Barndiva is a celebration of all things local. Our food is sourced from farmers, ranchers and small batch purveyors who live and work in the magnificent food shed surrounding us.
Food is our passion. In everything we do, it all starts there. Thanks for visiting.
Goat Cheese Croquettes

Teriyaki Glazed Salmon

Excellent meal and service, despite being outside in a COVID environment. Only constructive feedback is to invest in a few more heaters!
Smart casual place with gourmet versions of comfort food, quality service, good cocktails. The place is beautiful, both for the outside dining and indoors. Extremely well-designed outdoor space.
Food was delicious and ambiance was very romantic.
Really enjoyed our dinner!!
Barndiva, what an experience! The staff was friendly, amazing and very professional during these covid times. There was never a question of feeling unsafe during my dinner with my 3 colleagues. Things were smooth and the heaters definitely helped! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get out and have a few bites during these crazy times.
Food was fresh and flavors were generally good; but portion size (of entrees) was small.
Service (during Covid) involved calling/texting a phone number to place an order or ask questions about the menu. Seemed rather inefficient and impersonal, especially considering the mandatory 19% service charge.
Barndiva is such a cute, rustic but definitely gourmet restaurant - our first visit was wonderful! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The patio was sunny and inviting. They had us text our orders to the bar & kitchen and everything came out quickly and on the mark. The salmon with the shaved cabbage Asian slaw was fabulous! Looking forward to when we might visit again!
Geez, the pandemic has really done a number with the formerly exquisite Barn Diva. Our experience was tampered by the efficient yet cold and impersonal ordering system. “Here’s the menu, and please text your orders all at once to this number.” There’s no chatting with waiters or asking questions, and the drinks and the food arrive with the efficiency of a fast food restaurant. But it is soulless, even with the lovely canopy of lights.
Food was meh, overcooked teriyaki salmon and pretty basic pasta. We’ll wait till the old glory returns.
We were walked through the charming courtyard into what felt like a brightly lit overflow parking lot. Sat at a table, handed menus and told we are table 80 and to text all our needs to he following phone number. Are you kidding me? Decided to leave and let the host know. His answer was “let me show you the way out”. Better service and ambiance at McDonald’s.
Overkill on COVID protocol. Rules outlined on texting our order so that everything is contactless/touch less yet the host physically wrote our table number on our menu while insisting we write the table number in our text when placing order. Also let us know that we better get our drink order in quickly and send in both apps and mains at the same time because they may fall behind if we don’t. What????? Yet the one thing the host asked us was if we wanted water. We said yes - sparkling. And after asking the Somm, the food runner and the busser twice, the water was laid on the table as we finished our mains. When we asked for the check - via text - they advised - via text - that the card on file was charged. And if we wanted to look at the check to just ask on our way out. 19% gratuity added. For what? COVID has been a huge challenge to hospitality and restaurants in general - no doubt. But this seemed like they had given up entirely. Very sad.
Wasn’t great for the price.
The restaurant and staff have a contactless system for ordering that is reassuring. Their outdoor dining space is large with plenty of distance between tables. And on a February night we were comfortable with medium weight jackets and Barndiva’s heat lamps. The cocktails were finely crafted, and the menu offers plenty of choices. Even in a pandemic they have maintained there same high quality of food preparation.
Love Bar Diva, one of my favorite places in Healdsburg and one I go back to every time I'm there.
The chicken sandwich was pretty good, but missing a “spicy” element. The Caesar was incredibly salty.
This is a low key restaurant providing excellent fresh food and drinks. The ambience is great. Amazing how they have adapted to the current restrictions, while still providing excellent service, ambience, food, and individual care. Be back there
Lovely ambiance, friendly staff and easy covid ordering system via text.
Odd contactless ordering system by text. Freezing outdoor dining. Decent but unspectacular food
The website shows one menu which apparently is the lunch menu - but it shows it for both lunch and dinner. We went with the expectation of getting something that was not available. It was disappointing. In addition, they sat us at a bad table and when we requested to move to a table we saw open they said it was for a reservation - even though we had a reservation. Overall we were disappointed.
We ordered hamachi, steak and duck. Hamachi and duck was good. Steak was dry.
