Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.

Great brunch as always
We really enjoyed Anis last Sunday and found sitting in the Bar and being taken car of by Mary was just superb. Food and drink were outstanding, but the atmosphere and particularly the service back in the bar... with its intimacy and unique character... added greatly to the experience.
We had the bread, escargot, prosciutto salad for apps. Steak Frites and Tortelloni et Beef for dinners. All were above my expectations. Espresso was one of the best in Atlanta. We will return. Great French food!!
Only wish all the employees wore masks and the tables were very close together.
Food ok but not wow! Very limited menu. I had the steak (hanger) which is the most economical the least desirable cut. Felt very rushed which seemed to be by design so as to get a second sitting in for the evening. Party of four/ 3 courses/ 2 drinks & coffee and we were seated and back in the car in 80 mins. Good bread on seating would have been nice but that slows things down somewhat. I guess slow service is worse but there is a sweet spot. Probably won’t go again which is not to say I had a bad time but for a few $ more could make more of an evening of it elsewhere.
Anis is always welcoming to us and our two dogs. The restaurant has become a regular spot for our family to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Consistently wonderful. We’ve eaten here four times on two trips to Atlanta. The staff is friendly and professional while keeping the experience welcoming and fun. Food is marvelous. We tried almost everything and it’s all superb. Nothing precious or pretentious but fine food prepared perfectly every time. The ambiance is quirky and comfortable and the atmosphere has the right energy level. We will be back again and again.
A nice lunch with a colleague - she wanted French, so what else, but Anis. Outdoor seating, light lunch, dessert, good conversation about French rivers, books, books, and books. Anis is always a best option.
One of our favorite restaurants. But a little disappointing they served our entree lunch salads before we finished our soup (first course). Waiter just moved our soup bowls so that entree salads were crowded on to the table. He didn’t even ask if we wanted to wait a few minutes and finish our soup first. I had my soup spoon in my hand and he pushed the salad plate next to it.
He was a young waiter, we guessed he just hadn’t been trained. We also felt they were pushing fast luncheon service to turn the table.
It’s a more relaxed atmosphere at dinner vs lunch.
A great place. Fantastic atmosphere. Amazing food. Service is a little slow even for a restaurant where you go to enjoy your company.
We love Anise!
It's all about that patio, a nice outdoor space, great for al fresco
Bread basket always filled
Best calamari in the city
Good prices for wine
Anis is my go-to place for a great, casual lunch with friends. Makes you feel like you have escaped from the city and gotten away to Provence. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Service is very friendly. Lovely covered outdoor seating.
The hostess was extremely rude and made us feel very unwelcome. We were traveling and wanted to have lunch everyday there but we decided not to do that since they can’t hire a hostess that can greet the guest and make them feel welcomed
The hostess who was hosting on Monday/27th at 11 am was very rude to us and basically throw the menus on the table.
But the service from the waitress and rest was great.
Excellent dinner. Every course was very good; very good wine selection. Cozy ambience of an older house.
Great bartender and great waitress.
I hadn’t eaten here in 15 years, and it was as great as I remember it. It’s fantastic.
We were celebrating my friend’s birthday! We chose outside and it was a little warm but I love the ambiance! I can always count on the quality of the food and the service!
Great brunch spot and one my daughter loves to go to when she visits us!
best value go to French restaurant in Buckhead....
It’s such a lovely restaurant and an amazing experience. We really enjoyed every detail from having a drink at the bar and then sitting at our outdoor table.
Ambiance was great but food was average. Wait staff was very nice but initial person who brought our water was rude when we asked for lemon.
Anis is a favorite place. We had dinner with close family and had such a good time catching up over great food and wine, while seeing many old friends at nearby tables.
First time eating there, great experience! Will come back and bring people with me!!
I love coming here for brunch. Have a glass of Kir Royale and get a Croque Monsieur or Madame.
Do yourself a favor and get a table on the patio.
Salmon is always amazing. Nutella Crepes were also wonderful.
Very nice place for brunch. On another visit the mussels were divine.
A bit of France in the city! Parfait! We always enjoy! The food is delicious and it’s a lovely experience! Always leave planning our next occasion!
Food and wine were delicious. Service could have been better (I am sympathetic to the fact that the place was busy and everyone is struggling with getting staff) as our main course arrived before we had finished our salad. So, felt a bit rushed. The folks working there were very nice and attentive, but clearly stretched.
Great food, service and atmosphere! This restaurant is absolutely amazing!
I have eaten at Anise Bistro for over 15 years. It was packed the two days I ate there. So to say they are being supported during any adversity would be an accurate assessment. I also have to say I ate in at least three other resturants as well as have for many years. So now I am a little disappointed that Anise is charging for bread at their table. This is a bit aggravating and I believe they are taking advantage of their patrons. In my stay in atlanta as said I ate in at least 4-5 other resturants which I have frequented for 15 years ans no one is doing that. So that needs to go back to their previous practice of doing that complimentary or folks like myself will find other options.
I was very happy with our waiter and the food was excellent. I will be coming back frequently. Joanne Tally
This was my first experience at Anis and it was quite disappointing. I don’t plan to come again - the service was not great, the calamari tasted like they came out of a Costco freezer, the half chicken was inedible due to being extremely dry, the dessert sampler was nothing to write home about, and the overall plate cleanliness and food presentation definitely left much to be desired. My friend did enjoy her fish but couldn’t get the beverage she wanted because the espresso machine needed service.
It was so loud we could barely talk. The halibut was perfect, but the beet "salad" wasn't a salad at all. It was chopped up beets stuck under the fish. Both my associate and I ended up ordering a side green salad, which didn't have any dressing, so we had to order dressing, to mix in ourselves.
Wonderful to be back to Anis! Great ambience, great food and the service was timely and professional. This is as close as you will get to the Champs-Elysees in Buckhead. Gather up from friends have a lovey experience on the patio or inside.
A wonderful place!
Our waiter was funny and patient. It was a ladies birthday lunch and we were having a great time!
