Have been going here for years and never had bad experience but this time was just awful…service was horrible, terribly slow…3 hrs for dinner , had apps before we even got a drink, had to remind the server about our drinks several times, had to remind our server that we needed to order entrees…was awful
Server was so nice!! Friendly & checked in often. Food was great, but a bit pricey. $19 for a very small octopus salad, for example. Salmon entree was delicious. Restaurant has a cool vibe. A/c and fans were on full blast, making it kinda drafty.
Went for lunch. Food and staff were both wonderful.
Kind of a let down. Ordered three appetizers, only enjoyed one (special arugula artichoke salad). Also ordered gnocchi and a pizza; gnocchi was almost inedible, but the pizza was very good. Felt like we kept having weird miscommunication with service.
Really great place in quiet corner of Conshohocken. Excellent, seasonally focused Italian bistro cuisine. Our wait staff was outstanding! Thanks for a great time!
Great food. A little loud but it’s to be expected since it’s not a very big place.
Had a reservation, was seated promptly at a nice table. Service excellent, very attentive. Nice pace, no rush. Thin sliced pizza was very good, also gnocchi with “white” sauce, northern Italian flavor was excellent. Will definitely return.
Floored at the service here. Absolutely top notch. Food and drinks were also exceptional.
Excellent and honest Italian food. They cook simply, like they do in Italy. Top notch ingredients, service and atmosphere.
Yesterday was my first time at your restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff were friendly. Each course was amazing, from the appetizers, to the main course, down to the desserts and drinks. Everything was excellent. My husband and I had a great time at your establishment and will definitely be back again!
Fantastic experience!!! Our server was a delight. We sat outside and it even started to rain and that didn’t deter us from having a good time! Food was amazing! It’s a bit pricey than average, but for the quality it is well worth it
Food is always great! A little loud but we still had a great time.
Great service, friendly genuine servers ! Delicious meal
I wanted to love my return trip - kudos to my dining companion, their wine list, Anastasia our server, and dessert. I’m not sure if “rustic Italian” is the theme or if it’s just standard Italian cuisine minus the marinara, but my date’s gnocchi were questionable - it resembled cat food - and while my lobster rigatoni was better than that, I was told there would be “a kick” and it was a step above bland. I’ve had several wonderful meals at Stone Rose and have only been here one other time (drinks/apps) and very much wanted to be dazzled - however it was just “okay.” For the price, I definitely would expect better.
Great drinks, not overly syrupy or watered down. Always delicious food, reasonable portions, tasted fresh and very satisfying. Always enjoy my experience at BarLucca
Service was great. Seated early on our 6pm reservation. Drinks and starters were at the table fast and were the highlights of the dinner. The entree’s left us disappointed. Order was messed up so the short rib risotto had to be redone. Scallops entree was meh. And the short rib risotto ended up being super bland with no taste. The server removed the short rib from the bill so that was respectable. Not going back anytime soon though.
Bar Luca is a great place for delicious food and drinks - perfect for a Friday night!!!
The food was fantastic. We had the burrata, the gnocchi, and short rib risotto. Those three items will make it hard to pick new things next time because how good they tasted.
We had an excellent meal. The calamari appetizer wasn’t very good, seemed over cooked. The main dishes were excellent. The short rib risotto was phenomenal and the arugula and prosciutto pizza was fantastic. We will definitely be dining at bar Lucca again very soon.
First time here. We will return! Grace was our server & she was excellent. Verona Sprtizer was lovely. We had the bruschetta appetizer and it was really good. I had the gnocchi and the flavors were great, the Parmesan crisps were a fantastic addition and the pasta itself was light and airy, not heave or doughy at all. The margarita pizza was good but heavy on the sauce and hard to eat because it was so super thin. Could’ve been cooked another minute or two for our liking. The blueberry marscapone gelato was amazing. It’s a cute place, very dark and it got noisy as it filled up with more people and the servers really clank the dishes when they’re bussing! Overall a really good experience.
Bar Luca is a conshy staple for a reason. If you’re looking for Italian in this area, just go here.
Food was amazing!!! But I think our Server had to I many tables, we waited 15 minutes to even order drinks. Our appetizers came out after our entrees and no apologies or accommodations just a joke about Baratta for dessert …?
But again the food was incredible, I hope it was just an off night!
Love Bar Lucca!
Amazing food, professional and friendly staff, great cocktails and an interesting wine list. Bar Lucca is a local gem!
As always, dinner at Bar Luca was amazing! Highly recommend.
TI thought that the menu was more limited than I expected.
Tables were not 6 feet apart, and crowd was extremely loud. Couldn’t hear the wait staff speaking to us, had to shout 5o each other over our meal. Surprised that social distance wasn’t being observed with tables so packed in.
Next time, take out only.
Great food & service
The Good: super friendly and helpful staff. Certain dishes were delicious. The Brussels sprout starter was fabulous.
The Not So Good: overall the portions were too large; they were so large it was a turnoff. Some dishes were too salty like the burratta which was also too sweet. The saltimbocca pizza was wet and wasn’t pleasant to eat. Also too many jalapeños - again it was overkill. Overall I would say 20pc less would mean 80pc more appreciation.
Lunch with a colleague as life is returning to normal. Sat outside by Hector St. Great breeze and not too much traffic noise. Salads with chicken or salmon for both. Had to wait for iced tea and server forgot to give us a pen to settle check. Minor issues. Food was great and we will be back. Usually here at least once a month.
Excellent creative Italian cuisine in a very cool spot. The gnocchi is amazing.
Love this restaurant!!
Bar Lucca is a great, lively place with authentic Italian cuisine. Great for adults and families alike. Highly recommended.
Music was too loud. But overall a good experience.
Went with my wife and and my cousin. We all got pastas that were excellent. Burrata appetizers was great. Service was very good as well. We will be back!
I last ate here prepandemic and the food was amazing. This evening the food was just the opposite. The restaurant was so loud and they were playing music and so people were talking over that music it was impossible to even have a conversation across the table without having to shout. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back here due to the ambiance and the food being pretty basic relative to what it was.
Excellent food ! Service was friendly and constant .. A bit loud with a lot of people but that would not dissuade me going again..
It looks like changes have been made to the menu (like a lot of restaurants have had to during COVID). Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food, and we sampled a lot of dishes. Flavors did not work well together, the food was “listless” and not as imaginative as it has been in the past. I hope Bar Lucca is able to resume some of the good tasting experiences they had for us previously.
The service was not great. They were training a new person, who was lovely, but we had to wait a long time to get anyone to come to us and finally hailed a waitperson. We know things have been difficult in the restaurant business, and would not stay away for this reason only....again, the food was just not good. Perhaps they are focusing more on their pizza business....
Always good !
