    Bar was small - and bar service was VERY slow and bartender made wrong drink. Not great experience. Man next to me at bar, talking loudly on his phone and cursing. Something bartender could have addressed. Dinner was very good. Lobster bisque could have been thicker with more lobster chunks. Steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious. Enjoyed the condiment boat w the baked potatoe and complimentary dessert for anniversary. Expresso martini was delicious. Server was exceptional. I’d definitely come back for a special occasion

    Great overall experience. We had a lovely evening celebrating a special occasion. The food was excellent—beautifully prepared and full of flavor and the service was professional and knowledgeable throughout. The only downside was being seated at a small two-top directly next to another couple, despite there appearing to be other more spaced out seating options available. A bit more privacy would have made the night feel more special. Additionally, while our server was friendly and attentive, the level of engagement at times felt a bit much for a couple simply trying to enjoy a quiet evening together. Still, a wonderful night overall and we’d definitely return.

    Unbelievable experience. Normally I do not eat steak out at restaurants because I can make them better at my house, but I am glad I chose to get the Ribeye cap. It was better than anywhere I have had before. Service was excellent. Tara M M was my server and she did an outstanding job! I enjoyed a few of BP old fashions that were excellent as well. Highly recommend the crème brûlée if you have a sweet tooth like I do. Well done BP!

    The steaks are the best in the city with only Butcher and Singer a very, very close second. Service is attentive and efficient, tho be warned that when ordering, the server will try to upsell you to the most expensive items on the menu. You are offered a selection of steak knives, each with a long story about how special they are. They all cut meat, so this seems like a hokey gimmick that’s totally unnecessary. My only complaint about the food is that the creamed spinach was clearly excessively salty. Au gratin potatoes excellent. The popovers served as bread are wonderful tho try to eat while still warm cause they seem to get stale right on your plate. But you can order more. Overall Barclay Prime is still a great steakhouse and worth the high cost for the dining experience.

    We have been patrons of Barclay Prime for years. The service last night was slow and not very attentive. The staff was a little interruptive in trying to clean dishes away from the table before we were done eating. Several staff members keep interrupting the evening asking if they could clear plates when there was clearly food still to be eaten. We ordered drinks which did not come until we asked for the manager and told them. They did comp the drinks but it lead to a un-flowing experience when you are trying to fine dine. The food, when it arrived, was overly seasoned, too much salt and pepper which over took the taste of the food. Lastly, which I had not experienced in my prior visits was that the flow of food was not spaced properly and overlapped pushing us from appetizer/salads to main courses too quickly. In the past, Barclay Prime has been a mainstay for us and highly enjoyable experience, I am hoping this was just a bad night.
