The menu has expanded, but I always have the soft shell crabs when they’re available. We shared the ceviche campestano which was delicious and more than enough for two . They serve the best margaritas in Houston, especially the shakers then served straight up. Service can be a little slow, but our waiter was very helpful and attentive.

We've dined at Picos multiple times before, but were disappointed with our latest dining experience. I ordered the carne asada a la tamipquena. The meat was tender but not very flavorful and didn't seem to be seasoned or marinated. The cheese enchilada and rice/beans were on the small side. My wife had the chicken mole. It was tasty, but the portions were again on the small side. My wife also commented that she thought the packaged mole from Fiesta tasted better. That could have also been a function of how we season/marinate the meat for grilling. After finishing our margaritas, the tiny water glasses frequently ran empty. I eventually asked for a larger water glass. Overall, the quality of food and service was not worth the price point.

Picos is consistently excellent, but it's even better when they have soft shell crabs available. They are the best in town!

Great service. Always fun. Mexican spin on potato leek soup was great and the soft shell crabs were tasty. My wife always has chile relleno and she was happy. Shaken margaritas among the best in town.

The place is amazing, the food is out of this world and the atmosphere is incredible. My wife and I love this place and its location. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. I would come back again and again!

As always, the food at Picos was delicious; however, it took an extraordinary amount of time to have our order taken and then for the food to be delivered. Service was lackadaisical at best and downright neglectful at worst. I will be back, of course, because this is our go-to restaurant for Mexican food. I hope this was just an "off day".
