   I requested a table outside was told it was not available and then several tables remained unoccupied outside . We were in a room with several babies , strollers being used to calm children etc . Our waiter was exceptional and the food was good despite

   Celebrated a 40th birthday. Our server Jay, knew the menu well and was great. All of our dishes were great but our favorites were the lobster fettuccini, hogfish, ahi tuna, caviar, mussels in the cream sauce, and the burrata.

   Everything was perfect. I only have one negative comment. The restaurant charges you a credit card fee if you don’t pay cash. In my case it was over $6. Now who carries this much cash for a large restaurant bill. And a classy place like this should just absorb this as a business expense. I would recommend eating here.

   Cucumber Cooler best drink in Key West. Upstairs porch was excellent spot.

   The service and ambiance were good. It’s in a nice location. However, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the hog fish and it was dry and VERY salty. I tried to eat it, but at $43 for the entree, I eventually sent it back. They gave me a new one which was much less salty(sauce on the side this time), but still pretty dry. My husband ordered the tuna which tasted very salty to me, but he ate it. The service was good though. I’m not sure the quality of the food is worth the price. Disappointing.

   Having eaten there many times. I must say it was not as good as usual. The service was very slow. We ordered their steak and was so salty it was very hard to eat. I don’t know if we will return there again

   Great food and the best service. Burratta salad was the best salad I’ve ever had! Also loved the banana foster brownie- YUM

   Delicious food and great service in a pretty older building. We ate upstairs, which was maybe a bit quieter than downstairs. The burrata salad has a couple of touches that distinguish it from most. First, it included a few sliced, soft peaches. Second, it came with prosciutto. Great ideas! I had the seared tuna which was also very nicely done. Many places here claim to have the best key lime pie, but this one wins our vote.

    Up five stairs to the entrance with help-stairs are difficult due to myopathy. We tell a woman we have a reservation—she turns to take us upstairs. I tell her I can’t do stairs as I now see in addition to main floor tables, there are also about 20 stairs to an upper level. She acts like there were no other options and said we could come back some other time. I said we wouldn’t be back, we have plans for other nights. We ask her about other seating. She said the open table near her was for four (yet later she seats two people there!). I ask about the bar—luckily there were two seats. She follows us over and began schooling me how to make a reservation! She offended me by looking down her nose at me and trying to tell me I did it wrong. If there was a choice, main level or upstairs, I would have picked main level. There was no such option. I went back to OpenTable and a choice of bar or standard came up once and other times, there was no choice. I could have written a special request, it is on me I didn’t think of it—I didn’t know the setup. We sit at the bar, the bartender ignores us. When he finally comes over, we ask him to clean the dried on dark spills. He comes back later and sprays a cleaning solution which sprays over us too. This also happened to the people who sat next to us. It took awhile to get our drinks and to place our order. He seemed more concerned with the group/friends? at the end of the bar and in cleaning up glasses. The restaurant did have good food. It was hot and prepared correctly. The swordfish was too blackened for my taste, we should have asked for lightly blackened so you taste the fish. I would never recommend this restaurant because we were treated so poorly. I felt the host was arrogant. The bartender made me feel invisible. Your front of house needs to learn how to provide attentive, kind, gracious service. We didn’t demand, shout or were rude. I was so taken aback but the host’s behavior, I was too shocked to even protest.
