We enjoyed our food and margaritas as they were delicious! We were seated in a side room by ourselves which was great as we felt safe. At the end of our meal, they seated a party of 9 close to us which did not feel safe Next visit we will ask to sit in the large dining room with a high ceiling.
Hector was awesome as usual and the food was brilliant as always!
The food quality was low. Our beef fajitas were scrappy, and my wife's fish had a ton of bones.
Food is always fresh and amazing! Friendly staff and eager to make you happy!
The best Margaritas in Houston! Nothing compares!!!!
Just drinks. Delicious
This is our new favorite place. The customer service was great and the food was very authentic.
This terrific eatery is well spaced and comfortable. The service and safety procedures allow a relaxed dining experience. The food is unique and well done
Pico’s is by FAR our favorite restaurant! Over 30 years of food, fun and memories!
I've had three meals here, breakfast, lunch, & dinner here. All great. The mole is some of the best I've had in Houston so far. Servers are very accomodating & timely. Interior is lovely & well cared for. Not too noisy - good acoustics and I can easily speak with my family over the table. Plenty of parking. Easy to drive into & get out of. Oh and Christmas tamales are fast to get and delicious, esp. the black bean one for vegetarians!
Love the food but very expensive especially for lunch.
Miss the brunch buffet but covid. Second time I’ve had the wild boar mole. It is fantastic and so is the white queso. Glad they have fresh chicharrones as I can’t have the tortilla chips. Their margaritas are numerous and delicious. I wish there was a wine menu if there is we don’t get it. I do better on my diet with wine than margaritas now. Luckily I named a few. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on any wine or food questions.
It is pricier but very unique and worth the trip.
Coffee was cold. Asked for refill and still cold, Then we asked a different server for coffee and he made sure he was filling it with hot coffee. Tortillas were also cold. Food was ok. So many other choices for a good authentic Mexican breakfast. I would not recommend this one.Good place for dinner, but not for breakfast/brunch.
It is a good restaurant
We sat on the back patio and it was great. The food is always outstanding and the service was perfect. Our server was Yesmin, she was great. Drinks were on point and loved the atmosphere. Will return of course!
Long waits for server to check in on us. But he was a good server.
I've always loved Pico's, especially their Tamales Oaxaquino and Perfect Margaritas, but this was my first visit for breakfast. YUM!
Great, professional waiters who are knowledgable about the cocktail and good menus. Great ceviche and osso bucco and pork shank along with TexMex with a twist.
Food great, Margaritas were great no complaints first time trying this restaurant out after noticing it for years I’m glad I decided to give it a try.
As always, Pico’s never fails to impress. My wife and I had a wonderful meal, killer margaritas, and felt totally safe and distanced at our table. Arnaldo and his crew are doing a great job!
Food is excellent and very friendly customer service, from everyone at the restaurant. Highly recommend
Food was great, as always, and service efficient. Great margaritas!
The authentic prepared dishes were outstanding. I had the Mole Coloradito and my wife had her customary Ribeye.
Guacamole was fantastic and the house made tortillas were incredible.
The most outstanding part of the night was our server Ruben. He did a wonderful job and made sure we were taken care of.
We had an awesome first experience here. The menu was very broad and the Mole was excellent. Our sever Yesmin did a wonderful job!
We waited 10 minutes after being seated before I approached the hostess to inform her we had not been waited on. She had to tell a waiter who has passed by us several times to wait on us.
Another customer passed by our table (while we were eating ) four times going in and out of restaurant without a mask. On the fifth time I had had enough and got up from my table with my mask on and stood in his pathway. He then asked me what my problem was and that he was just going to the car to check on his young child who he apparently left in the car. All of this went on with the same waiter looking on. There are signs posted in the restaurant that masks are required while entering or exiting, but it is not enforced. We are not over reacting because We have a family member who had Covid ( missed two weeks of work) who got it through casual contact with an infected person who did know they had it. We were so upset at that point we asked for the check and immediately left the restaurant going out the back door to avoid the other customer and I did not finish my drink I just ordered.
We have been customers for over 25 years but don’t plan on returning anytime soon. We sure miss the Bellaire location and reasonable prices.
We have been dining at Pico’s since they operated in Bellaire. The food is always delicious and quality is consistent. Excellent servers, as well. My only complaint is: I made reservations on Thursday via OpenTable, for 6, on the patio for Saturday night. I received a call on Saturday from Pico’s and the female stated “this is the second time I’m calling you.” I had missed the first call and no message was left. She proceeded to tell me that my reservation for the patio could not be guaranteed because they had a lot of reservations and patio is first come first serve. I thought it odd because I had reservation 2 weeks prior, on the patio and it wasn’t the policy. We arrived a few minutes early and were granted our reservation. I noticed a 10 top set up, on the patio as we were seated, although none of the party showed up for at least 40 minutes and then they trickled in, but the party wasn’t complete as we left around 8:30ish . Anyhow, I found the demeanor of the employee that phoned me unfriendly and unapologetic. I get things are difficult w Covid, but the manner in which the employee delivered this to me could have been more tactful.
The food was delicious and the service was great. Ordered from the HRW menu and sat outside on the patio.
Normally I give Picos 5 stars. Have been many times. This time our waiter provided lackluster service. I had to flag him down to take drink orders for our friends who arrived few minutes after we did. I got the feeling he didn't want to be bothered with us. He was pretty unenthusiastic which has not been an issue the last few times we went.
The Mahi was delicious. I will be back but hopefully will get a better waiter next time.
Love Pico's. They have the best authentic Mexican food in Houston.
Hector our waiter is THE best. Some really good Maxican music would make the restaurant festive.
As usual, our anniversary dinner was fantastic and Abraham was a fantastic waiter.
We have been customers at Pico’s since the early days on Bellaire Blvd in 1984. We no longer live in Houston, but we always schedule a dinner at Pico’s any time we’re back in Houston.
We love Pico's, but this experience was not up to par. It may be due to Covid and a wait staff being overtaxed, but the service was slow. The red snapper dish was somewhat bland, but the carnitas were excellent. We hope they bring back the Sunday brunch soon - it is the best in town.
Poor quality shrimp. Premium prices for decent food. Everything we had we have had better for less. Flautist over done tortilla overpowered the filling. Chili relleno was good but sauce was not seasoned. Soft shell crabs were small but good lightly sautéd but $43 for 3 small crabs was way too much. Won’t be back. The location on Bellaire was a staple for 20+years.
It was very good. It’s 4 stars instead of 5 because it wasn’t the best ever, but I would definitely go again.
Very good. We really enjoyed the food and service.
Pico’s is doing their best to have a safe environment despite covid. I was pleased with the distance between tables and them discarding the paper table cloths after each meal.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Great service and amazing food. Margaritas amazing. Highly recommend.
We arrived about 15 minutes early because traffic was lighter than normal. We were seated right away and from start to finish the service was exceptional. The appetizers, drinks and dinner was perfect. Way to go Pico's!
Love the soft shell crab! Some of tbe best I've ever had! Reuben's service was perfect.
