The crispy flounder and the almond basket were awesome! This was the special birthday dinner that I had hoped it would be. Would definitely recommend. Enjoy!

Anson’s may not be the fine dining experience it used to be but the food & service is exceptional. It’s an old-school experience from an establishment that’s been there for decades and endured. I recommend it highly.

We had a fabulous evening!! Our first visit back post-devastating fire (I have no excuse for the long time lapse) and our entire experience couldn’t have been better! Sadly, I can’t remember our wonderful waiter’s name, only that he hailed from Buffalo? The three of us had a perfect corner table upstairs, where we shared the crispy Brussels sprouts and beet salad as starters. For a main meal two of us had the more than amazing crispy flounder and the third had the scallops. All were simply delicious!! We look forward to coming back again soon!!

Ansons has delicious food and a great ambiance (no loud noise). The scallops are to die for! Our waitress worked hard to bring us what we wanted. We had a wonderful experience.

Michael greeted us at the door and was personable and thanked us for coming in. We had a fun, knowledgeable server, KJ, who made great recommendations. My husband enjoyed the oyster appetizer and the whole flounder entreé. I ordered the lobster rigatoni (house made pasta) and devoured every bite. Anson's has always been one of our favorite restaurants and did not disappoint!

We ate here last night for our 45th anniversary, and couldn't have been more pleased with our evening. KJ, our waitress, was enthusiastic about being part of our celebration and went out of her way to ensure that everything was perfect - which it was. We ate upstairs where it was more quiet and the dining room was gorgeous with a romantic ambience. We ordered the filets which were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for a special occasion or date night!

The food was great, my wife had the grouper and I had the Halibut, we were both very happy with the presentation and the flavors. They have a large selection of wines to satisfy every taste. The baked oyster appetizer was really good. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be recommending this restaurant to our friends.

As always, Anson knocks it out of the park. From start to finish, you are treated like family. The food is some of THE BEST in Charleston. Phil and Mike take sure great care of everyone. It is our go-to spot and will remain so forever.

The casual atmosphere, impeccable service complemented our meals very nicely. The entrees have very exotic garnishing and seasoning that may limit choices initially but I tried the apricot coated fried whole flounder and found it to be delightful. Anson's will deliver an enjoyable dining experience and should be considered for Charleston visitors.
