Dishes feature carefully selected local produce and combine the staple ingredients of British cooking with groundbreaking techniques. The atrium bar is open all day with no reservation needed and serves an extensive menu of cocktails including two signature selections, one with ingredients inspired by the botanicals used to make gin and the second by a most British staple - tea.

Awesome food and fantastic service. A great night all round.
Food very nice, not a lot of it , very expensive to expensive for what it is, will not be going back,
Fantanstic view! So glad it was possible to book this in Open table.
I was there with my friend visiting from NY. Just two of us. The ambiance was nice with spectacular view. However the waiter was so much in a hurry as if he wanted us out asap, which made us feel very uncomfortable. The starter was ok but both our mains were just so so... just to a point where we said let’s not complain. Overall, great experience to be at Shard but not great after dining...
Our waiter was very condescending and rude.
Advertised as “tasting menu” but was a simple 3-course set menu. View is amazing, but food is very ordinary, yet pretends (and priced) to be special. Advice to visitors = go for a drink and the view, but eat elsewhere. Advice to management = don’t oversell: I would have been happy with a set menu, but don’t pretend it is anything more than that.
Do not waste your time or money to be belittled and robbed.
Of course for the view is an amazing place, both for lunch and dinner. Food were okay.
Be careful when booking through OpenTable. I was taken to this link for booking the Mary Poppins afternoon tea but found out once I arrived at the Shard that they don't take bookings for on open table for the afternoon tea.. Thankfully they managed to squeeze us in but we were told we only had 1hour and 30mins, so we felt rushed. Also you are certainly paying for the views, the tea is OK but I've had much better.
Terrible experience, from the underwhelming welcome, to the inconstant service to the food, to the cold goodbye.
Each staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than welcoming or caring for guests, we had to wait and ask each time for drinks, when I pointed out that the lamb meatball was really dry and the lamb tough the waitress simply said: “ok!” And left. When we were about to leave and waiting for our coats were rudely asked to move and when I pointed out I was missing my umbrella I was rudely rebuffed by one of the staff asking me to:”wait a minute, no?!”. Overall beautiful restaurant, great view, but poor service, poor food and terrible value for money. Shame as this place could be so much more but I guess they don’t need repeat custom.
My college aged daughter and I were in London for a brief time and wished to do something special. This was the perfect place. We originally had reservations for 8:00 pm, but due to a prior engagement had to push the reservation to 9:30 pm and each time we called - the restaurant was more than accommodating. We were lucky enough to get a table for two right by the glass. The view was spectacular. The music they played throughout the evening was perfect background music (maybe a bit too elevator like, but calming). We had three people attending to us. When the first drink order took longer than the appetizers to arrive, they quickly apologized and said they'd be complementary. I had the salmon and my daughter a steak - they were fantastic. Lovely and very special dinner. People pay money to go for the view at the Shard, better to go for dinner or drinks so you get the view and great food.
The Lunch menu was disappointing, with very limited choice, although the food that there was, was good.
We were shown to our table and not offered the wine list for some time, we also had to wait to be relocated inbetween courses so that we could have a window table. It appears that a large area of the more preferable seating is now allocated to the afternoon tea experience.
Our waiter was very pleasant and even arranged a little treat for my wife's birthday.
Overall we were disappointed and would unlikely dine there again.
Very unfortunate visit - it was our 15th wedding anniversary and we booked this last minute to end our trip to London - we had been before for lunch and really enjoyed it.
Saw the menu on offer was the tasting menu with matching wines and agreed that would be fun!
We arrived early at 7.30 and expected to be directed to the bar which we were.
We ordered two cocktails and waited .... and waited- no drinks.decided to give up the wait and went over to be seated At 8. Table was very dark and VERY noisy. The waiter brought the menu which was not the tasting menu and we asked for this menu. We asked if the volume could be turned down and it was. The waiter came over and asked what we wanted to order - we asked again for the tasting menu. 4 mins later the waiter asked again what we wanted to order - enough already alarm bells rang and we decided to leave - spoke with the manager who offered to make things right but by then it was too late - decided to leave before my husband really lost it .
The set menu was very repetitive, both dishes with the same flavors. The veloute was only warm and bland. I asked for pepper and never arrived.
The main was overwhelming with truffle and truffle oil.
The chocolate dessert too hard and very heavy. Didn’t finish most of my meal and nobody asked me why.
After we ordered dessert we were asked 4 more times if we wanted to order.....twice by the same waiter!!!
We where told to leave and move to the bar even if 2 other tables of friends of the staff where still there, been served champagne and enjoying themself.
The whole experience was disappointing .
