We have been here for brunch several times and this is the first time that the food was not quite up to par. The fresh fruit is a highlight for us and this time the melons were tasteless and the berries were already way past their prime. The English muffin was also toasted a bit too much and was almost inedible.
Our server Robert was amazing! We love going for breakfast and their food is always delicious! The staff is so kind and the atmosphere is relaxing! Our favorite brunch spot.
Brought parents here for a nice evening out. Fabulous food, very elegant. Loved everything about it.
Wonderful ambience, service and quality of food!
Very scenic, nice atmosphere. Our server was excellent, very attentive. Food was great!
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Food and service are always excellent and your surroundings are relaxing.
outstanding services; Robert and the team were stellar. Genuinely provided personal attention for our date.
Don’t go if you are in a hurry. Even with the dining room empty it can take up to 25 minutes after you order. Love the atmosphere and it’s a quiet refuge from crowded Third Street. On the pricey side, with one cocktail, lunch entree and tip, $30-40 per person.
Great lunch at Atwater's! Delicious food and wonderful service.
The restaurant is a destination spot. The food is creative and prepared to perfection with a notable wine list to match! Service was top notch and ambiance is nice. I highly recommend!
Asked for seating by the fireplace in my reservation and they evidently didn’t read
One of our favorite places for special occasion lunches. The food if always great and the drinks and wine list is wonderful too. Great service.
Place is wonderful! Went here for our anniversary and couldn’t picked better place. Great service and food was wonderful, I had salmon with mushroom risotto, perfect combo and my husband had the filet mignon, it was perfectly cooked! Plus we got the soup of the day which was also excellent and some cocktails. I highly recommend it.
It was our first time dining at Atwater’s and it won’t be the last. The food, service, staff, and ambiance were exceptional. Rene took great care of us during our time there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When we were seated, we saw they had a card on the table that the staff signed which made our experience personal and all the more memorable. The chef offered guests an amuse bouche that really set the tone for the rest of the meal. We ordered the calamari appetizer special and it was delicious. The calamari were fried to perfection. My husband ordered the Delmonico steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The fat was rendered on the steak and the ribeye was moist and tender. I ordered the fennel dusted pork tenderloin and mine was also cooked correctly to a beautiful light pink in the center. The dessert was delicious as well...we shared a crepe brûlée. To cap the evening, they gave us complimentary white chocolate covered strawberries. The ambiance was perfect as well. We were seated in the atrium overlooking the Fox River. Overall, I’d say this is one of the best dining experiences we have had and I look forward to coming back perhaps in the summer so we can sit outside and enjoy great food.
The food is always amazing, although the menu items are limited, they do offer seasonal or unique specials.
From their signature cocktails, dinner selections, wine list, and dessert you will enjoy each course. First rate service, quiet and romantic setting, all lead to pleasant experience.
Our favorite local restaurant by choice for breakfast. Service and a level of professionalism was lacking; missing an element. Food, ambience was fantastic
I loved Atwater’s! I took my mom here for her birthday and we were the only ones there. Our server, Suzanne was attentive and very friendly! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very relaxing! Overall, I loved it, would recommend it, and can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and food, will definitely go there again.
Our compliments to the chef. Food was terrific. Ambience and decor was intimate. Thanks for a great evening!
Our compliments to the chef. Everything was perfect. Thank you.
Love this place. Exceptional breakfast and service
We can't wait to go back! The staff and food were amazing.
A lovely view and amazing meal!
A great dining experience. Perfect for an intimate dinner.
The ambiance is very comfortable and cozy. It was not very busy so nice and quiet. The menu speaks fine dining but the service seemed casual. The dish I was excited to try was not available. Instead I ordered the salmon which was served with plain rice zucchini. For $34, it was not a good value.
Atwater's provided quite excellent food; excellent service; a very good lunch menu; very good ambience; and a reasonable price for all.
We have eaten at Atwater's a few times and the food continues to improve. We highly recommend it.
We love going here just the two of us or with our friends, it feels like we are on a vacation with the beautiful decor, I tell many people about this wonderful place and several are going now also, it is relaxing and always friendly.
My steak had a black cherry glaze, which was not my favorite on a steak, but it was ok......everything else delicious.....very relaxing.
Amazing. I felt safe and the food, atmosphere was incredible
At the top of our list of favorite restaurants - Executive Chef Kevin Gillespie and his team are fantastic and we've never had a course we did not fully enjoy. Chef Kevin always adds a few extra bites to try along the way and did not disappoint with the blue cheese and balsamic strawberry at the start and the cream puff at the end. This visit, we both ordered Crab Cakes, Butternut Squash Soup, Red Snapper & Creme Brulee & enjoyed a bottle of Ridge Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014. Perfect way to spend our 20th anniversary!
Excellent, as always! Great ambiance , service, and food.
My husband and I enjoyed a beautiful Valentine’s Day lunch date on a 6° snowy day. It was perfect in every way. Every table has a beautiful view - very cozy and inviting. The food is impeccably presented and delicious and the service is very attentive.
Very intimate and cozy. Food is always spectacular and the service top notch. They never disappoint!
Great venue, and service was pretty good, food left something to be desired, why do goat cheese and berry emulsion on a prime filet? Crab cakes weak, salads sounded good but looked like I cut the lettuce. I was hoping for the American club 3 hours closer to home. I think if they didn’t try to do so much on any given plate, we’d be regulars
Made my anniversary special!
Food and service were awesome on a cold snowy night
Great job
Always a great meal and service from Val!
Everything about this restaurant was absolutely divine! The food was delicious I have to said everything was perfect..
All the Staff have servants hearts. Cozy fireplace seating with a view of the water. Fantastic breakfast and what an atmosphere. Robert was a pleasure to have as our wait staff. We will be back
Fantastic place, fantastic meal.
Great intimate place that was a good place to go during the pandemic. Tables were spaced well, and service was respectful with distance. Food is soooo good here!
