Amor De Brazil - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
We took our father for Father's Day and he enjoyed himself. The only down fall was that we asked for the Lamb and instead of the 1st server letting us know it wasn't available at this time he stated he would get it for us then we inquired again 10 minutes later he stated it was cooking then we asked another server after waiting another 10 minutes in which he stated he would check on it then another server came out who we never saw and said we do not have Lamb today would you like ribs. This was my 5th visit and this is the first time this has happened. My advice would be just tell the customer it's not available today. Honesty is always best.
I took my dad to Amor De Brazil for Father's Day brunch and it was pretty good. I chose the salad bar option whereas my dad got the full rodizio option. There were plenty of vegetarian and seafood options on the salad bar to get full off of. The only issues we had were the lack of options w/ the Rodizio. My father was promised lamb was cooking and we never saw anyone bring it out. finally, one waiter stated that "I need to go check on it because sometimes they overcook it and it's no good". I'm not sure why the staff wouldn't make sure to prevent this from happening, especially after we had been requesting it for an hour. Also, it took about 15-20 min for us just to get our check after we told the staff we were ready for it. Overall the food and service was good, but I feel like they may have been a little short staffed for the occasion.
Food was pretty good and staff was very nice , the only aspect of the visit I did not enjoy that much was the fact that we were waiting for several minutes for someono to offer us some of the meat, maybe was the location of the table, but we saw the staff crossing across the restaurant several times serving meat but they took a while to get to our table, even when they were helping the table next to us
Never accept a middle table - we sat for more than an hour while food was passed all around us, they almost never came to our table. We spent most of 2 hours waiting for someone to come by with food. Complaining to managers did nothing, they constantly ran out before they got to us or the servers walked the outside edges of the restaurant, ignoring the middle tables. Horrible service, a high price for almost no food, will never go back again.
There are not many Brazilian churrascos so we were happy to find this while visiting Charlotte. The salad bar/sides area offers many options that would be fulfilling all on their own if it wasn't for the delicious skewered meats they offer. Very good service, constant meat offerings and food bar options. Family friendly - I imagine this would be a good place for large groups, too. When we were there, no music was on and it was bright inside so the ambiance didn't quite match the elevated level of the bill - but still quite good!
We had heard the food was great and even better than some other similar restaurants. The place is small and quaint, the service was ok. I didn't feel there was a vast selection on the buffet. I read there were many different selections of meat that would be presented, we only received 4. The men serving the meats often passed our table and we had to ask for the pineapple and more flank and lamb. For the price we paid, we were disappointed.
Very disappointed. First, Let me say, I'd never been to this restaurant and although it was a good distance from my home, I'd decided to give it a try. I drove over a half hour on a busy weekday evening only to be met by locked doors when I arrived. I knocked on the door window and no one came. I phoned the restaurant and received a busy signal as if the phone was taken off the hook. I waited a half hour at which time other patrons (some of whom also had reservations) had arrived to the same confusion. Ultimately, I left and went to another restaurant nearby.
I was expecting a better quality of meat. Personally the meat was too tough and didn't provide the taste that we prefer. We prefer medium rare meats. The servers had to visit my table 5 times with the same cut of meat and still did not provide me with medium rare.
Our experience was good the only thing about to complain was the service , there are different ocasión that we ask for more bread or other services and the waitress take too long or they forget about it .The food was really good taste and the buffet has really good food too.
We have eaten here a few times. Each time the food has been good and the service left wanting. Each time it has been worse than the previous time. This visit was the epitome of bad service. The initial server insulted us as we wanted a bottle of wine. He told us that women drink wine and men drink scotch. So after being belittled we ordered scotch. They were out of the first two scotches we ordered. The gaucho spilled our bottle of wine and the first response was to simply wipe it up and walk away. The initial server breezed by after the incident and asked, "how are things going here?" He was told to leave our table.
To the credit of the restaurant, once we addressed the matter with the manager things got better but still not great. We brought friends with us for a first time visit. The restaurant managed to lose 4 customers in one setting. That's too bad.
