Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar
A/C very bad. The food maybe 2 star. Need Supervisor for Kitchen and Services.
Andalucia food was good specifically the octopus, veal tongue, ox tail and escargot. My only complaint is that the restaurant was super warm, this is the second time I have been there and it felt like the air conditioning was not working. Other than that, the service and food was good.
Everything was delicious! We loved the Belly Dancer and the live Band. The only issue was that it was hot. I mean, I was wearing a thin skimpy top and still managed to sweat. Please work on the air conditioning please.
Nice place, good food, awesome music, but the A/C was not working causing the place to feel like an oven - appears to be a long term issue as it stems from issue w/ landlord.
Food was good and very good variety. Air conditioning was not working which made things a bit uncomfortable. The seafood in the paella was overcooked which made the squid rubbery.
One year wedding anniversary
Used to really enjoy dinning here but no air conditioning made it hard to enjoy the food
During reservation this information should have been given
We were so excited to visit Andalucía for Tapas, Sangria & Flamenco Entertainment. Latter two were excellent, while tapas were average. Would recommend only in cold months or when their A/C is repaired. It was miserably hot during our visit and restaurant was packed.
So I read the other reviews and yes it does get a little hot in the restaurant, but the food and live dancing makes you forget about it all!!! The food is outstanding!! The dancers and the music gets you going just like back in Spain! So wear some shorts and a light shirt for men and the women out there just wear our short dress in case you get picked up for dancing!! Would recommend for everyone to go at least once to see if they like it. If not there is a bar around the corner that servers the same oh same oh stuff that would be great for you.
Lunch Express is the best deal in town!
Excellent service. Good food and good menu. Decor outdated. Air conditioning insufficient. Dining room in July was uncomfortably warm. If having problem with A/C, should have told us upon arrival.
This was our first visit. The food and service was great. The only issue I have is it was very hot inside. I’m not sure if the a/c was not working and this was a one off or it is like that all the time. This made the night not as great.
A/C was not working on 7/17 during dinner and the temperature was uncomfortable. I do not recommend the Paella de Mariscos. It was extremely fishy and chewy. Overall not very appetizing; especially for the price! Stick with the hot and cold tapas. They were excellent.
Prices a little high for tapas if not sitting at bar. Spent more than 100& for tapas with grand children. Happy hour prices need to be extended throughout restaurant
Restaurant was very hot and air conditioning was inadequate. Everything else was outstanding.
Excellent tapas. Great service.
The food was delicious. The service was good. The music was great . Inside was very warm the Air conditioning was not working, I had to ask waitress if AC was working and she said No.
delicious, fun and reasonable. Loved the Sangria and the small plates. I will have to back many times to try all the other dishes. Can't wait!
Nice experience but would have been better had their air conditioner been working.
It was very loud. Descriptions of the items on the menu were not clear.
Their AC was out which made for a uncomfortable setting, and as more people came in, the heat increased and the noise level escalated to very loud.
The Margaritas were awful, however, the server was wonderful-as was the food! We ordered six tapas for the table & all four of us enjoyed them- very tasty!
Andalucía is a wonderful restaurant with good ambiance and great entertainment. It was a great experience with two glaring issues... the air conditioning is not working and the restaurant is quite warm inside, especially during these summer months and it is very loud inside when the band is playing, it was quite difficult to have conversation with people across the table when the band was playing.
I loved everything about the restaurant, the food and ambiance were great. The service was exceptional. My only suggestion would be to change the goat cheese option on the menu. We ordered a plate and it was literally just enough cheese for one bite. I understand it is tapas but it was still not sufficient.
We'll definitely be back!
Great food. Great ambience. Can’t wait to go back!
My sister and I wanted to have a bite or two before a show at the House of Blues and this was perfectly located right around the corner. It was still pretty early (around 5:30PM) so it was a bit quiet still.
We were lucky enough to have hit the HH window, so we had great prices on the hot tapas we got (empanadillas, sausage, chicken skewer and calamari -- $4 each!) and drinks (pitcher of sangria - $20, and 2 glasses of house wine $4 each). So the prices were great and the food tasty! I think the one complaint my sister had -- which was just a matter of preference, really -- was that the sauce on the spinach empanadilla was unexpectedly sweet. We also ordered the delicious Valenciana paella, which had generous portions of seafood and meat in it.
Our server was great -- ninja refilled our sangria so we never had an empty glass; checked on us just enough and was knowledgeable and really pleasant.
All in all, great start to our evening and can't wait to go back again!
Superb service, along with absolutely outstanding food. A wonderful experience!
Great experience until we had finished and our server kind of ignored us. Other than that, it was lovely.
What a great experience at Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar in Houston. An extensive tapas selection to choose from and what flavors! Highly recommend the lamb, spinach, and calamari tapas. The service was amazing! Our server was attentive and friendly. I appreciated the manager checking in to be sure we were enjoying our food and if we needed anything. If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Houston, put Andalucia Tapas Restaurant & Bar as a first choice for a great dinner experience.
Beautiful restaurant. Great vibes. It was super hot but they said a/c will be fixed soon. Food was meh, and sever was less than enthused despite us ordering $100 of food for 2 people. Go to Si Tapas in Dallas instead if you can.
Our server was very delayed in bringing one of tapas, we had to ask him about one it. Brought us the wrong cocktail but never came back to see if everything was ok, but did remove it from our bill once we ask for our check.
It was too hot. Something wrong with the A/C? They never cleared a space for dancing. Last time I was there there was room for dancing. When a customer moved some tables, almost at the end of the night, the manager got mad and scolded her. However, dancers filled the space quickly. That should tell them that they must provide dancing space, specially when they have a live group playing dancing music. Makes sense, right?
Pincho Chicken was very tasty, smoky and well presented. Tres leches desert was delicious. Gazpacho was so so, not spicy enough. Service lagged at times.
A/C was out. Server was a bit slow at the beginning.
Very disappointing. We kindly requested a nice table for a spacial occasion but when we arrived they gave us the last table available. high table shared with other people!
We told them we reserved in advance to have a good table but they said that was the last available. Not happy.
Although our server was awesome the restaurant was HOTTT inside. The food was mediocre for how much we paid and the happy hour menu wasn’t great. The server messed up the final ticket and charged us full price for drinks that should have been happy hour price. Go to Morton’s for the same price and well it’s Mortons quality.
The experience overall was good. Service was excellent. They asked to slide our table over to make room for a larger party which was no problem at all but they were kind of enough to comp us an extra drink. I appreciated the gesture. This was my second visit. Their tapas sizes are larger than usual which makes them great for sharing.
Delicious tapas and desserts, great service and live music.
Not the greatest dinner. The Paella was overcocked and the service was not great. For the price paid I would have expected a better quality of food and service.
I have been innumerable times at Andalucia Tapas. Even though my party had a good time, I saw a couple of flaws. It was very warm inside. Was disappointed not to see a dancer or regular musicians. The ones on Friday were ok. I almost thought that the place was under new management.
I will go again. It is a great spot in Houston, a must see. I hope next time is better.
