I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy the food :) had not expected to eat with my fingers so be prepared to do so since they do not provideone with a hot towel or "wipes" beforehand ... Thankfully, I always carry "wipes"

Excellent food provide by a friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant is very noisy and not particularly comfortable. Reservations seem to be a problem and there seems to be wait on most nights whether you were able to secure a valid reservation or not. (Note that
Assab is having trouble with Open Table reservations. We made such a reservation that the restaurant claimed they were no longer accepting. This required us to wait about 45 minutes for a table.
