Beautiful setting - especially the outdoor patio. Wine steward very knowledgeable and helpful. But the quality of the food doesn't match the price. The Asian lobster buns were just ok. The escargot fritters a horrible misstep -- doughy, leaden, over-fried. Steaks were cooked nicely - but homemade steak sauce is a ham-handed version of a BBQ sauce that overwhelms the steaks. Accompanying salad was sour and salty, delicate greens drowned in dressing. Olanthe corn side dish tasted only of mushrooms, not of corn. Grilled summer squash were better. Both cost $10. I don't mind paying $300 for a dinner for two, but when I do, I expect everything to be top notch. It wasn't here.

The bacon was delicious and had a great presentation. Entrees were both good (Salmon and the Ravioli). However, we ordered one side to go with the meal and it wasn't delivered until we were almost done with the meal. Overall, I would go again but only for a special occasion.

Overall, not fantastic. Menu was a bit odd- all over the play. Aged beef was too much like jerky. Fish over salted. I went there with friends hoping to have a fab meal. The server was very nice which was the best part of the experience.

Our family absolutely loved Aspen Kitchen. The food was amazing and it was so nice to sit outside and see the mountains. My only comment would be ito add more candle light. It was dark and we wanted to see more of our delicious food

Our food was ok. Service was not so good. I think our waiter never opened bottle of wine before. I am not very picky customer, but presenting wine to the customer is a must. Just train your staff on wine service and food knowledge.

Delightful experience with very savvy service. We were lucky to have great weather for the rooftop dining, with carefully placed umbrellas , as the wind kicked up. The beet salad with local fresh cheese and quinoa was impressive in the textures and doneness of the baby beets. The 9 oz tenderloin was perfectly done -crisp outside and juicy all through. The local bass with chimi sauce was crisp and the eggplant was tender and flavorful with a tangy sauce. Sides of chick pea fries a bit heavy , but the carrots and zucchini beautifully done , and tender. Desserts were also freshly prepared and sorbet was satisfying. Fun vibe, and we will return soon!

There is something for everyone, with good steaks, fish, vegetable dishes, salads and sides. The chickpea fries and the appetizer of thick-cut bacon are worth a visit all by themselves. The space is big, yet it doesn’t feel that way. Awesome bar service. Outdoor seating above the street is terrific if weather is right. This one is a keeper—. It is the only place we visited twice in the 7 nights we were there.

This restaurant will not be in existence by ski season. At 6:30 they were out of multiple dishes. The food is fine, not great. We will never go back.

We had a fabulous experience at Aspen Kitchen!! Every interaction... from the host to the bartenders to the chefs and busboys... was exceptional. The menu was fun, creative and yummy. Our server from Montana was delightful and professional and handled my husband’s dry humor with grace. We loved sitting outside and sharing the beautiful view of Aspen Mountain with our guests from out of town. Thx Aspen Kitchen! We’ll be back !!

Ate on the patio and had a really nice experience. Service (food) was slow but the wait staff made us feel loved and not forgotten. Pricey just like most in Aspen, but the portions are decent and the food is tasty. Great tuna poke bowl and delicious soup!! Baked potatoes are huge!

Appetizer was delivered, two minutes later our steaks were also brought out. Both filets should have been rare. One was, the other was well. After bringing this up no action was taken. Don't bother to go. The atmosphere is far more optimistic than the kitchen is about service.

Chef Emilio is amazing! Great food and showmanship on his end/kitchen team. Aaron and Rab Stefanoic (excuse the spelling) were outstanding from a service point of view. Defiantly made a regular date night extra special and memorable.

Great food! Horrendous service, probably the worst I have ever had. Even though the food is amazing, and I’m a huge fan of the restaurant, I’m not sure I’ll ever go back. The service was honestly a joke, for a restaurant of that caliber.

Not sure what happened but the space was a mess, our table was ready but not set with any silverware , service was slow and not so hospitable. Food arrived nearly 25 min after we ordered .. the location is nice, rooftop space with decent views. Once our food arrived it seemed like it sat under the heat lamp for a few minutes too long

Our server stood 5 ft away from our table and we had trouble hearing him. I felt rushed thru our meal. Apps came out quickly and before we were done our entrees came. My chicken was terrible. The cauliflower a mess to eat. I barely ate my chicken and my waiter did not ask why. I didn’t complain because that’s not my nature.

We had a really bad experience. Starting with an incredibly pretentious server. Plenty of details if the restaurant cares to know. Our appetizers consisted of the Pea Soup and salads, which were quite good. We ordered 3 of the dry age steaks. The meat was fairly tasteless and quite chewy, but the General Tsao’s cauliflower was excellent. Lastly, on the menu (which is displayed outside of the restaurant) they advertise a family style dinner during the spring season for $44 per person. Of course, it was not available

Did not meet expectations. Our server was pushy. He wanted to get drink orders moments after we set down and was defensive when I told him I needed a few minutes to look over the menu. When my husband told the server that the burger was not cooked medium as expected and he did not like it, the server was again defensive and explained to my husband why he should like it. My husband did not care for his burger or fries. My dish was good but not amazing. Our other guest enjoyed her dish. It was a birthday celebration, so I wanted to order dessert. They only had two options (ice cream and panna cotta). Neither of which felt like birthday desserts to us. Our server recommended we go to City Market and buy a cake and two bottles of wine.... The menu also included items (e.g. Chef's choice) that when we inquired about we were cut off and told it wasn't available tonight with no explanation. If it had been just one of these things that would be have been fine, but the combination soured the experience for us. For spending nearly $200 on dinner for 3 people, I expected better.

There was ONE dessert option which was extremely disappointing since the time we were there before they had amazing dessert options, and it was one of the reasons we wanted to return. . The $65 steak was sub par and we were sat directly in the sun without being asked if that was a preference. The hostess seemed less than interested in being there. We had an amazing experience last fall and were totally bummed about our experience this Memorial Day weekend. We probably wont return to this restaurant.

I love traveling to locations off season, and our experience at Aspen Kitchen is a prime example of why. From the service (Remington), the support staff, the sommelier and the Chef(I don’t think it was Emil, so maybe the Sous, but no matter), our evening dinner was the best of our five nights in town. In the span our first conversation, Remington read our moods and expectations perfectly, and he didn’t miss a step for the rest of the evening. The Chef’s Whim was perfect in execution and flavors. The wine pairing was spot on. The personal attentiveness from every staff member was outstanding. Huge thanks to everyone at Aspen Kitchen!
