The food was pretty but certainly not tasty... with the wine pairing and the food tasting I paid a total of $300 for myself and I enjoyed 1 of the 5 courses. I think they tried so hard to make it look good/seem gastronomical with the different styles of food prep that they lost the point of it which was a good tasting dish! The duck was decent but it is hard to mess up duck since it is flavorful on its own. The app and the salmon both tasted bleh, the dessert was like a licorice ice cream with some cookie bar which was not a good texture or that tasty either. Maybe this is just Seattle but if I am paying $300 for a nice meal I like to dress up and it was unpleasant sitting next to a couple in sweatpants and hoodies.

What a disappointment. For this amount of money I would expect not only a beautiful presentation but also nice food. It was average or below average. Portions were extremely small. No ambiance at all. Terrible decor. The only thing was good is service. Would never come back.

We had a wonderful time at Art of the Table. It was our first time dining there and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, waitstaff was attentive but didn’t hover. We had the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairing and every dish was unique and left you wanting more. We highly recommend AOTT to anyone who appreciates delicious, beautifully prepared food. We’ll definitely be back!

I was very impressed with how the restaurant so effectively used local ingredients in the menu. The food presentation was fantastic, and the flavors within each dish blended perfectly. The minor exception was that the kimchi overpowered the steak dish. The work of the pastry chef was especially noteworthy. Wine pairings were perfect for each course. Finally, the service was very attentive, but not at all bothersome. Overall, a very good team, putting out very good food and wine.

Every single dish was fabulous and the best part was trying foods we otherwise wouldn't have ordered. Sitting at the counter was great, we loved seeing the chef's put everything together!

Art of the Table is a pass if you are looking for an exceptional tasting menu experience. The food is good but not great. The stand out dish was the Waygu beef tenderloin ($45 supplement). I travel all over the world and always looking for at least one chef tasting menu with wine pairing experience in every city I visit so I am not new to this type of dining. These experiences are expensive and I have paid 2x more than I did at here but have to say, $800 for two to dine at Art of the Table is not worth it. Keep looking....

Terribly disappointing. Never had such a terrible tasting menu. The first impression is the best, & then everything goes downhill. The hostess is friendly & everything is beautifully plated (although we’ve seen prettier). Our server was clearly perfunctory & all by rote (could hear him repeating the exact same spiel with no deviation to each table, & clearly didn’t care whether we liked the food or not as we left multiple dishes partially uneaten). The amuse bouche was the best dish (& it was interesting but mediocre). Everything was progressively downhill from there. Weird flavours: most of the sauces were decent, but the proteins themselves were either bland or overly salty - for the 1st couple courses the sauces were able to somewhat salvage the issue although not particularly delicious, but the last few courses were unsalvageable. Not only were the flavours weird, but so were the textures - there was definite inconsistency in the cook of the proteins between the plates of each person at the table (under or over cooked or both in 1 dish!), but also just unappetizing textures in others. As for the wine pairing - it’s fairly mediocre, but since it didn’t require cooking, there’s nothing to screw up. Overall, never had such a disappointing tasting menu, & we’ve tried a lot! Would never recommend this place. Would never go back either. I don’t say this about a lot of places, especially local restaurants, but don’t try this place!

The service is outstanding. The food, overall, was good - not amazing. Only a couple of items on the menu were amazing: the tuna, the focaccia bread + butter, and the goat cheese ball. The brisket, though very tender, left a lot to be desired in the flavor department. Overall, a good experience. The price was for an amazing experience and we received a good experience.

Currently, AOTT is serving an 8 course tasting menu that moves from delicate amuse bouche, 2 wonder pint-size seafood bowls of amazing flavors, Squab stuff pasta pillows to heavy duty tender braised waygu to be followed by 2 desserts, both of which were the largest serving sizes on the list. Each individual dish was art food and impeccably prepared with amazing flavors. But assembled as a long string of courses, the entirety did not work. All the way to the way to the squab, dishes were light & delicate. But then your palate is shocked without preparation by a beef dish (I suggest a palate cleanser is needed). Followed almost immediately (without tome to digest) two previously prepared large desserts. One simply can't eat this barrage of food, no matter how delicate. I would suggest a customers ability to choose 1 dessert from the two. Or break the 8 course meal into 3 courses with two - 3 options per course. The wine list was very good but most prices were double retail.

Art of the table was one of the best meals I've had in my entire life. Honestly I thought it was better than Canlis. We went there for my boyfriends birthday dinner and had the six course tasting menu. Each course was unique and delicious. At the end of the dinner we couldn't pick a single course to remove. Also the portions were great! Sufficient so you feel like you get more than a bite but small enough to not leave uncomfortably full at the end. One small issue was that our waiter would remove our plates almost too soon. He was very attentive but I had a bite left on my plate and he removed it immediately without asking. Occasionally that did make me feel a bit rushed and for a meal like this I really enjoyed eating slowly and savoring the dishes. The biggest problem though was the tipping/service charge. The 6 course menu was priced at $135 per person. The menu itself says a 20% service charge is included so that was expected but it is strangely worded saying that service charge is retained by the house not that it is gratuity. When I received the bill it had an additional line for further tipping with a 20% recommended additional tip. That was a total of over $116 tip+service charge.....At that point just change your menu prices. Don't get me wrong this meal is worth every penny even so. It just rubbed me the wrong way to not expect to pay 40% on top of the bill going in. I think the lack of transparency here on the part of the restaurant is unkind to diners.

We always wanted to try this restaurant especially the reviews are excellent as well as the pictures posted. Very friendly staff, good service. However the the quality of food was off. The presentation of each plate was pretty. One of the dish- duck was not warm enough. Some dish was a bit confusing, the sauce did not compliment the ingredients. Overall somewhat disappointed.
