Great place, atmosphere and very sweet staff. The food was excellent. We were so lucky to get a table last minute.
We were greeted warmly by the hostess and well cared for during our meal. Always enjoy Bailey's.
What are delightful dining experience at Bailey’s backyard. The ambience is cozy and for a Saturday night, surprisingly on crowded and quiet; perhaps the rainy weather contributed to that. We started by sharing the Kung Pao brussels sprouts, truly one of the best concoctions of that particular vegetable I have ever encountered and a new dish, tempura broccoli. Both were good, but the brussels sprouts definitely win! In our party before, we tried for different main courses including shepherds pie (made with real shepherds :-), steak frites, Chiopino & s vegan 4 squash spaghetti… All were very good. We wrapped up with apple crisp, vegan Keylime pie, and a s’mores dish whose accompanying snifter of smoke was a very innovative touch. Recommend this restaurant without reservation!
Have been dining at Bailey’s for years, usually before a show at the Playhouse. My first return after several years due to Covid, with friends, was equally as pleasant as ever. The cuisine was delicious and imaginative, the atmosphere fun and funky, and the staff friendly. The food was a little slow in coming, but no complaints, as it gave me more time to chat with my friends. It did make us close to late for the show, however, so allow two hours as a minimum before show time just in case.
Great brunch selection. Food was delicious. Service was great.
Amazing service and drinks & food as always!!!
We arrived for lunch close to the kitchen closing down. We were accommodated without a problem. Our server and the manager made us welcome. Never felt rushed.
The food was delicious. Try the chicken and waffles.
Great, friendly, wonderful staff; still a place to eat outdoors if you don't want to eat indoors. Always fun!
Always an enjoyable experience at Bailey’s backyard. We had a great bottle of wine, and two excellent entrées during our very relaxing Sunday afternoon brunch.
I had the Grilled brisket sandwich. Loved that the brisket was shredded. Nice multigrain bread with grill lines. My wife had the grilled salmon sandwich. For someone who is not a big sandwich person she truly enjoyed it. The skinny fries were great…we shared (but I would have eaten them all)
Topped off Brunch with two cappuccinos and an excellent bread pudding that was laid on top of a flavored cream cheese base.
Four of us had Sunday brunch here and this was delightfully not your standard brunch menu, many innovative items. It is truly farm to table and flavors are fresh and delicious. Service was as delightful as the meal. We will be back!
There was so many great choices on the menu. We went with the duck and pork chop. Both were delicious!
Amazing food, very friendly staff, perfect dinner experience in CT.
We enjoyed our dinner and the ambiance. Very friendly staff, I have been a regular over the years and I am never disappointed
Delicious food in an intimate setting
Our wait staff was excellent! Friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Salmon blt is delicious. Highly recommend
Great staff, delicious food. Would definitely want to return.
I had asked for indoors. They had no table snd put us in outdoor “heated” tent. It was about 55 degrees. Uncomfortable
First time visit. It was recommended by a friend who lived in Ridgefield a few years ago & its a favorite. It was much more casual inside than I had thought it would be.
Limited menu but I have a dental issue so not much to chose from. I enjoyed my meal but I felt it was a bit pricey for the overall experience. Perhaps give it another try in the summer when you can sit outdoors.
Overpriced and food was mediocre.
Very pleasant experience. Excellent service & food. Our go to restaurant when attending a show @ The Playhouse.
Had a lovely lunch at Bailey's Backyard this past weekend. We sat at an outdoor table. Very nice menu to choose from. I had the Blackened Salmon BLT and I chose to have a side salad instead of the fries. I enjoyed it very much - especially the salad which featured local produce. My husband had a delicious looking burger with fries. Service was good. All on all would definitely recommend.
Delicious food and excellent service. Mary, the hostess, couldn’t have been nicer! Will certainly make the trip to Ridgefield again.
We had a lovely Sunday brunch, after running the Ridgefield Half Marathon. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient and were very accommodating with our young daughter. The food was delicious. I would definitely return.
I do feel that customers should know that the staff don’t wear masks. We sat outside and wore our masks to go in to use the restroom, so we felt okay.
This was my first time at Bailey's Backyard and I'm not sure if we will return. The food was excellent - it was the reason we were there. However, the service was TERRIBLE. We were ignored for bigger parties. Our dinner came out at separate times, two of us had finished by the time the third one arrived. It was very awkward. Three servers gave us different reasons as to what the delay was. It took over 30 min to get our coffee at the end, and we ended up cancelling it. We were not appropriately compensated for our experience. Think twice before you plunk all that money down on one meal.
Unique healthy delicious meal. I had the squash pasta with coconut cream sauce that was outstanding. The kale salad was the best I have ever tasted. And to top it off, the vegan key lime tort was out of this world. The service was excellent. A bit pricey. Highly recommend.
Eficient and pleasant
Excellent food, service, location and environment. Highly recommend!
Terrible food and mediocre service
Food was good but the pricing was a little steep. Drinks were expensive too.
Friendly staff, good service, excellent food. Nice ambience
We went to brunch at Bailey's with friends. It was there first time there. They absolutely loved the food, the sangria, the staff. The staff were accommodating and were very helpful in recommendations for food/drink combinations. Our food presentation was beautiful almost to pretty to eat! Highly recommend.
Always fresh, amazing food and warm, hospitable service.
Well, order not taken correctly, sitting in front of an HVAC vent even though we were outside didn’t work.
Sorry, I will cook at home rather than this. Will not come here again. Also they couldn’t even find our OpenTable reservation. So, overall a lousy place with mediocre food. Nothing I could say “Farm to table” as they advertise.
Excellent food. Short Ribs were moist and lean. Clam and corn chowder was perfect. Friendly and polished servers. A truly fabulous evening.
food was good - nut way too many bees. And, how in the world can you charge $12 for a bottle of sparkling water??
We had a free drinks while we were waiting to be seated. So, it is a plus . However, the servants were slow because the restaurant was very busy. We waited to be served quit long.
I hope they will improve it.
Staff disappeared when we needed the check. Ran our card on the wrong check, took several tries to get it right. They were apologetic but it took over half an hour to leave and we had a concert to get to.
We have dined here many times. The service is excellent and the food good but we noticed that the portions in the appetizers have Shrunk significantly since the Fall. I guess restaurants are trying to make it in a difficult climate but you can’t cut the portion back by 50% appetizers all under $20 but all mains in the high $30’s
You can't beat the food. Not only is the food local and fresh, the tastes as special. They have plenty of outside dining including open air and under a large tent. But the best part is the service. Everyone is so friendly. One of our favorite spots in Ridgefield ... always a go to for special occasion or to bring out of town guests.
