The food service industry is being held hostage by the lack of people who want to work and this restaurant is not immune to it.
We were all but ignored as one server tried to handle the room. She had an assistant, but even the owner/chef had to leave the kitchen to help.
We overpaid and were underserved.
They were not even busy. Avoid.
Wonderful as always. Just wish the seating didn't feel so "cafeteria" like, the ambiance doesn't match the quality of food and service, however that wont stop me from coming back and telling friends how amazing you are!
Wonderful experience - great food and fun to discuss the menu with the chef.
The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and beautiful! The owner / chef is a master at what he does and you will not go wrong to dine at Aragosta!
Excellent selection on menu. Attention from the chef. Enthusiastic service.
Staff was efficient, courteous and well trained. Ambiance very nice. Food quality, preparation, presentation was of the highest standards. The finished products were all excellent. Wine choices were the best in St George. The owner Chef visited with all tables regularly, he is pleasant and truly concerned with the guest’s experience. We will return, and it will be a wonderful place to take our guests. Thank you Paisley for a wonderful evening.
Great service and attention to detail. I loved the slow, relaxed, laid back atmosphere. The food was perfect and full of flavor.
Servers were very professional and attentive but do not hover over you which I appreciate. The food was incredible! The chef actually comes out to visit with each table and inquire as to your satisfaction with the food.
Great as usual
Aragosta's never disappoints. The Chef really knows how to prepare a great meal. Our go to special occasion destination!
Elegant dining room. Pasta (fucchi) filled with cheese and pear in a seasoned butter sauce and the lobster ravioli were two amazing dishes.
We had a wonderful meal here to celebrate my mom’s birthday. The service was very good overall and only had a few minor hiccups (which I am willing to excuse knowing how hard it is to find restaurant staff at the moment.) The chef stopped by our table more than once to ensure we were satisfied and then went out of his way to prepare a special dessert (in addition to the two that we ordered) for my mom’s birthday, which he personally delivered to our table along with a fresh flower. The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared to order, the desserts were all clearly made in-house and exceptional, and the personal touches made our experience very memorable. We will be returning as soon as possible as well as recommending Aragosta to our friends and family.
A wonderful experience. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, and sumptuous food. Imi, the gracious chef/owner made the evening even more delightful by greeting us by presenting lovely red rose to celebrate our anniversary and then stopping by our table to ask how our first bite was of our entree. He also treated us to tiramisu served on an artistically decorated plate. We will return to this outstanding restaurant often.
We visit St George every couple of summers. We found Chef Imi a number of years ago and have made it a point to visit Aragosta at least once per visit. It is a highlight of our trip. The food is amazing. And Chef is delightful. You always feel special when you visit.
Great! Enjoyed chef, very personal treatment. I'll go again.
One of the best dining experiences, ever! Food was amazing, restaurant was super classy, and the staff was terrific. The chef (and owner) himself came out to pour the wine and checked up on us multiple times. A+
Save your money. The scallops we ordered came out raw and my husbands steak was overcooked. The lobster looked like it was purchased at Costco. It was chewy and inedible. But the worst part… I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and the server replied “I dont know what that is.”
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The chef was also waiting tables. Meanwhile three staff members were walking around with nothing to do. There was poor communication between the chef and his team and witnesses this as the dinner salad I ordered was brought to a different table and turned away because it wasn’t theirs, so the salad was returned to the kitchen instead of our table. Additionally we were never asked or able to order another drink. Our dining experience made us feel like we were on an undercover tv show trying to expose exactly what not to do when running a restaurant.
Wonderful ambiance and the food was spectacular. The Chef is very personable and comes out to greet all the guests. We will definitely be back. One of the few premiere upscale dining establishments in St. George. ❤️
What can I say. Micheal was a great waiter. We had a wonderful anniversary. The chef came out and actually sat us at our table which was nice. He also brought out a rose for my wife and asked us how everything was. It was very pleasant atmosphere for dinner for two. I would like to go when they have live music but the music was very pleasant. Our food was delicious and I ate too much but worth it. If you worry about the price of a fine dinner then it’s too expensive for you at any restaurant. I felt that the price was in alignment and I got my money’s worth and was better than flowers and chocolates for and anniversary. Thanks again to everyone at the restaurant.
