   Food was wonderful as always. We were seated promptly and served promptly as well. A sunny June Sunday eve brought many people out so restaurant was crowded and somewhat noisy. We were dining early and were surrounded by families with children who tend to be a bit on the noisy side. Business is always good at Anthony's and we are happy for that so the crowd and noise should be expected. A good evening with good company and good food was enjoyed!! We will be back.

   This restaurant seems to be really struggling. They were very understaffed; the quality of the food was average at best. The clam chowder was very bland, steamed clams did not seem fresh and the bar area was very messy. Lots of dirty dishes sitting around long after diners left and in one area of the bar it looked like a strawberry daquiri blew up and was splashed on the wall. I really try to look on the positive side of a dining experience but the only one here is the great view.

   My wife and I have not been here for 4 years now. Dined on the Sunset menu and we both really enjoyed the meal and service. We made reservations for 4:30, were seated at a great table at the window. 5 PM the place filled up with other people wanting the Sunset menu. We will be back.

   Friendly and reliable service with a great view of the marina, perfect for introducing visitors to Des Moines. Food is solid for the most part, a bit pricey but still I think worth it for the experience. Weekday sunset menu and Sunday brunch are the best deal.

    Waitress was pleasant and food was delicious. Nice window for sunset view. Husband's birthday and he really liked the River Salmon

    Quite honestly I was disappointed in the food and the service The food was just ok and not what I’ve been accustomed to at AHP The service was very slow and somewhat forgetful several times, again not what I’d expect at AHP As I said disappointed as it was my daughter college graduation dinner.

    As usual, the food was outstanding!! Unfortunately, our server, Shaun, was only at our table to take our order...after that, we NEVER saw him! I even had to go to the reception desk and ask for our bill! As we were preparing to leave, he appeared giving the explanation that he had a big order to take care of...EXCUSE ME, but your job is to WAIT ON CUSTOMERS! Anthony's needs to address this issue if any other customers service is lacking due to staff "covering" in the kitchen!!

    My wife and I have visited this restaurant quite a few times in the last year. The service is always outstanding. The food is fresh and delicious and of course the view is spectacular. I would highly recommend that you put this on your "must go to" list of restaurants.

    Reservation time was not met. Was seating people without reservation ahead of us. Was seated about 25 minutes after reservation time. When we were seated we put in a table in the back when other nicer tables were open by the windows. Overall the area we were seated in was very tight and uncomfortable. Felt like we were second class people at this restaurant.

    Anthony's is normally consistently good but missed the mark a little this visit. I was very much looking forward to have my first Copper River Salmon of the season and they featured it prepared the alder planked way with their delicious sauce. Unfortunately, what we received was dry and kind of tasteless. Everything else was fine but for $58 I had higher expectations.

    Everything was wonderful, including my complimentary creme brulee for my Birthday which is a personel favorite. Glad to be able to share a special memory with a loved one who won't be here forever. One our our favorties due to the excellent fried oysters we always have.

    Ugh, what has happened to Anthony's? We used to go for amazing seafood, but since Covid, you have lost your touch. The other night I ordered the Salmon Salad. It was simply chopped lettuce with an oil-type dressing, and a piece of salmon on top. That's it. Nothing else. Just lettuce and salmon. I would have thought there'd be more to the salad. But two ingredients? Bland, bland, bland. Sad to say, I think that was my last visit to Anthony's.

    Water was spilled on one of us and got some personal items very wet. Scampi was tough and rubbery. Halibut was tepid when it arrived to the table. Server was too busy for us. Took 30 mins to get a glass of water refilled and then he spilt it onto one of us. No apology or anything. Not a great experience

    Great crabcakes! In halibut and chips, chips needed to be replaced, as they were cold and limp, but fried halibut was great. Can't ask for a better view.

    Anthony’s has the best pan fried oysters in the area. The rice pilaf is really good as well. Excellent service and great view.

    The server need to smile and welcoming to the people she is serving. She did not introduce herself so we do not know her name. Her service was good though, but she needs to loosen up a little bit.

    I had the Halibut, it was cooked perfect. My daughter had the steak and scampi prawns. It was cooked the way she likes it and didn't need any kind of sauce to dip it in! The staff was wonderful!

    Food was great, server was horrible. We were asked to move from our table that we were seated at to accommodate a large party that was coming in, despite our reservation. Experience has left me not wanting to ever dine at Anthony’s again in Des Moines again!

    We were there the Saturday before Mother's Day, so it was quite busy. However, except for the slower bar order, the service and quality were not affected. A delicious meal and beautiful view made for a very pleasant lunch.

    We had a 12:15pm reservation and were told we would have to wait a few minutes to be seated, after several minutes I checked with the hostess and was told again it would be a few minutes as 2 tables were being cleared. At 12:45pm after checking in a final time we were told our table had been mistakenly given to another party. We ended up going to another restaurant without a reservation so by the time we finished dining we had missed a show we had tickets for. I have benn to this restaurant several times and this was the second time there was an issue with service. This is the most unflattering review I have ever given a restaurant

    Bad traffic getting there. Table was kept for us. Beautiful view. Great Service. Great dinner! Other than Friday traffic, what more can you ask for?
