We aim to give you an unforgettable feeling when you taste our food, taking you to the various regions of Puglia, have you been? If not, then its time to go there ... of course, through us! Or feel free to visit our main branch in Bari, where we have had years of experience creating wonderful dishes, which we now bring to you in London. The most important ingredients that we use in creating our dishes are actually imported directly from local producers and farmers from the Puglia region. We use very little yeast in our dough for both our homemade bread and pizzas and the proving process is a minimum of 72 hours. We, Sassa & Sons, are bringing Italian style cooking to you using our grandma’s recipes, unchanged in every way.

Not been before. Had lunch there, which was very good. Really authentic Italian food. Would recommend
As the menu is so typical of the Italian region all the dishes are worth trying.
The pastas are top of the range
We will of course continue to frequent this hidden gem of a culinary treat.
We loved the food and restaurant. Drinks turned out to be rather expensive.
The place, atmosphere and food where really good.
It's great to have somewhere good to eat after a concert. We had a great authentic pizza served quickly at amazingly good value.
The overall experience is good and the quality of food is great. The tastes have changed a bit as they changed the menu for example the ravioli is completely different now and I enjoyed the previous one more. But I’m sure I’m gonna visit apulia again
Excellent food, wine and service.
It was all lovely thanks; the food the ambience and the sevice.
Been eating here for a long time. Food as authentic and excellent as ever but prices seem to be creeping up (esp. if you stray away from the lovely pizzas) - I suppose that's pandemic/Brexit etc.
Great to be back in Apulia. Consistently high quality food and lovely good value wines.
Always one of my favourite London restaurants and as usual it was great.
Great place to have lunch. Genuinely good food and a great atmosphere.
Lovely meal in the centre of London. Wine list was great!
As good as on our last visit, food ace as ever. A little pricey but definitely a step above your "regular" Italian joint.
Authentic Italian restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. Clearly popular as had a busy vibe despite our early table at 4.30pm. I would definitely go back and so convenient for the Barbican Centre and station
Delicious options, wonderful service, can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
Great food , but very pricey - especially when they add drinks that you didn’t have onto your bill! Unfortunately not noticed until we were on the tube and it rather dampened an otherwise pleasant evening.
Delicious food, warm atmosphere, great for a celebratory meal with friends and colleagues.
had a very nice team meal here, would definitely go again
Great service, food and atmosphere 😀👍
Staff very friendly and food delicious… will certainly return if in the area
Arrived with a reservation for a different day - they were lovely about it and managed to squeeze us in. Lovely food, good wine, lively but not loud atmosphere and quick and friendly service. Will go again.
May be better on a weekday not a Saturday lunch time in December both for food and atmosphere.
We were a party of seven - came for a pre-theatre dinner. The team were extremely efficient - serving us very quickly as we were a bit pressed for time! Very friendly and very helpful. The food was very good too. Overall - excellent Italian family restaurant experience. We plan to come back soon!
Excellent freshly-prepared food with first class ingredients and friendly service. Could not fault it
Ordered Pasta dishes which were extremely small portions and not very tasty.
Shame, we have eaten here before and really enjoyed it
Service was really appauling, waiters not attentive at all
Always a great place to eat with authentic food and a great wine list. So glad that they are not pandemic casualties!
Great to see this little genuine Italian restaurant being so successful - it was packed on a Tuesday lunchtime in a quiet corner of Smithfield. Despite being so busy the service remained pretty good and dishes were excellent.
Great service and nice place they were very attentive
Lovely and reliably good neighbourhood restaurant. Food always simple but delicious.
Great pizza with outstanding service, would definitely recommend been back a few times now.
I thought the food was delicious, service was good too. Will definitely be going back.
We had an early evening meal here as soon as they opened (5.30pm) ahead of going to the Barbican Centre (very convenient for that), so it was quiet; don’t know what it would be like later on. The food is Southern Italian, so good on seafood: I had a very good risotto di mare, and special of the day was spaghetti with langoustines. They also appear to do a good range of pizzas which were being enjoyed at the next table, as well as various pastas. Service was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our meal, and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a friendly unassuming place serving good Italian food and wine.
Very relaxed and friendly restaurant. Delicious food and a lovely glass of wine.
A great wine list, delicious choices of susbtantial dishes (beef cheeks), to pasta and pizza for all tastes, yet maintaining unique flavours of Apulia. Must become a regular customer!
Really great pasta dishes at a reasonable price, nice wine selection
We had a table of 9 which was a bit of a challenge perhaps but the service was a bit slow to take our drinks orders and food(arrived after 45mins)
But it’s still a good restaurant having eaten there a number of times .Significant price rises post COVID.?
The team was great. The food even better! Was a total random find but omg i will be back for sure!!
Some daft reviewers complained about the food being freshly cooked! Certainly not me. Excellent.Very Italian, Montalbano would love it
