Great location. Table spacing perfect. Outdoors on a nice spring night. Problem is the food. Just so average. Not bad, but definitely not great.
First time to dine at Arezzo - we'll be back. Definitely met expectations for food quality, ambiance and service.
My family went out to eat after almost a year together and the server was so rude. He refused to ask the chef what I could eat as I am a vegan. I always go to restaurants with Italian, Indian or Asian food and always have something good to eat. This restaurant is Italian so the waiter told me the only thing I could have was a salad. That is not dinner! The server refused to ask the chef so we left! Never again!
It was Monday night, so not very crowded, that said , it was one of our first dining experiences since the pandemic, we would have assumed the service and attention would be better.. the food was mediocre at best.
The hostess at this restaurant was the rudest I have ever encountered. She told us there was no table for our reservation. We then had to wait for about 20 minutes. Sat us at a table outdoors as requested but one without heaters, even through there were other tables available. Took them another 15 to set us up and the table next to us asked to leave and have their food wrapped before it even came out because it was taking too long. Overall an honestly unpleasant experience, mostly because of the hostess. I’m from NYC and have never experienced anything like her level of rudeness.
Very understaffed. We waited an hour for the food. One man was the waiter for all of the outside tables (about 12 tables). He was very busy to really care about all of the tables. We had to ask for silverware and water. After an hour, we asked for our food to go as it was getting cold outside. The heater did not do that much.
Always terrific food. Great outdoor dining
It was a very quiet Friday night. Only two other tables. Seemed a bit depressing that no one was out when things are supposed to start opening up. It will be much more uplifting when we can eat outside! 5.00 for a soda water!!
Excellent food service and atmosphere. Wonderful experience.
The food and everything was great, but at the end of the dinner our server checked how much we left to tip right in front of us, and complained that it was not enough. He proceeded to give us back our tip and say that we should keep it to ourselves. That never happened to us at any restaurant ever, no matter how much we left.
Food was poor especially for the price. Meatballs tasted and looked like mini frozen ones you buy at grocery store. Our waiter told us we couldn’t order appetizer first because they were going to be busy, which it never became busy while we were there. They were out of a few things on menu when we had reservations for 5:15.
Got seated at a broken table clearly taken out from storage and planted right next too what looked like the reception (clearly not where a table would be in the restaurant) was told there was no other tables. Spent the entire time there looking at 2 empty tables that was unoccupied till they closed, server was very nice and helpful. Food was okay but the night was ruined.
We made a reservation on Open table and when we arrived the restaurant was closed. There was a banner out front for curbside pickup with a phone number but when we called there was no answer.
It was unclear if this restaurant is still in business or not.
When I came in for my 7:45pm reservation I asked if they would be closing soon due to the pandemic or if we had enough time to enjoy dinner. I was told not to worry about the time.
After ordering drinks the waiter came to ask for our order 3 times in the next 10 minutes then told us we had to order because they were closing. It was a deceptive practice and made the whole meal feel rushed. As a result they asked if we wanted dessert while we were still eating dinner because the kitchen was closing and took one of our plates before the second person was finished eating and gave us the bill before we were done.
I wish I was told when I came in and asked that there was limited time. Then we would have been prepared to go quickly.
Celebrated January birthdays with a gathering of five friends. We are family style. The views are beautiful, the service attentive without being overbearing and the food was excellent!
Won’t go back, was told plenty of portable heaters, none worked we were very cold thru out, poor service, food reasonable
Was surprised to see a group of 8 turned away at 8:30pm.
They made a reservation on Open Table. You would think during these times a group like that would be welcomed.
Absolutely delicious. Burrata appetizer was delicious. The gnocchi was fantastic. Highly recommend
Great pizza and salad. Superb water view. Attentive staff.
Aggravated because I made a reservation for outside and when we arrived were told no outside seating, why offer that option. I have never eaten inside because of covid risks but my friend had arrived earlier than I didn’t make a big deal out of it. Wait service was inpatient and had a
We had dinner by the water, it was a bit cold but they had heaters and it made it perfect! The food was amazing, we had a filet mignon risotto and a pizza. Everything was the right temperature and it was delicious!! Would totally go back. The price was just right for the quality of the food.