We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. It is in a shopping center so we were unsure what to expect. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff. Our server quickly brought our drinks and made sure they were kept filled. We helped ourselves to the salad bar which was well supplied with a nice variety of items. The waiters came frequently with a nice variety of meats, and even grilled pineapple (yum). We will eat here again.
We enjoyed our lunch very much, but I thought it was overpriced. I was expecting to pay $28 a person, but it was actually $32 a person and I felt that was too much considering half the food is on a salad bar and you are serving yourself. All the food was good and the staff were nice and friendly, so overall it was a nice time - best of all - it was a Brazillian steak restaurant close to home :-)
I had been to Amore de Brazil before and I loved it. I visited again with a small group of friends and when we entered the restaurant we were immediately disappointed. The girl at the front door looked as though we had bothered her by asking to be seated. We sat at our table and waited for about 10-15 minutes before a waiter came to our table and greeted us. The salad bar was ok and the waiters coming to our table were few and far between. I asked for a second cut of some meat and the waiter stated that he would return and I did not see him again for 30 minutes. FYI the place was not crowded at all, just not enough wait staff and what I believe is a hoarding of certain cuts of the beef. I could see the waiters avoiding our table even though we had the green flag for more service.
The only problem is we had a group of 5 and they automatically charged the gratuity to our bill when its normally added with 6 or more. Also, we paid separately and they mixed up some things on the tickets. Other than that, it was great! Food was delicious!
Amor de Brazil is a good example of a Brazilian Rodizio. The salad bar is stocked with a variety of high quality items that serve as both the appetizer and salad courses. The meats served by skewer carrying gouchos were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The top sirloin, flank steak, and bacon wrapped filet were the stars. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
We went on a weekday night, and were met by smiling folks who were very attentive to our request.
My son and grandson wanted lamb, and it was prepared specially for us, in addition to all of the other wonderful food.
We could not have asked for a better experience than we had.
We loved relaxed atmosphere and cleanliness. Service was well timed, profeasional, attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the fresh salad bar, smoked salmon, savory carved meats, martini and crème brulee. We will definitely return to try out lunch also at this local gem!
Went on a double date here on a Sunday night. There was only one other table in the restaurant at that time, and I cannot fathom why. Service was wonderful, quick to refill a drink & the meat was brought around at an acceptable rate. The salad bar had many options, all of them quite tasty. The meats were delicious. I would definitey recommend this place.
The food is usually pretty good, especially the salad bar. Much better than the downtown Charlotte Brazilian steakhouse. The service can be hit or miss though, it seems like some of the servers just dont pay attention to the tables when walking around the meats. Corner tables are not good for service, they will forget you over and over.
I went last Saturday night since I did not want to fight the uptown Charlotte traffic and craziness of uptown.
This is a low-budget Brazilian Steakhouse. They are terribly under staffed and the selection of meats is average at best.
For a first-time Brazilian steakhouse, I suggest you pay the Extra money and try Chima uptown Charlotte. The service is first class and the selection of meats is much better
If you want a lot of food, this is the place where you can get great value. There s a very good salad bar and tons of meats from great cuts of steak to pork ribs to lamb to chicken! The service was very good. We've had better Brazilian BarBQ restaurants in terms of atmosphere and meat offerings but this is a solid choice.
We exercise portion control so it's not the best place to dine for us... too many enticing offerings.
We have been to this place a few times before and the food was good. This time it was packed I guess for Valentine's Day. I had reservations but the lady at the door kept ignoring us. I finally went and stood right at the desk and she still spoke to someone over me. Finally she acknowledged me. I know she was overwhelmed but they should've scheduled better. The waiter was very good but the meat was over cooked for me. It just didn't seem as good as before. The special was 2 dinners and a bottle of champagne and 2 desserts. The champagne wasn't very good. We only drank one glass. Then they told us what dessert we could get. We didn't get to choose from the dessert menu. This time is wasn't very good and we spent a lot of money. It's just disappointing.
The food at the restaurant was amazing. Our waiter was just okay but the actual food servers were great and very friendly. The tables were a little closer together than I'd like but other than that it was a overall good experience. Would return for a future dining experience.
