So lucky to get a reservation on the day! especially for 6. Luck and a late seating worked in our favor. 4 had not been before, and Arethusa did not disappoint, even the NYC restaurant owner among our group. Food and service cannot be faulted. Quality of the source ingredients, presentation, and kitchen creativity are excellent. Worth the trip to Bantam - if you can get a reservation!

Food is excellent. Everyone really enjoyed it. And fairly priced relative to quality. The restaurant has tables right by the door and it gets very cold every time someone opens the door. So when you are booking make sure to ask for a table that is far away from the door.

Consistently the best in the state, our favorite hands-down. Usual prompt and friendly service, great first courses of the carrot soup and duck with fried rice, and excellent main courses of the organic salmon and the strip steak. Nice touch to acknowledge my birthday, always a pleasure to come here.

Our first visit to Arethusa was to celebrate my boyfriends 30th birthday. It was definitely worth the drive, what a great night! All of the staff was wonderful, and the food was amazing. The chicken dish was one of the best I have ever had. The pumpkin dessert with homemade ice cream was also delicious. We would love to return for another special occasion.

This place deserves a Michelin Star. Incredible food with great vegetarian options. The staff is kind and anticipates needs. It is fine dining but doesn't come off as pretentious. I highly recommend trying this place!

I was given a gift certificate to Arethusa al Tavolo for my birthday. We enjoyed a wonderful mid-week dinner there. The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. If I were to complain about anything it was the combination of the small print on the menu with the low lighting. It made reading the menu much more difficult than it needed to be, even though I'm still young! Other than that, the evening was perfect!

Fantastic!! Food quality is outstanding, as is service. First time there, ate by myself and enjoyed everything about this gem of a restaurant. I had 3 starters: Hamachi Tartare (absolute best tartare I have ever had), lamb carpaccio, and kale salad. Looking forward to returning.

We thought the the restaurant was superb. The menu is exciting and the food was as good as was described by our most capable waitress. The food was presented well as were our drinks. Bantam is a lovely town and is well worth the drive from the towns to the South. In my three years in CT i have not found a restaurant that compares to ARETHUSA AL TAVOLO.

Worst service. My husband waited 10 mins for someone to take his drink order while I took our daughter to the bathroom. Then when my 6 yo wanted some of my 16$$ soup and I asked for a little extra in a teacup for her or something, I was told no! Unbelievably bad service for the money that was charged.

As usual, this restaurant was wonderful... Classy, casual /formal, fantastic food. Friendly staff
spoke to the manager Robert and met the owner George this time.... Love it !!
We travel 1 hour to dine here each time, recommended to our siblings and friends and at least
20 have been here. See you before Christmas.

PS. the Butternut Squash/Pear Ravioli are Outstanding

We celebrated three special birthdays with lunch on Saturday. The attention to detail, the service and the food were excellent. Our server, a lovely energetic young woman, treated us like royalty. Thank you for a happy memory!

The entire experience from the hostess greeting us to the “thank you” as we were leaving was wonderful. The food was very creative; but better yet it was presented beautifully and tasted even better. The waitstaff was gracious and friendly. My waistline is happy that it’s an hour away. We’ll be back ASAP.

As we've come to expect the restaurant was firing on all cylinders, with nary a miss...Tomato soup, octopus, lamb meatballs, lobster roll and churros were all spot on with intriguing flavors and textures. Blood mary was a classic and the rose cremant fresh and effervescent. Only misfire was the onion rings, mostly bland and glutinous breading, befitting a Ruby Tuesday's. Some quibbles..espresso was hot and had a nice crema, but of a nondescript highway rest stop quality, and the Rioja was overly chilled. Avoid the table for two just to the right of the door, or plan to bundle up... as it is directly in the path of the a/c vent.

One of my favorite restaurants in Connecticut - never disappoints! The Lobster & Avocado salad and the Tartare of Kampachi starters were both awesome! We also loved the trio of Lamb and the Arethusa Butter Poached Chatham Cod as our entree choices. The food is always fresh and the service is excellent. Five Stars!

A bright and shiny star on the Ct food scene. This place is serious. Can compete with any Manhattan restaurant. Interesting choices, thoughtfully prepared. You won’t find a better choice (if you can get a reservation)

As expected (we have been to this restaurant before), the food and service were outstanding. Portions are just the right size, all dishes are beautifully presented, and everyone from the maître d' to our server and the bartender (who noticed we were having trouble choosing a wine and came over to help out) were cheerful and helpful. It was our wedding anniversary (which they knew), and they included nice touches like a card for the two of us and "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the dessert plate. The only minor problem with the restaurant is the noise level. Thankfully, we were tucked into a corner by the bar so the noise level was not an issue this time, but we have eaten in the main part of the restaurant before, and the din can be off-putting. But, we will definitely return despite that one small detraction because the food and service are light years better than any other restaurant in Litchfield County.

Enjoyed our dinner at Arethusa, service was way above other restaurants in the area, the look and ambiance was quite nice, a very special restaurant in the Litchfield area.
The pork dish was excellent, the sea bass was well-prepared but had a bit of a fisshy taste, could be improved.
We will remember the service and the inventive menu, we will be back.

Incredible experience. The food is spectacular! Service like no other. When you are served, every meal is placed on the table at the same time by the wait staff. Your water glass is never empty and your napkin gets refolded for you if you get up from the table for a moment.
