It took 15 minutes for our waitress to come and introduce herself. We started with appetizers. I ordered a soup and my wife ordered stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were ice cold. We had to send them back. All they did was heat them up and brought the same mushrooms out again. Both my wife and I ordered asparagus with our meals, because the waitress told us it was that or broccoli for a side. She came back 20 minutes later and told us they were out of it and we had to have broccoli. We waited over an hour for our actual entrees. We knew they were short staffed, but a 6 top came in half an hour after us and had their entire meal before ours came out. Another group of three came in and was seated behind me. After 20 minutes, the waitress never came to them, and they ended up leaving. When our meals actually came out, my wife’s steak was bland and unseasoned. I ordered the “famous” brisket. I wouldn’t know what the brisket tasted like because it was saturated with fat and doused with barbecue sauce (and that’s how it was served). My broccoli and French Fries were also doused in barbecue sauce, and mushy. I asked for a veteran’s discount, in which the waitress very sternly told me “No!”. We were very obvious with our dissatisfaction, but she didn’t care. While I still tipped based on our bill, it wasn’t deserved. It’s sad when the entire time I was there, I felt that Gordon Ramsey would have his work cut out for him. The only good part of the whole experience, was my wife’s spiked lemonade. I won’t be back.
Very slow service to get main meal , need more help in kitchen, ribs over done , otherwise food good, took to long to get food to eat
Server was a bit snarky. Poor communicator but we went with the flow and tipped out 20%+ in hopes his mood improved!
Took over 1 hour to get food
the crab cake appetizer we shared - while tasty - was not the lump crab I was expecting for the price point charged - it was rather a crab "mash" that, again, was good but I would not pay what they charge again for that sort of crab cake vs one that offers less filler and more jumbo lump crab meat
My friend and I ordered appetizer, 5 minutes we were told they didn't have anymore. We ordered our meal and we were told asparagus was the veggie of the day so we ordered that only to be told 2 minutes before our meal came that they were out. I ordered my steak medium and it came out darn near raw. I finished cooking it when I got home. My first, and last time visiting.
Great as usual. Excellent service
Waitress was not very cheerful though the food was great.
Favorite in the area for its great smokehouse bbq, especially the weekend lightly smoked prime rib. Go early as they may run out. Even if they do, the wood grilled steaks are a great choice also. Always attentive service and friendly. Bar is well stocked with wines and draft handles. We’ve never been disappointed.
Had the special "Chilean Sea Bass", it was EXCELLENT!!! Great Service, a great dining experience all around!
We have been here many times before and always left more than satisfied with our meals and service, not this time! Our server was more attentive to the other tables in her section and seemed bothered by us when we needed something (drinks, apps, ordering a meal) and we were in between 2 booths who arrived after us and were provided prompt service. In the past the crab cakes have been wonderful, this time they tasted like they came out of a freezer and had so much breading it was hard to find the crab. We asked for bread and were told because of covid there was no bread (ok 🤷🏼♀️) our food arrived cold and we just ate it so we could leave. Once our plate was cleared we waited another 25 minutes for the bill while our waitress continued to walk by us and serve the tables around us, bringing them dessert and drinks while we waited to pay. Not sure if it was an off night but I’m not sure I will be going back anytime soon, shame because it has been so good in the past.
It was awesome!
Wonderful as always. Austin’s knows their steak and know it well.
We haven’t been to Austin’s since the lock down started but decided to venture out. Both of us had the ribs which were fall off the bone delicious. Sides (you get 2) we’re also very good. One disappointment was the bar area was full and no one was distanced. No separation of bar stools at all and every seat was occupied. Dining area was fine with additional plexiglass partitions hung between booths.
Appetizers were awesome! Crab cakes were very good! Soup was really good! Next time, we'll have to try desserts.
My visit was on Valentine's day and it was very busy. The wait time for food was longer than usual, but they did apologize. Only one small hiccup when our food arrived, our second side was missing, but the hostess ran in the kitchen and retrieved it for us. Food and drinks were very delicious.
We got seated by the door, the coldest seat in the entire place. The food was under seasoned, our server took forever to take our order and then charged another tables check on my card. Not a fan of this place.
The service and food was great a friendly atmosphere
Was very good
everything was great. the brussel sprouts were AMAZING!!
Very nice atmosphere The food was terrific! Service was very good. Good experience.
We have been going to Austin's for many years and we are never disappointed. The food is always great and the service is friendly and prompt.
Perfect dining experience. Good food and perfect service
The food was not warm when received. Sent it back and still not better. Got French onion soup in there was a pound too much cheese in it. The asparagus was like burnt toothpicks inedible. Will never return. Bye-bye Austins
Austin's never disappoints.food Food always excellent. Miss the corn muffins since the pandemic. Prime rib always a hit.
Love Austin’s!! The food, service and ambiance were wonderful!!
Awesome dinners for the three of us! Excellent service!
Dined on 2/28/21
The service does not match food. Our server was rude! I asked about happy hour when we came in and she said it was only at the bar. This would be fine except at the website states nothing about this and we were sitting in a booth right next to the bar. There was a table also sitting near us who had to get a different server As their server according to them did not want to serve them. What made me write this review however was at the end of the meal or check came in was charge $16.98 for my meal. I ordered a grouper sandwich for 1399 the menu stated that it came with fries or one side. It also stated that if you ordered a side salad it was 199 up charge. The way it reads to most people who are literate is that you choose a side instead of fries for no up charge, however if you choose a side salad there would be an up charge. I chose a baked potato with ordering. The service said nothing to me about any of charges when I ordered. When I Reviewed the menu, the hostess who is very polite stated that she would let them know. She Came back to let me know that it was because I had chosen the big potato. And then referred back to the menu to let her know that it’s at fries or one side. They did fix the bill but our server came out rudely and said to me just so you know next time it was going to pick it up charge in a matter of fact tone. I let her know that I was just reading the menu and she told me that she wasn’t going to argue with me in an argumentative tone and said well we took it off for you. I would just say this to wrap it up we are in the middle of a pandemic in my opinion restaurants are not necessarily thriving. As a patron, we need to support our local restaurants. as a restaurant employee who works for tips and represents restaurants who need business should watch the way that they speak to patrons especially in times like these. We will not be returning to this restaurant even the food was good. Nobody should pay money to be chastised!
Great place to eat fast service
Great local restaurant! Good food, cozy atmosphere.
Great service and good food!
My birthday dinner with the kids
The food was delicious! We were there to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed it all very much.
Austin's never fails to deliver quality food at a moderate. The prime rib is excellent, tender, smoky flavor. Best ever. You can't go wrong with any selection. But we miss the corn muffins that went away during this pandemic. Please bring them back.
Food wasn’t up to their usual standard. N.Y. Strip was thinner than usual, and overlooked. Service by Henry was excellent.
Always a great experience. Food is amazing.
Very good filet mignon I went there for a 30th anniversary. Our waitress was awesome what are some complementary cheesecake at the end for us to eat.
The restaurant is perfect for a nice outing or date, cute bar area and food was pretty good.
