Since every thing is so different they did a fantastic job to make our dinner relaxing.
that was our first time out in a over a year. Food was great I was just sorry no steam clams which are my favorite, but oh well all was good.
Service was extremely slow. We waved down people more than once. Lost our waiter for extended periods.
Terrible service. Had to ask the busser to bring my drink after the food arrived. Water never refilled. Unsure if this service was the same for other patrons, or just certain ones...
Wind from marina door was VERY cold and open too long.
Great food and service. Fair prices. Wonderful waterfront setting. Free parking.
Date night & we were seated by the window but by the bar so it was loud with bartender making drinks, clearing glasses etc.
Server was young and when food came he asked if we wanted ground pepper but did the pepper for my boyfriend first vs myself as the lady of the table.
Had to ask for free bread plate and butter. Why?
Fish was very greasy.
The view on the outside patio is unbeatable!
Delicious food, superb drinks, epic views!
Great food and service, waiter was very attentive. Nice view from the table we hD
Always great food and great drinks at Anthony’s. It’s our favorite place to go.
It was our first meal in a restaurant since COVID began. We came from three different cities to celebrate my sister's 75th birthday. We took the early sunset dinner. The sailboats were out and it was a spectacular view.
We wanted to sit outdoors and the heated tent was perfect! Our server and the food was very good as always at Anthony's made safe by the quiet environment.
Sunset dinner is a great value for good seafood dinner with a very nice view.
Always Great!! Sunset!! Great Service!! Surrounded by Happy Customer Chatter!!
The food was very Good. Exceptional Birthday Dinner!
Ambiance, food, view, and service - perfect 5.0! What more could you ask for.
My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary last night at Anthony's Home Port in Des Moines, WA. it was kind of magical. Great food, great service, great sunset. great atmosphere.
We had a great dinner!
What I enjoy about Anthony’s Homeport Des Moines is the ambiance is incredible. The restaurant is beautiful and the views are spectacular. The food is very high quality and have a very nice presentation. Very delicious. The several times I have been there, the service has always been great. Our servers are always friendly and helpful if we have questions of any sort.
Great place for very good seafood. We will be returning soon
They don’t offer baked potatoes but the service was beautiful and we had a great time enjoying the atmosphere and the other diners stopped to chat as well! We were happy to be back to dining in!
This is a great restaurant to celebrate any occasion or have an excellent meal. My wife ordered the halibut and I ordered the black cod. Both were cooked to perfection and had sides that complimented the entree. We both said we need to "come back" more quickly.
You can't beat the location, the food or the service, a great place for a celebration or dining out with friends.
We had a terrific table for 2 in a corner with big windows. The blueberry coffee cake was so yummy. Service was very efficient and fast.
Service and view was great! Food was just okay...but beautifully presented.
Excellent food and service. We were safely spaced. The entire staff were wearing masks correctly. Friendly but not overly attentive.
Highly recommend this location for an outstanding experience.
The food was very good, service as well. Our first dining out post pandemic. We were not disappointed. Everything from checking in, to dining was excellent. Met with a smile and ended with a smile.
Great visit with a great view.
The waitress was phenomenal however the staff at the entrance greeting the customers was not the most welcoming. Definitely can do alot better!!!! Waitress serving, lady was awesome.
Every time we go to this Anthony’s in Des Moines, the front desk receptionists are rude and flip. It is as if we are bothering them as we walk up. We make reservations and they don’t great us or say it will be 5 mins so pleas take a seat. They just say ‘go take a seat’ while they stare at the computer with all the other 10 people waiting. What is the point of making a reservation and be treated that way? And it isn’t the first time.
What brings me back is that your wait staff are solid and on this evening our waitress was superb! Please train your first impression staff how to genuinely welcome your guests.
Unfortunately it seemed my food had been prepared much earlier than served. We were there for the Sunset dinner and ordered right at 5:30 so that might be the problem....we received the last dinners fixed for that night. I had the cod and it was super dry
Overall, I love Anthony’s and know the struggle lately / you will be back as soon as things get normal.
Faithful customer
Oyster stew is fantastic, also had the fried oyster Caesar salad. Halibut and chips clean and delicious! Service very attentive, without being bothersome.
We had a great dinner as usual. Also, the view and service were fantastic.
Great food, great service and great view. A little pricey, but well worth it. Will make this a new favorite dining spot. Oh, and there early bird 3 course special is a real deal.
wonderful service food was amazing I would go there agaon
Our waitress was excellent and our table was by the waterfront Very nice
We very disappointed in the menu selections. Most of the selections were dinner size and were pricey. The oyster stew was good. We hope you keep it on the menu.
met my cousin there for lunch
We sat in the bar for lunch. View of the Marina and water was amazing on a sunny day! Service was excellent, very personable staff. Had the halibut & chips with an Asian slaw, I’d definitely get it again.
Birthday dinner. They sat us early at a wonderful table. Service was excellent and the food was amazing.
We had such a wonderful dinner! We never felt rushed during our meal. I had crab cakes that were filled mostly with crab and not fillers. Oyster stew was creamy and flavorful! Looking forward to trying more food!
We LOVE Anthony's yet this time was 'meah'. 2 of the cocktails we ordered we could not get due to lack of ingredients. The seafood menu was lackluster and small. The whole menu lacked the old Anthony's luster. Basically, I would say each of our party simply 'settled' for what the pickings were. I am a seafood person for sure but I was not inspired by the offerings and decided to go with steak. "I'll have the fillet please" but not, not that either they did not have it. Reluctantly I ordered the 'other' steak. It seemed more med-well than med-rare doubtless due to the fact that there was a load of well done all around the edges with only a little med-rare in the middle (kinda rookie). But wait, it was DRY. What!? Did they press all the juices out of it? I got steak because I have had some of the BEST STEAK at ANTONY's! What is wrong guys? Break my heart why don't 'cha. Dessert: No creativity, nothing that says "Pop-Wow". Please excuse me but I expect Anthony's to be a memorable pleasure as it always used to be. Some friends asked me about going and I could not lie it's my reputation after all. Please come back Anthony's we miss you!
