutons
I went on line to see what their corkage was. It was not posted on their website as it should be. I googled and found $25. Another search said $30. It turned out to be $40. Steep but I assume
they added a premium because of their Michelin rating
Don’t think I’ll go back - too many other places to try

Went for an anniversary. We were asked if we drink, and I said I did not but my partner does. They gave us two complimentary glasses of champagne because of this. Why would they give me an alcoholic drink right after asking when their menu features many non alcoholic options? It sorta ruined the magic of the evening.

Our favorite wine country restaurant never disappoints! The menu is at one time unusual well appealing. The ambience but they’re inside or outside is casual but special. The service is responsive and friendly and just the right pace for a day In the wine country. Love it!

Ari, our server, was outstanding as was our Korean sommelier. Wonderful experience overall but limited lunch menu. Hamachi crudo was superb but salmon with cabbage way overpriced at $32. The 19% add on service charge was $40. Whilst we understand the restaurant business is really suffering during COVID it would have been nice to have been given a choice or notification of this add on beforehand.

Went for brunch on New Years Day and was sadly disappointed considering Barndiva earned its first Michelin star this year. The food was just average at best. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs were a bit overcooked and the plate and the Eggs Benedict had so much salad greens it was ridiculous! My husband ordered Croque Madame and the egg was also overcooked. The service was ok, not outstanding like we have experienced at other Michelin starred restaurants. It had been a while since we had eaten at Barndiva, the last time being my husbands’s birthday in 2020! That didn’t go well either and we actually ended up leaving before we even ordered. Although we are local, I don’t think we’ll be going back again any time soon.

Disappointed with the 19% health care charge for employees in addition to a tip. I would prefer to be charged higher prices for my food and beverage vs a large service charge plus a tip. Meal was lovely, but for the price (with the additional charges), it felt just so so.

As locals, my Birthday friend and I have dined at BarnDiva in the past, so we knew this was a good choice for her celebration. We were right! When we were greeted by the host we were asked for proof of vaccination. Hooray and good show! Finally a restaurant willing to protect the diners!
The food, of course, is top notch and the Roederer champagne a fitting accompaniment to the shrimp scampi. The standout? The pink lady cake for sure! Light but satisfying and next time I ‘m starting with dessert!

Crab Benedict and fried chicken sandwich were delicious. Waiter was fun but was stretched too thin. I’m afraid they are short staffed as many restaurants are. Certainly that will improve. Will definitely return.

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The flavors were so balanced. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and my bf said it was the best duck he’s ever had. Everything was just better than I could have imagined. Can’t wait to go back.

This restaurant has an arrogant, non-creative chef. Every good restaurant asks any dietary restrictions or allergies. Not here. I follow a low carbohydrate diet. I ordered a King Salmon. Strangely it is paired with Yukon gold potatoes. I requested for this to be changed with mushrooms that they had with Duck. The chef refused. He is so non-creative that he did not have any suggestions. So they asked me to change the dish. So I decided to ditch the entree. Finally they gave me Salmon with a green salad in a separate plate. I have never had such a sour salad. I am never going to Barndiva again. If you have any dietary consideration please check the menu because Chef Jordan will not agree- attitude take it as is or leave it. Our server Ben was great and smart.

I was delighted that vaccinations were required, and checked, for indoor dining. As always, the setting is stunningly chic. Their lunch menu is surprisingly limited, but delicious - I wish a couple of their inventive dinner items could also be available at lunch. The service was expert - so nice to see long time waitstaff - they must treat them well.

The menu is limited. No soup. The portions were very small and the food was nothing special, considering it has a Michelin star. I got the lamb, nothing but 4 one inch pieces that was very tough and 3 one inch pieces of parsnips. My husband got the scallops, there were 3 one inch scallops and 3 pieces of grapefruit for $40. The salad was not memorable either. Went there for lunch recently and got the Cacio e Pepe it came out completely cold. I won’t be back anytime soon.
