We had a wonderful time..food was wonderful and the wait staff attentive and enthusiastic. We will definently be back.
Food was great! All the appetizers and entrees were brought out fast, hot and tasty!
Great food and service. Friendly, helpful staff.
Food was phenomenal, service was superb.
We will be back often.
Our server was working his first day there, but he was darling and we all celebrated a delightful birthday meal for our 22 year old who was in the mood for authentic Italian food. We had a party of 5, all ordered different entrees and they were all delicious. The Brussels sprout appetizer was also delicious. We had a very nice evening and enjoyed ourselves.
As good as I remember. Great food and wine, Glad to see things getting back to "normal"
Service was awesome and food was even better! Highly recommend!
Wonderful restaurant; excellent food, excellent service, beautiful ambiance!
Best Italian food in San Diego
Would have given a 5 star, but we had a reservation for outdoor seating which they did not honor, so we ate inside.
One of our favorite places to eat, a little east county gem.
Extremely friendly service and delicious food Strong performance at a difficult time (Mother’s Day weekend)
We have been here several times, and have always loved the food and the service. It can get a little loud in there, but not loud enough to keep you from having a nice conversation with the people at your table. We will definitely going back again in the future.
Second time here in a month. Food is terrific, wait staff superb, wine choices plentiful, ambiance is local.
Been here several times for the calamari, lasagna and butternut squash ravioli. Best italian food in eastern san diego and a neighborhood gem.
This is a favorite restaurant. Delicious and always a fun place to visit.
Everything was amazing
I had the penne & it was really salty but the risotto was amazing!!! 🎉🎉
This is a go to Italian place for us. We also get great service and the food is excellent. So glad that this local establishment has weathered the pandemic and came through the other side.
Loud for our preference and how few other people were in there. One waitress would not stop talking. Ordered the pasta with Italian sausage, came out in more of a soup look. Much to watery. After draining lots of excess from the plate, it tasted great and was served hot. Expensive for how little we got, but much better than trying to wait an hour for a spot at Olive Garden.
Love this neighborhood gem. Not your average Spaghetti and pizza place. Really delicious food and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Nice to see people back and enjoying the food and drink. Great Food and Service!
Never disappoints! Great foods and service.
Had not dined here in 8 months or so. Was glad to see that, even after a year of Covid, the food was as outstanding as always. You can never go wrong with the specials. Service was attentive, yet not rushed.
Always good food when they have the full menu. great atmosphere and great service too
Outstanding food and service
It was wonderful to once again eat out at one of our favorite restaurants.
With all of the rave reviews we were looking forward to home made pasta and all around fresh food experience-it was the opposite. Our server was outstanding even though she was slammed over and over again with new tables by (whom I assume) was the owner. He seemed to have zero concern for her and the wave of people he kept seating in her section (which until a 2nd server arrived was the entire inside) and only 1 time did he attempt to pitch in or bus a table, or poor a drink. All the while she was charming, fast as heck, and really loved her job-he's one lucky boss.
My pumpkin ravioli was not good at all. The pasta edges were chewy and I swear it was sprinkled with raw sugar on top. It was also scalding hot which indicates to me that it was heated very quickly-I didn't finish it. My husband had the crab pappardelle and it did not seem fresh either.
Super bummed, we ere hoping that this would become a new favorite but alas it wont be.
One of my favorite places. The food is simply perfect, the wine list is long, the service is always good (great when compared to a comparable size/price point restaurant), and the place itself is very comfortable. Literally not a single complaint except they are sometimes running behind because all their patrons want reservations and then never want to leave because it is such a great place. So glad we found this restaurant.
We went for restaurant week, and the menu was delicious. I look forward to returning to try other items! The service was quick and efficient, but not rushed, and everyone was very friendly.
The waiter was absolutely fantastic. Especially because they were packed.
Visited as part of restaurant week. Everything we had was delicious (meatballs, Brussels sprout apps and the salmon risotto and short rib dinners). Service was fantastic. Sat inside, a little worm until the ac kicked on. Otherwise fantastic find. Not close but will keep in mind for great Italian food.
Amazing food! Our waitress was great, but busboy was too intrusive- made us feel rushed. We knew there was a time limit due to Covid for the table, but he made it feel rushed- he was picking up items from table every few minutes and hovering.
Pretty good food, drink and service.
we have enjoyed SD restaurant week dinner but will try normal menu soon later!
We had a delightful dinner with friends with whom we were renewing acquaintance. The food was excellent.
We had the restaurant week special . Each of us had a different appetizer, entre and dessert. OMGOSH SENSATIONAL. We will be back . 6 stars if we could give them
The indoor dining was filled to capacity for Restaurant Week, making it very busy and noisy. Our waiter tried very hard, but there were a couple of little slipups -pre-drink brought with the dinner, charged for the wrong wine for the 2nd glass - nothing big. The meatballs, brussels sprouts, mussels, salmon, and tiramisu were very good. My crab pappardelle was nothing special. Noted the outside dining was pleasantly quiet, but chilly.
The only thing I didn’t like was trying to have a conversation with my friend and having the bus boy trying to clear the table repeatedly. I told him once to stop but he kept on interrupting
Was celebrating a friend's birthday. We had a nice meal, but when our time was up (I know our reservation was 5:30-7), the owner/manager came to our table, slammed his hand down and said "I need this table". That was RUDE. I realize with COVID restrictions need to be adhered to, but he could have been kinder. I will not be returning.
