We aim to give you an unforgettable feeling when you taste our food, taking you to the various regions of Puglia, have you been? If not, then its time to go there ... of course, through us! Or feel free to visit our main branch in Bari, where we have had years of experience creating wonderful dishes, which we now bring to you in London.The most important ingredients that we use in creating our dishes are actually imported directly from local producers and farmers from the Puglia region.We use very little yeast in our dough for both our homemade bread and pizzas and the proving process is a minimum of 72 hours.We, Sassa & Sons, are bringing Italian style cooking to you using our grandma’s recipes, unchanged in every way.

It is conveniently located almost directly outside Farringdon (Elizabeth Line), and walking distance from Barbican. The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Even though there is no kids’ menu, it’s really family friendly.

                                                                                                    I arrived at 12.00 with a friend for lunch. We opened the door and walked to the front desk. The owner was standing there looking at his phone. He completely ignored us. Another couple then entered behind us. Eventually he decided to look up from his phone. I told him I had a reservation . Without really looking at us, no hello, nothing, he showed us to our table still with no real acknowledgement. We felt he was very rude. The food was nice but not very hot. The homemade lemonade tasted lovely but the glass was more than half ice and as it was not in a massive glass, I felt that at £8 it was very overpriced. We went there as it was close to the Barbican, but we wouldn't go back

                                                                                                    Visited here for a meal prior to a theatre visit at the Barbican, and so glad we did. The food was excellent as was the service. Considering this was early evening the restaurant was almost full and service remained great.

                                                                                                    We had a delicious meal. Both of us ordered different pizzas and both were wonderful. We were surprised by an enormous bread and olive tray each being delivered to us at the start of the meal. Service was attentive (there were a few trainees learning on the night we visited). I am glad we booked early (pre-theatre) as the restaurant filled up quickly and was quite lively by the time we left. We will definitely return and look forward to trying out lunch service. Thanks!

                                                                                                    The front of house and maybe owner who took our orders was very grumpy character. Barely got a word out of him in any of our interactions. Even when I paid not even a word of thanks. Kind of soured what was a good eating experience in a nice buzzy lunch spot .
