Food was mediocre. Crab and avocado parfait was good. Salmon entree was pretry good as well. The vegetable sides that accompanied the main were inedible.
The service threw us off the most. The server decided we were not important enough or something. Would not come near our table until we caught his attention. Would not refill water. Asked us to input our own subtotal in the Debit machine (a first for us). So I don't think we will be headed there anytime soon.
The food was good, however, when asked a question about the food, our server was obviously uncertain of the answer, and guessed at it. I later asked another server, explaining that we didn't think our server knew the correct answer, and she simply directed us to our server again.
Our server then asked the chef(?) and clarified for us.
Recommendation: servers be encouraged to acknowledge that they may not know the answer, but indicate that they are happy to find out for us in a timely manner. If a server for another table is asked for something, they should also display an eagerness to tend to the situation.
My husband and I came for Winterlicious. The food was amazing. We enjoyed every morsel. We are from Oshawa and do not get out for meals in Toronto very often, but we would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends.
Food was good, attention to detail apparent, staff friendly and polite as well as obviously prepared, nothing too unique but still very good and traditional food
The dessert was awesome. We were there for winterlicious and I love the menu comes with lots of veggies and fruits on each dish. It was a well balanced with the taste and at the same time you feel healthy with great taste. The French fries were nice and hot from the kitchen!
OK food - it was cold. Good ambiance and service. Wouldn't go back.
Bad food and service.
Valet Parking is covered though.
amazinggggggg omg loved it the food was amazing and i had a great time and the servers were so sweet, especially Ahmed he was so polite and kind
We had pretty low expectations, but for the price this Christmas dinner failed to meet even our low bar. It's a fixed menu, so it shouldn't be too hard to keep tabs on what should be served and when. But we had to ask for bread (on the menu) and had to turn away our Entree because they brought it before we'd received the salad. If we'd wanted to be done our "special" Christmas dinner in 40 minutes this place would have been perfect, but (being European) I prefer to linger over my meal and don't appreciate the assembly line approach to dining. We were treated like a number. Processed quickly, one more table to close, and ... done. Since we were paying $200 a head (with wine and cocktails) for our meal I would have appreciated a more personal touch.
The food was fine. Not fine dining by any means, but acceptable. But the experience fell short in pretty much every other department. Not an experience we would care to repeat.
Christmas dinner could have been any night though apart from the cracker on the table
Celebrating my bday!!! Lovely staff, quiet clean atmosphere. Valet Parking as well. 5 stars
Although the ambiance was good, the prices are shocking high.
I had a $12 bowl of soup which I think was overpriced.
Nice staff big tv screen and most of all close to the TSO
A great family lunch. Food is really subtle and desserts are amazing
OK....but. No feel of classiness. TV's and sports watching on the scene, but that's distracting if you're not into it.
What a Wonderful experience. The staff are both professional and personable. The food, wine and atmosphere is brilliant!
I went for the Thanksgiving Day special, and I really enjoyed the meal.
I wish the special came with an appetizer and a desert , because the other options on the menu didn't really fit with the theme. Also, they weren't half as good as the dinner itself. My appetizer was the veal croquettes, which were okay. For my dessert, I had the apple cheesecake, which was equally as mediocre.
These service and ambiance were wonderful. All the staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The ambiance was very warm and the noise level was very low, making it ideal for a comfortable dinner.
I liked my experience at Azure, and I felt that I paid more for that than the actual meal itself. I'm not a hardcore foodie and I never had a chance to try a lot of their regular menu, but I can vouch for the ambiance of this place.
Waiter didn't seem to want to like his job
My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner. It wasn't busy which was perfect because we felt like we rented out the restaurant. Lol
I had visited the Azure restaurant at The InterContinental Toronto along with my partner, for a nice meal to finish off her birthday. We found the place to be elegant and clean, yet not overly formal; I wouldn't feel overdressed in a suit, nor underdressed in jeans. The food was of a high standard - 3 courses each along with a gin and tonic, and a glass of house red came to $160CAD, which for an upmarket destination like this, was pleasantly inexpensive. We'd both started with a duck salad, followed by chicken supreme, and she finished with a strawberry tart, and I with the cherry panna cotta. The service was friendly yet professional, and all our needs were seen to. All in all, it was a good meal, and somewhere I'd recommend. I know for some $160 may seem very steep, but for a special occasion, it's a lovely treat.