The worst service ever！Totally ruined my birthday！The food is terrible and I waited for half an hour for a small bowl of fries（which is nearly 6 pounds！OMG）and they told me I didn‘t order this！The only thing they were able to do was saying “sorry”，with bad attitude.
Service was very very slow, we weren’t offered more drinks or side dishes, which were needed. Shame as food is amazing
i had a friend from SF USA on her bday trip to EUROPE, i thought aquashard would be a better choice than hutong as i have been recently to Ting at shangrila..we were there for lunch and i requested a table by the window but we didnt get it..plAce is too packed too busy that we didnt get served on a timely manner had to wait for long to have our orders taken, no bread was served whilst waiting had to ask for it.. and the rest of the meal were delayed..i requested for a bday plate when i booked the table but it didnt come either until i actually asked for it again which then spoilt the moment..so disappointed with the service i have been here a few times before..but never thought they're now failing
Fantastic views but poor lighting at table. Needed a torch to read menu and see food. Loud music that drifts from connected bars and restaurants.
Food was great, venue is special and service prompt.
The place was nice of course but the food and the price for what you get isn’t what I expected.
A beautiful with amazing views. A little inflexible on the menu, e.g. we wanted the drink which went with the set lunch while in the bar waiting for our table and they wouldn't do so. No salt or pepper on the tables. One 1 vegetarian option per course.
Views stunning, waiter was lovely but slow and forgetful, food was ok but, for me, too rich with far too much truffle oil on both starter and main. Nice atmosphere, could be quite romantic. Cocktails were heady! Bathroom well worth a visit!
Food cold, side dishes didn't come with main meals. Had to send back. Steak very tough
The view is amazing the staff were very polite helpful and it’s very cool up there looking at London! The food is fair but overpriced for the quality and same goes for the drinks!
Once at the table, no one offered to take our coats. We had to walk back to the desk and ask them to hang them up. Hostess clearly doesn’t know the menu. Service was slow and no excuse with only six tables in. Had to ask for the spare cover to be removed from the table. Where’s the service etiquette gone?
The views are superb, the staff are good, the food portions mediocre, and the prices high; notwithstanding this it's a place to visit and enjoy.
Tutto ok servizio un po' troppo lento.
Loved pablo the waiter he was so nice and friendly, there was a lot of waitresses that were miserable and extremely especially a blonde young lady. But Pablo was so friendly
Service was awful. They asked us to leave after 45 minutes and rushed us through the entire evening.
Beautiful London View - but poor food and service!
Waiters were not particularly attentive nor accommodating. Originally booked for the seasonal tasting menu but wanted to change to the a la carte for 1 of the party - we had to really fight to order the food we wanted as they could/would not remove or substitute one of the items ( as all the options contained Truffle which one of the party was allergic too) it should not have been that difficult . Non the less as it was a special birthday meal for my mother - we did not want to ruin the meal and ambience for my mother.
Food was cold on arrival, Wine pairing did not arrive with the food it was meant to be paired with. 6yr olds food came out after everyone else's. Empty drinks glasses for most of the meal as the waiters only checked in when they delivered the food. ( I actually refilled my daughters water from our own water bottle as we waited so long for the waiter to bring water and condiments)
While I fully expect to pay a premium for the location and view , the quality and service really fell short - and ultimately we left the Shard with no real memory- a totally disappointing and forgettable experience at a hefty price.
Great service, great food, incredible views and outstanding decor. Loved it.
The food was delicious, and the service outstanding. They gave us 2 free glasses of Champagne and a “congratulations” plate because they saw that we were celebrating a specil occasion.
Amazing views , lovleu atmosphere. Service and food choice could be better
Overrated, extremely expensive with the very few vegetarian options and no vegan at all. Feels snobbish more than creating a special atmosphere. However, the food is fresh and deliciously cooked.
Great view of the city with nice food and ambiance.
Definitely worth the visit
Was okay. Prices are high as one would expect. Service is okay but there are better places for this.
What a spectacular view of London! The bar has delicious hand crafted cocktails. I sat at a beautiful window table overlooking the London Eye. Service was impeccable! The food was just ok......I had the sea bass and it didn't have much flavor. I would absolutely come back for the amazing cocktails, view, ambiance and service. Overall I loved it.
It was my 50th birthday - we had a great table, the service was very attentive and they also bought me a plate with cakes for my birthday as well. Overall a great experience and I’d like to thank the team at Aqua for making this a great birthday experience
Bellissima giornata, splendida vista e ottimo servizio.
Decent value, considering the quality and quantity of food, ambience and views. Not cheap but worth it for a special occassion.
Great food lovely staff and very smart restaurant we went for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a great experience
