My friend and I really enjoyed our outside dining experience at Atzitra. The wait staff is excellent and the waiter's recommendations were perfect. The food was delicious. We hadn't seen each other for 1.5 years due to the pandemic so we talked, ate, and talked some more for 2.5hrs. None of the staff made us feel uncomfortable for staying so long!
The food was amazing. We took another couple who had never been and they LOVED Azitra just like we do. The food is so delicious and the service was fantastic.
Lamb kebabs could be used as hockey pucks, the chicken curry - lost for words. Kulfi (indian icecream) was the chef trying too hard to please an audience that would be better served using authentic recipes!
Great service though.
Delicious food nice atmosphere
First time at this restaurant and it was very good. The food was prepared well and good portions. Will be returning!
Tables are placed to close to each other. I felt rush by the 1st server a had.
We had a great night out with friends trying new to us cuisine
We loved it, incredible food and ambiance throughout. Thank you!
I had gone to Azitra probably more than ten years ago and never really liked their Indian food compared to others in the area. A friend convinced me to try them again. I have now gone two times in the past month and have a totally different opinion of them. Their menu has a lot of different items you cannot get at other Indian restaurants. I tried one chicken dish one night and a lamb one the next. Both were very good! I don't know if they have a different owner now or chef than they used too, but if you haven't eaten dinner there in a long time, you should try them now.
We've lived in the Brier Creek area for many years and this was our first time to try this place out. It wasn't a special occasion just a date night. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but we were impressed with the ambiance on the inside. Very nice and they had nice soothing music playing in the background. We were seated very quickly and had water in our glasses shortly thereafter. Raj was our waiter and did a great job recommending food choices. I got a 3 course special which included an appetizer, entrée and desert for $33, it was a perfect choice. I was hoping for a little more spice in my food, but there was nothing wrong with the taste and the food came out hot and fresh. We will definitely visit again.
Excellent food and service from Raj!
We went for restaurant week. Food was great and service excellent. Will definitely go back
Delicious food outside in a lively patio
Wonderful meal and service. Very nice for a quiet meal out with friends.
Raj, our server, was so knowledgeable, friendly and provided a great experience! The food was excellent. It was a bit cold so pack your sweater!
OUTSTANDING! The best Indian we have had in recent memory. I became a vegetarian at the beginning of this year, and Azitra is a vegetarian dining paradise! The naan, the sauces, the preparation were all top-rate. If we are having Indian food in Raleigh, we are going to Azitra. Note: dress at least for business casual. The atmosphere is elegant, but not stuffy, so treat it like a dining occasion. It makes the experience even more pleasant.
Raj was incredible. Food outstanding.
Our waiter, Raj, met us and took us to our table, he was quite the server. Raj answered several questions from our group and made suggestions that were all spot on. Raj knows the food and made all of us feel like valued customers. The food was excellent, I am really glad Raj made the suggestions he did as they fit in perfectly with our group, it's like he read us and knew where to steer us. Several of us were first time customers to Azitra and we were impressed! The food was all high quality and the tastes were superb. We all definitely look forward to our next trip to Azitra.
The food was delicious and the outdoor patio was lovely!
The food was fine, though not as good as it has been previously or for what I expect at that price. The restaurant remains beautiful, the service was good, and our group enjoyed our time together. We also appreciated the Covid-related safety standards.
Never fails to satisfy. If you’re unsure of flavor intensity, just ask. They are more than happy to help and accommodate to your taste.
Absolutely wonderful service and the food was outstanding.
We moved here recently from the SF Bay Area and are Indian food junkies! I would say this is the best Indian food we have had since moving here. But we still didn't think it was exceptional. Maybe we are just used to a different way of making Indian food? Two of us had the perennial favorite: chicken tikka masala. Both thought it was a tad bland. Missing something. My husband was bummed they didn't have aloo gobi, which is usually a staple at any Indian place. But we all agreed their garlic naan was amazing! And the vegetarian menu was quite large with some interesting offerings. The meat eaters in our group noticed some interesting dishes new to them. All-in-all, we look forward to coming back and trying different things! We just didn't think it was nearly as good as the hype for the items we had. Service was great!
We requested outdoor when making our online reservation and were immediately and satisfactory seated on our arrival. A favorite appetizer of ours didn’t appear on the menu but was provided upon our request. There was no draft beer available due to some technical issues but a good craft beer selection was available and came cold. Our main course selections of Chicken Madras and Seafood Curry were delicious and just right portion size. We complimented with Basmati Rice and Naan (plain) Bread. There was a single imperfection. The dish the seafood curry came in had was broke/chipped on its edge. It unsettled my wife who is a gracious germaphobe so we didn’t draw attention or complain. A small set back. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. We look forward to returning.
The food and Service were excellent. This is the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited. They also had a very extensive bar with excellent drinks. This is my new favorite Indian restaurant.
Everything was excellent!
Food was good along with service. Samosa's are a great app and the Eggplant dish was very good. Octopus so so--not as tender as I would like. Overall, a good dinner and all participants were happy!
Ok so it give it 2 stars and not 1 because it’s Mother’s Day and I understand they’re busy and most likely not used to the volume being that we’re in a pandemic. BUT, we waited for our food for over an hour without even bread and so we asked for our appetizers and finally that came out. Once we got our entrees, about an hour and 45 minutes later, my husbands lamb was cold. My mother in law also had to wait longer than 20 minutes for a refill on her wine and we all also had to wait for refills about 15 minutes. My mouth was scorching hot from my entree when I asked for medium spice- which I suppose is a subjective term, but nonetheless, not fun waiting 15 minutes for a Shirley temple refill when your mouth is on fire. Food was mediocre but the outside patio was beautiful. Assistant manager was very hostile and seemed to carry a chip on his shoulder serving us from the very start. He sharply told my husband that he was jumping all over the menu trying to decide on an entree. GM told me the wine refill and lamb would be deducted from the bill, and guess what? It was not. Paying $300 for mediocre food with horrible service was not fun to say the least. I am just grateful I got to spend my Mother’s Day with my family. But, we will not be returning. Try Zaykas! Much much better service and food!
Awesome food, service and ambiance .. Can not wait to go back ?
The food is excellent as is the service. Both indoor and outdoor dining are lovely and roomy. It's a little expensive for Indian food, but is very good quality. Definitely a great place to get a really good Indian meal!
Great variety of Indian cuisine. Good food and natural drink.
The dining experience was excellent from beginning to end! The service was attentive and menu knowledge was sufficient. The food and drinks were great, also. I would recommend to not call out the entrees when they arrive and rather write down which entree goes to which seat.
Always a great meal. Staff are fantastic.
Great service, great food, awesome vibes outside with the fire pit table.
The food is amazing and most of the employees look happy to be working there.
Great food and service during a recent business lunch with my colleague. Thanks- will definitely return as soon as possible!
This was some of the best Indian themed food I’ve ever had. The scallops are huge and tastefully prepared. WOW!!
Food, drinks and service were superb!
