My daughter’s 16th birthday . They had a card for her and a happy sweet 16 dessert. The service and the food was delicious! It was a very special celebration.

I must say that Arethusa is one of the finest restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. The staff’s service was impeccable and the food was off the charts. We will definitely make the hour plus trip again. P.S. go next store after dinner for their amazing ice cream. It’s the dairy from their farm.

Overall the service was incredible. Our waitress was fantastic and the owner even came around to check in on diners! However, the General Manager (mid-day on 18 Aug) was quite rude. He was short/impatient with an elderly couple seated next to us...so much so that I felt the need to intervene. Food was excellent, as always.

Fabulous restaurant to celebrate an anniversary! From the moment we entered the restaurant and often during our delicious meal the servers made it a point to wish us a Happy Anniversary concluding with a wonderful dessert and written on the plate a 49th Happy Anniversary. We were not rushed at our mid-day meal which latest close to two hours. All the dishes are beautifully presented and absolutely a joy to consume. We will be back!

Great food in Bantam! Busy with moderate noise level. Dinner for 2 easily goes over $200 with food drinks and tip. But for special occasions it’s our go to place.

Most excellent and imaginative cuisine. Truly a treat. Service was good, but a little forgetful. Maitre D seemed confused and hesitant about reservation, for some unknown reason. Ambience is pleasant and genteel, except for incessant traffic noise, which can’t be helped. In all, a very positive and memorable dining experience to be shared with friends.

Our table was directly over an air conditioning vent and we were freezing. We asked repeatedly if the vent could be turned off or the air conditioner temperature could be changed, but we were ignored. We finally moved ourselves to a different table. Food was great, but I’ll remember the evening for how uncomfortable we were and how unhelpful the host was.

We eat here 3 times a year at least and it’s always amazing... this time for brunch the pancakes were in my top 2 of best pancakes ever. So buttery and crunchy on the outside with candied cashew crumble, fresh blueberries and citrus infused whipped cream... unbelievably light and delicious.

Had our second incredible dinner here this past weekend. Everything was excellent, except we have one complaint. After pouring our inital glasses of wine from the bottle we chose, the waitstaff only came back to the table to top off our glasses twice during a 2 1/2 meal. We are uncomfortable pouring our own wine in a fine dining restaurant, but felt we had no choice.
The waitperson at our first visit kept an eye on our glassed continuosly and therfore, they were never empty. Other than that, the service was perfect, as was the food!

A big welcome by the front of house follow by warm, kind and very well trained service. The food is consistently excellent throughout the courses. If you have room for an after dinner drink, try their Hot Toddy with Chrysanthemums... best ever.

This is one of the outstanding restaurants in Connecticut with attention to every detail in the preparation of the food. We are NY foodies, so we know the value of excellence in cuisine and Arethusa did not disappoint us. Even the bread was excellent. My wife had the brick baked chicken that was superb, the tomato salad--delicate and wonderful--and I had the squash flowers with ricotta---superb and the special sea bass--- which was outstanding. Even the dessert was excellent. Service was professional, friendly and efficient. We will put this at the top of our list for Litchfield County.

As usual the food was the star. Unfortunately the service did not live up to our expectations based on prior visits. Our server was just generally not attentive. As an example, when he asked how we liked the bottle of wine, we expressed our disappointment. He then asked if he could take a small glass to the bartender for his opinion. Sadly we still don't know what he thought. Hopefully our next visit will be better.

Easily one of the best dinning experiences I've ever had. From the ambiance to the service to the food everything was Michelin star quality. The manager, Robert, was kind enough to chat with us about the history of Arethusa, as well as recommend the best ice cream I have EVER had. Brandon (one of the servers) was truly exceptional when presenting the complimentary amuse bouche. Our other server, Andrew, was also wonderful. Every bite was delicious and beautifully plated. Our cocktails were fantastic. As someone who comes from the service industry, this restaurant is run better then most. Though every table was full at 830pm on a Thursday, you never felt the crowd or chaos. The staff worked so harmoniously, no delays, it was truly impressive. Check our Arethusa ASAP. The food is incredible, but you will also have a truly wonderful dining experience.

Second time back ..... Beyond expectations on every level from start to finish! From the special velvety blue cheese mouse straight off the farm served in tiny fresh made mini waffle cones, to the most dreamy buttery Scallops we've ever eaten. Each dish was like fine art, filled with so many incredible flavors and textures it was like a party in my mouth with every bite and each dish was just the perfect amount. You can tell the chef and his support team truly care about every detail. The waitstaff in action... is like watching a finely choreographed ballet dance around the room. Not to mention all the staff have smiles on their faces and seem like they are really having as much fun as the guests. Its hard to not get caught up in the wonderful happy ambiance exuding from this place the minute you walk in the door. Hands down Arethusa al Tavolo is THE best meal and best dining experience we've ever had and Im quite certain you will agree.

Six of us for dinner and everyone's was a delight. The apps were great, light and delicious. Service was friendly and professional and always just right. They didn't bother you yet you always had someone when you needed them. Everything that came to the table was presented very well and more importantly tasted wonderfully. A long time to get reservations but worth the planning.

Having friends who live near Hartford, CT gives me the excuse, a few times each year, to drive 1-1/2 hours from White Plains, NY to dine at Arethusa, and I am always glad that I made the trip.

My lunch was excellent. I had two appetizers. My only issue was that the first course didn't appear on the table for 45 minutes from the time we ordered. When it did arrive it was a hand made work of art. And delicious.

I am a foodie that loves to go to the best restaurants especially in NYC. I make sure to go to Arethusa every summer and am never disappointed and can't wait to return. The food is just outstanding. The freshness of the food cannot be beat and the way the chef puts the top quality ingredients together is consistently amongst the top restaurants I've ever eaten in. The menu is quite extensive and varied for this size restaurant making it difficult to make choices but you simply cannot go wrong. I also appreciate the little touches of their amazing amous bouche of their homemade cheese with delicious complementary flavorings like beets, their homemade bread which cannot be resisted and their delicious cookies for dessert. You are luck if you snag a reservation which you need to do well in advance.

Fabulous flavors all around! Delicious starters with amuse-bouche and cheese plate and tempura squash blossom. Wonderful scallop and pork plates! Exquisite flavors! Excellent service! The only disappointment was the noise level. We were a table of two next to two loud groups of four. I could barely hear my husband at his birthday dinner. We both thought about leaving, but were ultimately very glad we stayed. Even though it was hardly an intimate dinner for two, the overall gastronomic experience was delightful. Come here for incredible flavor. Go elsewhere for a quiet, romantic dinner.