Always a wonderful meal
Eating outside overlooking the water is lovely, but it was a chilly afternoon and using the heaters would have helped. I ordered an organic salad with grilled chicken and it was thoroughly mediocre. I eat salad all the time, and normally would take it home with me if I had any extra. This time I did not. I am not in a hurry to return.
For Italian food in Westport the food cannot be beat. Extreamly good food and a great amount of choices on the menu.
the wait staff was great, we had out 3 year old and 6 Mouth old and it was no issue, the outdoor seating was very nice, and the food was great. the best place for a Sunday brunch with the family.
Incredibly slow service. Our reservation was at 5:15. A host was there when we walked in not helping others and took 10 minutes to seat us. While we were waiting a woman getting take out warned us that the service was bad but we still gave the restaurant a try. Took 20 minutes to get menus. My margarita was bad and took about 15-20 minutes to get a new drink once I had ordered. When I ordered my meal dairy free the were difficult about it when it was a meal that was pasta, tomato sauce, eggplant, and mozzarella. Our food didn’t arrive at the table until 6:40. My boyfriend asked for his steak cooked well done and it came out rare. Took him 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to get his steak cooked more. When they brought it back it still wasn’t cooked well done. At that point we just called it a night. The table behind us was complaining. The table to our right waited 30 minutes for their food to be wrapped up and to get a check. At least they didn’t charge us for the steak.
Setting is perfect. Outdoor patio well spaced with heaters. Food was delicious. Service was very slow. Not enough waiters.
Very good experience. Food was good, outside dining beside the River was beautiful, service was excellent.
My wife and I got pasta entrees that were delicious. If you want pizza let them know when making reservations-don’t ask me why? Outdoor dining is awesome- service is adequate
Great service great food
Beautiful outdoor setting and super friendly staff. Food was great!
Lovely evening! Great food! Excellent service! Perfect social distancing!
Beautiful setting in Westport by the bridge.
Food is delicious ! Favorites are pasta dishes and meatballs.
The service is exceptional.
Beautiful patio dining on the water. Food was excellent.
We originally were seated in the enclosed porch with the sun on us and it felt wonderful. But then we were moved as they had a party coming in. That was my only complaint. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and the service was wonderful.
We drove from NYC for a change of scene and asked for outside seating as we wanted to bring along our lab - in fact we pick restaurants only after ascertaining that dogs can sit outdoors. The manager said he would accommodate us at a table on the north side of the patio away from all diners as someone had complained about a dog barking on a previous occasion. Fair enough. Except that the waiter kept coming back to us and insisted that the dog remain "hidden"! Meanwhile no other diners noticed him much less complained.
As for the food, nothing much to write about. Ordered the Halibut which was glazed to the point of being greasy with bulky full stemmed broccoli . Pasta was mediocre and edible. $100 for those two and a glass of Chardonnay was not good value.
Scenery is spectacular.
We arrived right on time and were seated immediately by the hostess (on a weird note, she was not dressed nicely as the rest of the staff is). It was a lovely two top on the water. Our waiter was Jose and he was friendly and professional. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Johnny the Papperdelle and oh my goodness was it delicious. The steak was seasoned perfectly and cooked to my preferred medium temperature. Johnny's pasta was delicious with homemade noodles and just fantastic. We weren't able to finish either dish as very liberal portions so had an amazing lunch yesterday (Thursday 10/15). I posted a review also on yelp where you can see the pictures taken as I met all the requirements but it won't allow them or upload them here.
Just a beautiful restaurant, good service and excellent food. Go with confidence and ask for Jose.
Just overall outstanding
ate outdoor on the patio. Beautiful view and heaters kept us very comfortable. I had the halibut that was delicious. Friendly staff and my cocktail was very good. You will not be disappointed. New favorite spot when I visit the area.
