We discovered this restaurant on a business trip to Houston and decided to go back on our next visit with our project team because we loved it so much. Our next visit did not disappoint and we will continue to go back.
Andalucia was perfect for a brief birthday lunch for three ladies. We enjoyed a big pitcher of Sangria and shared three items. Plenty of food for us, but then the charming waitress brought out a gratis slice of tres leches cake with three spoons. Outstanding items: patatas bravas, (just cubes of potato, fried and seasoned with a little sauce) simple, but perfect appetizer. and the cake. Parking? We did find a meter on the street, but you'd be wise to call the restaurant to find out what to do.
My wife and I had the 6 tapas option. The best tapa was the ox tail by far. The rest were ok. The drinks were spot on. What made the dinner was the our waiter Freddy. Freddy did great job and was friendly and funny.
We always eat at Andalucia before concerts (this time was the Eagles!) and it is excellent every time!
This place was very average and very loud. This without any performers. The seating was hard and uncomfortable. The service was at best average. We had to wait a while for things and they were not even that busy. Just a poor facsimile of Spanish tapas quinine. We ate there prior to an event at Toyota Center. Go to the House of Blues for a burger instead.
Andalucia is great! We go there for the flamenco music and excellent tapas. The service is first class.
We celebrated a birthday here. The staff was very attentive, and treated us very well. The food was delicious, and there was a band on Friday night. We enjoyed the music! We were already talking about what we would order when we went back.
Freddy is one is the best hosts we have run into ! Knows his food and loves sharing his passion ... great time , great food
They rushed us at the door telling us we have limited time to sit which was not professional. We got ignored with the pre appetizers, it seems the place was understaffed. Otherwise, our waitress was great, not her fault the restaurant was rushing people out. The food was sub-par , when we got the paella, the shells were crushed, my wife broke her tooth and when we complained to the waitress, she said she would address it but never did. My wife got a filling. I love the place, but the bad service and rush cooking were unwarranted.
Our server was nothing short from amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name but he always made sure our needs were assisted with and that the food was to our standards. Was a great place for the holidays with your significant other and the flamenco dancing was gorgeous. Really enjoyed my dinner here.
Great service, excellent food.
Excellent food with with a true "Spanish Flair"! A very attentive wait staff!
Food and service were excellent! You need to check this place out. You’ll be happy you did.
The show was fantastic and the food delish!!You definitely need to make reservations cause the place is packed and no extra seating. Overall, night was a wonderful experience......
Some of the food was good and some of it not so good. I suggest skipping the Croquetas as they were horrendous and just disappointing. They had a dense bread-like quality to them that indicated to me that they are a frozen item that is bought from a distributor. Croquetas should never have a bread-like quality to them. Authentic Croquetas from Spain are made from a béchamel that when rolled in breadcrumbs and fried leaves a crispy exterior and a creamy interior, two qualities that were completely missing from this restaurant's croquetas. These could easily be made in house and if they are it is unfortunate.
Another food item I suggest skipping is the Tortilla Española. The presentation is spot on but when it hit the table it was stone cold. It was also very firm, very dry, and drastically under-seasoned. The alioli should complement the dish but instead had to be used to smother the tortilla to add any hint of seasoning. Admittedly, a tortilla de patata is a dish that is very hard to execute well and that is something this restaurant proves.
Outside of those two food items, the food was good. I recommend the Mejillones Al Jerez, the Gambas al Ajillo, and the Alitas de Pollo. The Serrano y Manchego was great with the apple slices provided but the portion provided was much to small to justify the price.
Incredible food and great service. The band was super entertaining and not overly loud. The seating felt a tad cramped but the service, food, and value more than made up for it. An absolute recommendation from us, we'll definitely be back.
Very friendly staff members. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Great experience!
The service was 5-star - they took such good care of our party offering suggestions and making sure everyone had something they enjoyed.
great atmosphere. great food. excellent service. we ordered a bunch of appetizers and they were all tasty. the goat cheese balls and stuffed dates were YUM
New Year’s Eve
Great music!! Great cultural experience!! Food needed a little love, but was still good.
