The Montage us a lovely setting. Apex is a casual yet refined space. The service is warm and the food good. Being a luxury hotel, the prices are high but in keeping with similar Park City venues.

Outstanding meal with excellent service. Pricing is expensive but fair for the quality. Ambiance was diminished a bit by the noise from the adjacent cafe. Would suggest they close off the entry way from the hallway.

The waitress highly recommended the pork dish. It was served very overcooked. When I pointed it out they asked to redo it but I would have been eating my entree after everyone. They did provide dessert on the house. Not a great experience but probably an off night. Have dined at other Montage hotels and do not believe this dish would have been served at any of the others. When cut, it was obviously overcooked.

We visited the Apex at the Montage at Deer Valley while on vacation to celebrate my wife's birthday/belated Mother's Day dinner. All parking is valet with optional gratuity. Our reservation was relatively early, 6 pm, in the middle of summer so there were very few people there. They have a large selection of wine and a few different cocktail options. I have the Elk tomahawk cut and my wife have the the filet mignon. Both were great.

My server was terrible...came to the table to take my order, then i didn't see him until he brought my food and then didn't come back at all, and was nowhere to be found for awhile. I finished my food and my empty plate was sitting on my table for 15 minutes as I waited for him to stop by, collect it and provide my bill. It was shocking how poor the service was considering that I was one of 3 tables in the restaurant, he didn't even ask me how my meal was, ask if i needed a refill of coffee or water, etc. For a restaurant at a 5-star resort, I would have expected a lot more. Disappointed.

This restaurant is currently closed, however, reservations are being taken on OpenTable with no notifications that they Apex is closed for the shoulder season. Locally, I found out just before we went to the hotel for dinner.

For a nice dinner, Apex is not the a good recommendation. That is disappointing because the Montage resort is actually quite nice and has a lot of features and amenities that warrant a fine dining restaurant. Sadly, we were disappointed.

Lovely setting and wonderful food but the service was really suffering. The ladies at the next table even started going to the bar to get drinks because the table service was so slow and we were all looking at the drinks that we had ordered sitting on the bar counter waiting forever to be delivered to our tables.

We dined at Apex twice during our trip. The first visit (on a Wednesday) was all around fantastic . . . 5 stars across the board. We went back on Saturday and I think they just can't keep up with the weekend demand. Honestly the restaurant didn't even seem completely full, but the service was really sub par for what we paid. The food was still great but there were numerous service flubs compared to our first visit (inattentive waitstaff, water glasses empty for 10+ minutes, took forever to get our bill, etc... inexcusable for a place of this caliber). We probably won't return on weekend days for lunch again. Despite having a reservation, etc it was just a little disappointing for such an expensive lunch.

It was a lovely lunch spot if you want an elegant lunch exxperience while in Park City/Deer Valley. I was with a non-skiing friend. She could enjoy the comfort and upscale dining while watching the skiers, enjoying the scenery and feeling part of the mountain. Also excellent for people who enjoy leisurely abundant lunches while skiing. Apex has a sumptuous lunch buffet as well as a lovely luncheon menu. It was a very nice eperience

Good excellent Service they really tried, I enjoyed our server, but very overwhelmed. Manager doesn’t fit this restaurant. You don’t sit on your knees in a restaurant like this. That was a turn off. Most staff were great but need a leader, need direction. Time to time they looked lost. This is from a person that has owned his restaurant’s for over 30 years. I apply good feedbacks no one is perfect, we all learn from our mistakes. Food was amazing. Good job Chef. Young dude but very professional and loved what he does..

The service and food were amazing The wine was very good and not too overly priced But the Margarita was horrible. The normal bartender was not there. But I can’t blame the girl filling in. She was all alone for a packed/full restaurant and bar area. She really needed two more helpers for the amount of people she was serving. Hopefully the Montage will fix that problem and bring their bar up to their wonderful standards

I dined there three days this week wIth my husband while skiing. We really enjoyed our visits. The food and cocktails were terrific, and the atmosphere cozy and special. The first day we didn’t have a reservation, but we’re seated. The second day we were only allowed to sit at the bar. This was a little frustrating as there were many tables open when we arrived, and the bar tender was very busy making drinks for all of the tables before he could serve us. The next day I made a table reservation. We placed a drink order around 11:20 and were told the bar didn’t open until 11:30. No problem, until at 11:50 our waiter updated us that our drink would be another 10 minutes because the bartender was busy serving people at the bar. That did not feel fair, the drinks should be made in the order they were placed. Or I would have liked to be served faster one day or the other. Not because we were in a rush, but because it felt like we were waiting a long time to be served something both times. Otherwise great caring service, yummy pretty food and wonderful atmosphere. Will be back. Thank you!

Oysters weren't prepared properly with bits of shell and dirt needing picked out. Some of the shrimp cocktail had tails others didn't and a couple didn't have the vein/intestinal track removed. Shrimp seemed like they had been sitting in a fridge for days. Ordered $230 dry aged steak. I eat a lot of dry aged steak and have a dry ager at home. It was not trimmed well in the sense that you need to cut of all the really gamey/mold around the outside. Some pieces were inedible due to a bad trim, steak was cooked unevenly as well - some pieces ice cold others overcooked vs even medium rare. Kitchen is a mess. Used to love the Montage but won't be coming back for a while.

$74 steak had to be sent back to be properly cooked. Table next to us also sent steak back for the same reason. Service was good and it’s a lovely decor, but no bang for the buck at all. For the price I expect much more.

There was absolutely nothing special about dinner. Whereas, when I visit other luxury resorts I feel welcomed , pampered, and enjoy a true and full dinning experience. The waiter was nice and the bread was good. The Elk was cooked well, exactly as we had asked. The portion was small however for the price. The pear and arugula salad tasted like nothing but arugula and cheese. It wasn’t dressed and there were two thinly sliced pears and only four or five small figs. Bland at best. Expected more for the cost and the establishment.