The chef came out and greeted us at our table and gave an overview of the menu. He followed up with a rose personally delivered to our daughter for her birthday. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Live music on Thursday night was an added bonus!
To be the first time we had a wonderful time Mike was amazing he is great.
The entire evening was an incredible experience. The ambience and presentation are the best in St. George. The food exceptional.
Food was great! Chef personally comes around and checks on you.
Great food, excellent service. It's a beautiful venue. Chef personally stopped by the table to get feedback and make sure we were enjoying our dinner: It's clear that he cares and the whole experience shows it, especially the food. Highly recommend.
Everything about Aragosta is outstanding from the ambiance, the food, the service and the menu. The Chef is very friendly and really appreciates your business. Best restaurant in St. George, Ut. by far.
Needs some updating. Very old fashioned inside. Food was only so-so & at that price I’d expect better. Had Sea Bass & lobster ravioli.
The food at this place is by far the best that I have had in St. George. The chef comes out to the tables regularly and interacts with the guests. The wine selection is pretty good. They have silver oak for example.
I have followed Chef Imi for the past 15 years. He just keeps getting better and better. The food is excellent and the service is the best. We had the sea bass and it was the most tendered I have ever eaten. Great experience.
It is a wonderful restaurant with great food and great service. The reason I couldn't give it 5 stars all the way through was that the corkage fee is $25 which is pretty much outrageous. I had written to ask but never got a response, so I was a little embarrassed when I marched in with my expensive bottle of wine to find out I would have to pay $25 more. I didn't, by the way. Otherwise a great place.
We were in town for a wedding and found this delightful restaurant in the bell tower. The chef's creations were amazing as was our server Kaylee. When asked for suggestions she guided us beautifully and we were not disappointed. The cappuccino was even made with extra care. Delicious and we highly recommend it.
The food was good quality and tasted good. The restaurant and experience felt a little dated from the waiters uniforms to the ambience and the food. Expensive good quality food without the wow factor.
The presentation of the prosciutto and melone salad was horrible. The meat was draped over the melon and it didn’t have any olive oil or balsamic vinegar. It tasted alright though.
Additionally I put in the open table notes that this was a special anniversary dinner and requested 2 glasses of champagne to be ready at the table. I don’t think they even got the message. Also I tried calling 3 times about 2 hours before dinner but no one answered.
Overall, the food was good but I don’t think we would go back.
We had eaten at the much smaller old Aragosta site several times and always felt bad for the single waiter who covered the entire place by himself. Service was bad and food came out haphazardly. Food quality was hit and miss. But now at the cavernous new place Chef Imi still had a single waitress who clearly could not keep up - and so the service was even worse and the hot food came out cold. Chef Imi fawned over one table personally, but the rest of us had slow service which is very maddening when you realize you are getting second rate service. The actual food quality was also noticeably WORSE at the new place. Cold food never tastes good, nor does well done overcooked meat taste good when you have ordered medium rare meat. This place could only be considered fine dining in St. George, UT by patrons who have never truly had fine dining. Will never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone.
Fabulous as always!
Loved our anniversary dinner! Impeccable service. Delicious food and a red rose for my lovely wife. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant for any special. Occasion. Chef Imi is a class act.
Excellent service---attentive but not hovering. Delicious food, from the caprese salad to the entrees and the scrumptious lemon cake--all beautifully presented. Always a treat to eat here.
Good food and amazing upscale restaurant. We always compare this type of a restaurant to Katherine’s in Mesquite NV and because Katherine’s is probably our favorite restaurant we would definitely choose Katherine’s.
Best of best! Amazingly outstanding in every way!
Great find. Food was excellent. Would have preferred a full bar...but otherwise everything else was wonderful!
