   Amazing place!! We enjoyed our evening! The food was excellent and the service was great!! We will return in 2 weeks. Disappointed it will be closed for 6 months. Looking forward to reopening in May 2023.

   Still Required Eating, but skip dessert! After a long hiatus, my dinning guest and I looked forward to shaking off the pandemic and returning to our ole favorite. We loved our evening, but there were some problems, especially pacing. In fairness to our great wait staff (shout out to Jordan and Kevin), we should NOT have ordered our food along with our cocktails -- suddenly dishes came FLYING OUT OF THE KITCHEN - Lesson learned -- linger over drinks even if you know what you want. Found a great new wine GR174, but the first glass was bad (bottle had corked), sending it back caused some back-n-forth (REALLY?) My guest had the brussels sprouts as starter and then the sea bass, both very good. I got a taste of both but both for me too salty, especially the topping on the sea bass, my guest had the Austrian Gruerner. I ordered the lobster in puff pastry, which was heaven along with a glass of the Cremant. I had the 'duck two ways' another home run with the GR174. Since I was driving, my guest skipped dessert and had PORTO. I ordered the pastachio bar, which was a TINY little crumble with some dots of cherry compote around it ... With each bite, it was saltier and saltier (noticing a trend?) - it was like the taste of salt around the margarita drink (a cheap one at that). I sent it back, and got the fig tart. I expected a slice of fig tart; I got a hard little crust that had the worlds smallest scoop to ice cream and the world's smallest 3 slices of figs. The little crust with these microscopic yummies was SO HARD that when I tried to cut it with my spoon (all that was left, maybe I should have had a steak knife) the whole thing skidded across the plate and had to catch with my hand. For $100 prix fixe in the middle of the NC mtns, everything must be perfect. Art has no natural competitors in that region for Michelain level food and I still love it. BUT will skip dessert next time. IDEA: hire the locales to make their one killer dessert, works great in NYC!

    We love Artisinal. Even with the menu being prix fixe, there were a lot of choices for every palate. I can’t say that we’ve ever had a bad meal here, or even a mediocre one. The bar is also well stocked, and choices for cocktails always seem well thought out. Service, always excellent.

    The food is creatively prepared, beautifully presented, and totally unique in taste. The wait staff is very well trained, attentive, not at all intrusive, and answered all of our questions quickly, with accurate detail. A dinner at Artisanal is perfect for special occasions and provides great memories.

    Artisanal is a beautiful restaurant in a lovely tranquil setting. The staff is professional, knowledgable and unimposing. The food is creative and delicious with a variety of options. The pimento cheese scones are a must! The wine list has all anyone could ask for. Our favorite restaurant in the Boone/Banner Elk area because it is a culinary delight! Highly recommend it!

    This is a very special restaurant and very upscale so it is for special occasions. The menu is limited as its prix fix, there are several fish and meat options. The staff is always courteous and professional. The food is excellent.

    We have been to Artesenal several times. They have changed to a pre fixed menu 3 course $95 each which is fine but we went last night and they have now added supplemental charges to some of the items. I do not not eat seafood or game meat. I enjoy a steak which is what I normally get. They now want you to pay $40 more dollars on top of 95. That is truly outrageous. I'm sorry to say I doubt we will go back.

    Every visit to Artisanal reminds us how special the restaurant is. The food is a culinary delight for both the palate and the eyes. The service is attentive yet not intrusive. My wife and I travel extensively and have dined at a number of very special places. Artisanal is our favorite.
