   We went in April and again in June 2011. Both times were fantastic. The wait staff was very helpful in interpreting and explaining the menu. The drink list is vast and the menu is fun to read and explore. We each had an appetizer and an entree. Everyone thought the food was great.

   The food at Bar La Grassa did not disappoint. The noise is due to the fact that it seems as though they have taken every employees iPod music and merged them together. Seriously from Radiohead to Iron Maiden (yes, Iron Maiden). First time I was air drumming at a fine dining restaurant. Due to this our server couldn't hear us and kept walking away as I had questions, that was frustrating. Beware of overeating...you will want to get to desert. Next time we will probably just order a plate at a time. My suggestion for the restaurant would be to pick out a new playlist then perhaps people would complain less about the noise. I love Iron Maiden, but I know plenty of people who would cringe if they had to eat to it.

   Our dinner was all very delicious. However, we were seated 20 minutes past our reservation time with no apology issued. When we checked in after waiting quite some time, the hostess behaved as though we were bothering her. I understand that sometimes there will be delays, but I expect them to be handled better than this was.

   We are always happy to have the finest well executed meal that we remember from our previous visits. We love to take friends who have not yet been and enjoy the whole experience with them. Thank you for your consistancy with the food and the wait staff who are friendly and don't mind answering questions or double checking with the kitchen for a special request..

   Food and service were excellent. We appreciated options for half servings so we could try multiple dishes. Unfortunately the thunderous noise level undermined the tasty food and attentive service. My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and he left with his ears ringing and a nasty headache. We had to shout our sweet nothings to one another to be heard at our table for two. We would have ordered dessert, but we couldn't take the noise any longer.

   It was a wonderful experience. With the option of smaller or larger sized meals, my friends and I were able to share with different choices. The salted caramel crepe dessert was absolutely phenomenal!

   Our server was very unimpressive and overall made our experience a let down after all we've heard about the place. She was not friendly and did not ask us if we'd been there before, tell us about anything on the menu, and I ended up having to ask her about the best way to order as a couple... The food was good but not really impressive. The atmosphere was simple and elegant, but it was loud and the clientele seemed very pretentious.
