About Bar Lucca
Family, Food, and Wine have long been some of Bar Lucca's owner, Brian Pieri's great passions in my life, especially the Lucchese food and traditions. This was influenced by his grandfather who migrated from Lucca, Italy (located in northwest Tuscany). Brian had the opportunity to live in Lucca in 2012 and while there he traveled and studied the food and culture throughout Italy. Bar Lucca is his way of sharing this wonderful experience with Conshohocken. Bar Lucca's menu features the delicious cuisine of some of his favorite regions of Italy and throughout the Mediterranean. Bar Lucca focuses on authentic ingredients, handmade doughs, and the Italian way of food.

Bar Lucca Ratings and Reviews
i have dined at bar lucca several times before which is why i thought it would be a nice location to celebrate new years eve. we are not late night diners so our reservation was made for 7:15. i made the original reservation on open table for 4 people then tried to change it to 6 guests and couldn't. i called the restaurant to increase my reservation and thought i had done so successfully, until i received a confirmation stating that my confirmation was for 4 people. i called again and spoke with someone who was able to manually change the guest count.
when i made the reservation i was under the impression that we could order from the regular dinner menu and/or the new years eve menu - Unfortunately, my husband has diet restrictions and the regular dinner menu was NOT available so we had great difficulty in making selections.
we wanted to order a bottle of Malbec, but malbec is not on the extensive wine list - which is fine. However, we asked our server, another server and the bar tender to offer suggestions - they could not help. Why didn't our server seek out the manager or dining room manager to help us ? When we were leaving, we met with a lovely young lady who mentioned that she is the purchasing agent for the wines, local recipes and ingredients of Lucca - why wasn't she asked to assist us with our selection? Given it was new years eve (though early and the restaurant was not full at this time) we can overlook the delayed service and luke warm food. Truthfully, i was disappointed and embarrassed to share one of our favorite local restaurants with our close friends.
My husband and I went to Bar Lucca for an early New Year’s Eve dinner before a movie. While the food was very good, we felt it was way overpriced. Furthermore, their dinner menu consisted of either pizza or a 4-course fixed priced meal that we weren’t prepared for. Even though I booked through Open Table, restaurant staff called me at least twice to confirm - they should have told me about the fixed price menu on the phone. The only saving grace was the quality of the dishes we ordered. They were creative and very tasty. Our only criticism of the food is that the scallops were rather overwhelmed by their accompaniments. Although the flavors and seasonings went well together, they were a bit too strong for such a mild tasting seafood. I’d be interested in comparing our holiday experience with a normal night’s dinner.
Bar Lucca was fabulous from start to finish. A warm and inviting atmosphere and great bar. The open kitchen and exposed brick walls add to the ambiance. The food features simple, basic ingredients to outstanding results. Highly recommended. Probably the best restaurant on the Main Line. Seriously.
As all of the Pieri restaurants this was another great one! This was my first time at the restaurant and I brought a friend. We had a fantastic lunch there with some crab and cucumber salad, sangria and some dessert to end our meet up. Travel from NJ was worth the trip.
I hope to return soon again!
Dined on small plates (appetizers) and pasta. Everything was excellent. They do a little different take on meatballs that’s fabulous and the Boar ragu pasta is a great version of bolognese. The service was friendly, helpful and fast. Warning, when they say your food will come out when ready, believe it and ask for things in the order you want them if important. It’s loud and lively on a Saturday night.
Heard a lot about this place and was excited to try it. We were seated upstairs and it appeared that there was only 1 waiter serving the entire area. Did take a while to get our drinks and menu choices in. I feel bad for the waiter as he seemed to be running around a lot... short staffed maybe? We were patient as we were not in a rush, but i can see how this could annoy some people. Food was good, nothing outstanding. I guess it was the high expectations - maybe because it was a busy night, just feel like there wasn't as much effort put into the food. Conshy has a lot of nice restaurants and menu changes popping up - I hope Bar Lucca gets onto this and tries to exceed the competition. Overall, it is a place to try and has a very nice ambiance. Drink selections is also great. I will try again down the track to see if things improve. Fingers crossed!
A well managed restaurant . The staff was friendly and made a point of making you feel welcomed. The waitress was great. She knew the entrees and shared a lot of info to help you make the right selection. The food was excellent and showed a lot care in preparation as well as presentation.
A fun evening all around. My compliments to the management -
My family came to Bar Lucca to celebrate a birthday and we will be coming back! It was a bit louder than I expected but we still had a great time and the amazing food was worth sitting in a noisy restaurant - it was a Friday night though so I'm sure some nights might be quieter than others. The food was amazing! Our waiter was Kamerin and he was fantastic!
We were seated promptly. Our server, Elijah, was very attentive. He explained all the menu items we questioned and fully explained all the special additions. I asked his preference on the wines offered by the glass and I went with his recommendation. Good choice. The food was delicious. This was our first visit but it will not be our last.
Ate here for the first time for a late Sunday lunch. Started off with the blood orange mimosa which was plentiful and delicious. I really enjoyed my goat cheese & pear pizza and my dining partner raved about the special bread pudding with fried egg and spiced whipped cream!
We've eaten at Bar Lucca several times and although one time had a mediocre experience this time was spot on. The pizza was very good. The pasta was excellent. The only opportunity is they weren't flexible at all in changing an item on the pizza. We simply wanted a thin crust with nothing but prosciutto and were told they couldn't do it. Strange when making pizza from scratch but what we did order was very good.
The most salient thing about the restaurant was the noise. It was undoubtedly the noisiest restaurant I've ever been in. We were yelling at each other across the table and still couldn't hear much of what the other side said. We won't go back for that reason. The restaurant was packed, which was good, but that made the noise level intolerable. We were exhausted from yelling when we left. Some of our food was very good, and some was not. The scallops and parsnip puree were delicious. The spicy hot squash soup was good (when you didn't get too much of the chili oil) but overall too hot; the heat masked the flavor. The mushroom risotto had an odd, unidentifiable taste and was too chunky for me. The steak was chewy.
