The wait staff did an excellent job of attending to our needs, and providing clarity on the menu and specials that were available.
The food was very good, and perfect for the occasion of a business lunch.
The ambiance was also very good, not too noisy for conversation.
Food was excellent! We had the elk and the filet, and both were wonderful
Would definitely eat here again
Awesome place with great atmosphere and food! The service is outstanding .
Great food, great service and great time. Will definetely go back.
We had a very unfortunate experience at Bambara's. We had reservations that clearly stated that we had one patron in a wheelchair so needed one of the low tables. After waiting 20 minutes past our reservation time we were shown to a booth. When we pointed out that a booth would not work for us we were told that was all that was available and we should take it or leave. Fortunately, other patrons were aware of the situation and one table of people offered to take the booth and give us their table. The hostess did not help them move their plates, glasses, silverware etc.
Service was terrible. We ordered coffee, tea, and diet coke to drink but were brought 3 cups of coffee. The toast was part of the order never did arrive.
This is a very unfriendly restaurant and I would recommend against it for anyone in a wheelchair.
Additionally, later in the day, I received a notice from open table that we had not kept our reservations which we clearly had.
Overall great experience! First time. There was a larger table that was very loud for the environment that probably could’ve been handled differently.
Will be back in the future 100%. Thank you for a great early Valentines dinner.
Food was excellent but corkage fee for bringing your own bottle was $25. That’s outrageous.
A great Anniversary dinner! Very attentive waiter and the food was exactly as we expected.
I work next to this wonderful establishment and typically rave about the food and service. My last experience was very different.
I ordered the famous flat iron cobb salad. The steak was delivered medium rare instead of medium. The server did not once ask how the meal was after the meal was served. As he prepared to clear the plate, I told him the steak (most of the steak still visible on the plate) was rare to medium rare.
He calmly told me he would inform the cook and then promptly cleared the plate without any further solutions. I have noticed a tremendous amount of turnover at Bambara recently. The days of familiar staff faces and VIP status are gone.
Oh, the good old days......
Utah is interesting, right? In more ways than one. A lot of places you go, order a cup of coffee and wait. The wait staff fails to understand that all you want is a cup of coffee. Now. Not later. Once I have my coffee, you can take your time. Well that did not happen at Bambara, at least for coffee anyway. It did happen with our wine. I probably should have ordered the nice bottle of Orrin Swift and had a glass before ordering dinner, but alas, I did not. I made the mistake of ordering wine and dinner at the same time. And guess what, they all arrived at the same time!!!! What a shame that we were not able to enjoy a glass of wine, each other's company, and relax a little before our food arrived. Food was good, a bit proud of themselves about pricing, overall a nice evening without having to leave the hotel.
Thank you for joining us! We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to SLC.
Great service with amazing eats. The elk loin was incredible.
Some of the best service in had. The food was all great.
Appetizers lacked a bit
But the meal and wine was the absolute best
Food cold and waitress was unfriendly
Amazing food, five stars for sure
The service was rushed and not timed at all. Entrées came out less than five minutes after the salads came out. The service was terrible.
Always a classy experience whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the cobb salad this go around, and it was delish!
Tempura green beans are magnificent!
The service was terrific!
My wife and I went to Bambara after a downtown meeting.
We both had the “power(s)” lunch. It was the fish tacos. Have to admit it was not the best. I guess I really can’t blame anything other than it was a taco. Too bad. The fish, a blackened trout was outstanding and the slaw was the perfect amount. The trout was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spices. There were two sauces that fit the seasoning.
So why not a five star rating? The taco. It was a little on the heavy side and it took away from the delicate fish. So it was simple. Eat the fish and slaw, enjoy the sauces, and leave the taco shells. Fortunately they gave three so enough for lunch without the taco.
Bambara is a great place for lunch, the service is impeccable, and we opted for the corn bisque. Oh don’t forget the cookies.
The elk was excellent, one of the best meals I've had in Salt Lake City. Food is pricey but absolutely worth it. Ambiance is nice but nothing special.
Friendly, efficient service and a great food! We will return for future business events.
We had high expectations since we had had previous wonderful experience at Bambara before. This time was quite different. We arrived for a Sunday brunch at 12 :15. It took literally 65 minutes part of the food to get to table. A salad and extra avocado was missing. It took another 15 min an multiple requests. The Pellegrino we ordered for the table never arrived. The food was very good. The service was terrible.
Food was good. Took awhile to get our order but they were busy. When we finally got our order (breakfast) they forgot our toast and it was a while before they saw us trying to flag them down. No follow up to see how are meal was.
We were visiting SLC and AS ALWAYS we have at least one meal at Bambara. This time we had the elk loin with corn risotto, baby kale and a blackberry jus. Excellent - perfectly cooked and seasoned. Servers are very knowledgeable... trust their recommendations!
Great meal and atmosphere
Ordered a medium rare filet and it came out medium well, the waiter was fantastic and promptly returned it but while we waited for a new filet my dining partners dish got cold.
Brunch items not as good as lunch. Cook didn’t know what soft scrambled eggs were. Closed the drapes and made the morning lovely light go away. Waiter said the light bothered him even after guests said they wanted the drapes open. Hot chocolate was mostly milk.
Best food I’ve had in Salt Lake City, highly recommend it!
Food and service were fantastic. It’s certainly a fine dining experience and I would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn’t mind paying a little extra for quality and service.
The food was too salty and the New Strip was cold
Great restaurant! We flew into town late and needed a light meal before sleeping in the hotel. The corn bisque was smoothly textured and superbly flavored, the wedge salad was just perfect, and the gnocchi tasted fantastic and was an appropriately sized portion. Very nice!
Food was fantastic, and Service was as well. Thank You!
Work Celebration. Great service! We had a lovely table for 7 in the back that allowed us space to visit and enjoy.
Love. This is my go to restaurant. Food is always good. Service timing is always perfect. Reasonable cost for always delicious food.
This was an excellent food experience. I had the elk loin which was cooked to perfection medium rare and came with yummy asparagus and a risotto. There was not a spec left on the plate. I then had the chocolate panna cotta. The flavour was great but the texture was grainy. I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised when they took the cost off the bill. Well done folks! I would certainly return. Service was polished/
Good food and service. Too pricey for overall product.
Great food and service. Had a number of small plates. A bit pricey, especially for the drinks and wine.
New Year’s Eve with friends. First time at Bambara. Really liked it.
