    Food and service were excellent, had the prosciutto beignets and whipped goat cheese for appetizers. Strip loin with frites and truffle aioli and lamb shank with speatzle and cabbage for mains. Mexican chocolate tart was a perfect desert.

    Food and service both excellent. My only disappointment with the evening was that my husband’s birthday was not acknowledged. I made it a point to note reservation and mentioned it at check in. At no time during the evening was there a Happy Birthday wish. I ordered desert and expected a Happy Birthday when delivered and again nothing. We were in town on vacation for a few days and this restaurant was highly recommended. Again, I would recommend this restaurant but not for a special occasion.

    Food was pretty good but definitely lacking in atmosphere. Hopefully upcoming renovation will fix that. Seemed like a restaurant without a solid identity. Service was great.

    Nice restaurant; however, not much of a selection for vegetarians and vegans. I had their red snapper, minus the pork, and it was delicious. Outside of the snapper and a salad, there were no other vegetarian/vegan options.

    I took my girlfriend out here for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We both shared the 12oz strip loin and it was amazing! Great atmosphere and a very nice server as well.

    The Manager who greeted us as we walked in was curt. As we approached the host desk he was on the phone. I smiled at him as I approached and was given a very dismissive finger to the face shushing me. That set the tone for the evening. The food was good as always but it took almost three hours to dine this evening. It was forty five minutes before our appetizer order was taken. The waiter seemed to lose track of all time and space and was slow to provide decent service. This is one of our favorite places to dine but tonight the service was abhorrent!

    Good service. No cocktail menu. Server said the restaurant was delayed getting their new cocktail menu printed because of a late menu paper delivery. Basic cocktails we ordered were mediocre. Little gem cesar salad nothing special about it. Beignet prosciutto appetizer good. Entrees we’re fantastic. Tenderloin with slow roasted kale and elk encrusted with coriander and fennel with crunchy mushrooms and sun chokes. Took way too long to get the entrees out.

    We celebrated the eve of our anniversary at Bambara and we had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, and our waiter was good-humored and on-top of our needs. We ordered their honey ice cream for dessert and he lit a candle in the ice cream for us to celebrate. Great ambiance, too! It was quiet enough that it felt intimate and the experience, individualized. We’ll keep coming back!

    I’m a cattleman’s daughter, and my filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium rare. The beet salad was innovative and a delightful combination of flavor and texture. My husband enjoyed the elk, perfectly seasoned and as promised by our waiter, not a bit gamey.

    The food was amazing! We ordered salmon and elk and they were delicious! Our server was very attentive and helpful! The only downside we had to wait for about an hour for our food to be served. Everything else was great!

    We came here for our 10-year anniversary based on a list that it was a good restaurant to celebrate a romantic evening, anniversary or special occasion at. I left in the special instructions that were were celebrating our 10-year anniversary here and I'd like to make it special. Flowers, flower petals, or a dessert that said happy anniversary is what I was expecting since those are the kinds of things we've had added at other restaurants. The servers were very nice, but they did absolutely nothing to accommodate a special evening. Didn't even wish us a happy anniversary. Did they even read the special instructions? Probably not. Will definitely be calling restaurants after this to see what they do and not rely on OpenTable to forward information on. The server started out saying there were no specials and they only had what was on the menu, which was a bit of a downer to start the night off with. Otherwise, the food was good, but not $200 good. We ordered the prosciutto beignets and salmon tartar to start. Both were very good. I got the elk and my husband the striploin for our entrees. My elk was perfect, but the fried mushrooms as a side were very heavy and very rich. I think roasted vegetables and a salad or quinoa would have been a better pairing. My husband's steak wasn't rendered or trimmed properly so about 1/3 was fat. We weren't impressed (except for the elk). The desserts were good. My husband ordered the banana crème brûlée with burnt cinnamon and the flavors were excellent. They were very skimpy on the sugar topping so it didn't have a nice break when digging in, but that was the only negative. I ordered the double chocolate Panna Cotta with graham cracker crumbs and a roasted marshmallow and it was also good. Overall, we won't be coming back. I can pay $200 at Current Fish and Oyster or La Caille and have them make it a special celebration like we've done with previous anniversaries, which is what we should have done to begin with. Lesson learned.

    The restaurant was smaller than expected but the food was absolutely incredible! Our waitress is very friendly, and have very good recommendations that we took up. Her service could’ve been a little more frequent but she was worth a good tip. Overall, we had an amazing experience.

    Food was mostly not good. 3 of 4 ordered red snapper and it was poorly done. Starving so they did consume. Some staff considerate including our waiter but others inattentive and rude. Not really interested in honest feedback. Waiter is the one who made the experience bearable. He was great. Probably won’t go out of our way to go there again anytime soon