I went to the restaurant because I wanted to eat Spanish food and hear flamenco music. At the door I was told that although our reservation was for 6 (the only one available online) and the music would not start until 8, we could wait if we wanted. We did and it was worth it: the music was out of this world great. And the food was good. But it became clear that either we had not bought enough to please the manager and waiter or for some other reason they did not want us to stay. The manager let it be known that they usually only allowed people to stay for 2 hours but she was making an exception for us. Then as I sat mesmerized by the music, she came to ask in none too friendly a fashion for a menu I had asked to be left at the table in case we wanted to order more than the two dishes we had asked for. The waiter, to whom I had indicated I might want a dessert. But he never came to ask what my order might be and more or less ignored us. Admittedly, the restaurant was extremely busy once the music began. So I wouldn’t have minded the waiter forgetting about us if he and the manager had made a little effort to be friendly once the music started.
Great location along with a good selection of different types of Tapas makes this a good choice on Spanish food! Patatas bravas con chorizo was really good as well as the bean soup! Service was attentive and the manager asked us several times his was everything.
I enjoyed my first ever visit to Andalucia Tapas. The atmosphere was great and energetic. The staff and performers were all very pleasant.
Went here for a blind date and unfortunately got stood up. No matter, the staff were great, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was really nice. I'll be back.
Celebrando el amor
We were celebrating my sister's birthday so we were a large group. Our server was outstanding and the tapas, paella and drinks were the best. We fell in love with the entertainment, the Spanish Flamenco dancers were friendly and came to our table to chat with us and the music was the best. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you to the Andalucia staff for providing us with such memorable times.
We had a wonderful evening at Adalucia. Our group shared a tapas platter and some drinks. We were also treated to live music with a flamenco dancer. Great time!
Absolutely delicious food, and our waiter gave us some wonderful recommendations. Best restaurant we’ve been to in a long time, and we will definitely come back. I gave only 4 stars for ambiance because of the big screen TV in the dining room. I hate having a TV pointed at me while I’m eating, but it seems like more and more restaurants think they have to have them. The rest of the decor was lovely ... it would’ve been perfect if they kept the TV in the bar.
Loved it as always
Disappointed- food was not as good as I expected - not very busy
I won’t ever go back to this restaurant. They didn’t have my table ready as I requested it. The manager told me that the event organizers also reserved the tables base on the number of tickets bought per person(I only had two tickets with me and I reserved a table for 6 people whom had their own tickets) that was a nightmare. In the end, I made my own decision and sat on the table that was in front of the stage just like I requested it. The waitress wouldn’t assist me because he/she believed that it wasn’t his/her job to serve the table were I was seated. Unbelievable! Considering that I was also accompanied with my 3 years old baby, I raised my hand and asked if someone was going to help our table, the 5 waitress standing by the cashier turned their head to look at each others, and wouldn’t say anything. After some time someone approached the table and came to asked what did we needed. I requested the menu and some water for both of us. Few minutes later my friends arrive and sat with us. The experience was a nightmare. The restaurant needs to respect the reservations made on this website.
I wish it was not as loud as it was, but it was fun. It would be great that tables for 2 had the seats closer to each other since it is so loud is hard to have a conversation, we would have to wait until the live music breaks.
I was not expecting much from the food but the seafood paella impressed me.
What stood up the most was the service, our waitress Gaby was excellent!
I love this restaurant but this time the food was dry and over cooked.
All of the platters were good, but the lamb was slightly overcooked. Great professional staff.
Amazing food and a wonderful Flamenco performance. Loved it and be back.
Excelente! Gracias a todos por hacernos pasar un gran rato!
Wonderful food, well spiced, great textures, great service and ambiance. Highly recommended!
Great food, service and ambience. The noise level is high so don't expect to have long conversations
It was my 39th Birthday. I wanted a very special dinner with my loved ones.