I loved how they had guests place their orders. You texted the order along with the table number and order and they’d run your food and drink to you
Wonderful setting, excellent service, very good Covid protocol. Good cocktails and excellent selection of wine by the glass. Unfortunately, food was unremarkable. Starter was good, entree was mediocre at best (duck cassoulet). Heavy, overpowering flavors - nothing subtle about it.
I will definitely go back. I’m assuming this experience was an anomaly.
great valentines dinner however it was pricy, we knew that prior
Celebrated Valentine's Day and was not disappointed! Food was delicious (had the goat cheese croquettes with lavender honey and the taters to start...yum!) -- great wine selection too! I always bring friends here -- food is always on point, atmosphere is beautiful and relaxed and service is always friendly.
I found the food average (so did my wife) and it was a little weird having to order through phone text. If you wanted to even order a glass of wine or coke you had to do it through your phone - non-existent service. Automatic 19% tip was ok but I would have probably given less given the lack of human interaction and service. Basically serve yourself - I think I deserved the 19% tip. I don't think the food was up to the reputation this place seems to have. I had the lemon fettuccini and garden salad. My wife had something else but was equally average according to her. Also, outdoor seating is fine but where we were we couldn't see the barn or take in any rustic elements.
Really good safety but sadly forgot one of the dishes I ordered. Happily they said they would refund me once I realized we never got our roasted mushrooms
Lovely dining area outside, great ambiance and food was delicious.
Considering this was the first day they re-opened, it was a flawless experience. The food was better than I remembered, the service impeccable while friendly and warm. They outdoor space was large, and warm and comfortable on a cold Winter night.
I absolutely love this place and everyone that works here is amazing. Jade and Evan are the best!
We visited Barndiva on Saturday night. We arrived a little early for our 7:45 reservation, and the hostess let us wait in their ample outdoor waiting area until a table opened up. We were able to order a couple cocktails while we waited and got seated approx 15 min early. It was VERY busy and they turned away at least four groups without reservations while we waited. So, make a RESERVATION if you plan to go on a weekend night. Our table was in the rear of the building where Barndiva has two large outdoor well-spaced seating areas. Ordering was efficient and easy via a text system they had set-up. The food was excellent - Tuna Hamachi, Steak Frites, Burger - and portions were very reasonable. If you needed anything, you just sent a quick text and it showed up within a couple minutes. We would definitely return.
As always, had a wonderful dinner. The food was terrific and the beautiful, spacious back area is just a perfect spot for outdoor dining with heat lamps and plenty of space between tables.
Magical evening in the garden at Barndiva! We enjoyed a delicious meal under the twinkling lights. The servers were friendly and professional and all Covid protocols were managed extremely well. Looking forward to a return visit soon.
Wonderful outdoor dining experience. Beautiful/garden patio. We went during the day but I'm sure at night it looks lovely with the outdoor lighting. The food was really amazing. You must try the goat cheese croquettes with lavender honey and the Honey Boy Zimba cocktail tasted amazing and the presentation was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for couples, families, gatherings, etc.
Very creative food and cocktail options (think lavender and honey)! Be sure to read the restaurant's COVID procedures before you go, as they are quite different from other restaurants. Texting with staff regarding our needs was efficient and quick.
We are so excited to have discovered our new favorite restaurant in all of Sonoma County! The hospitality is incredible, the food is even better, and the atmosphere is so unique I can't wait to return. You should not miss out on this experience -- it's highly memorable.
Went here for my moms birthday. The food was excellent, the service was amazing and their patio is spectacular!! Would go back for sure!
Everyone was so nice with us and the food was so delicious!
Felt very secure and safe in the garden. Tables were spaced out more than 6 ft. Personnel was masked and gloved.
Food was great, but a bit pricey.
Great afternoon I the garden. Food delicious.
The ambiance was unparalleled and most food was amazing. A couple dishes felt a bit underwhelming and the sticker shock was there when we got our check. Overall good experience
We experienced very poor service. It took more than an hour to get our entrees. No one came to communicate or update us about the delay. We ended up requesting to have the food in a to-go container since it was 45 degrees and the outdoor heaters could not keep up. Upon placement of the containers on our table we requested the bill. Our request was not even acknowledged. We used their text system (you have to text your food orders once seated). They told us they are charging the credit card on file.
We had received great recommendations for this restaurant so this was a great disappointment.
