Amen Street Fish & Raw Bar opened in 2009, reviving the former Amen name of Cumberland Street and restoring this historic corner. The new renovation stays true to the beauty of the original 1800's architecture while creating a comfortable atmosphere for contemporary life.

Located at 205 East Bay Street in the heart of the historic district this Charleston seafood restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining all within walking distance of the local Market and the Charleston Harbor.

The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes such as oysters, clams and shrimp in addition to an ever growing raw bar menu. Amen Street supports Charleston's local fishing industry with market fresh fish.

We are open for lunch and dinner. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are accepted as well.

We had a party of eight and the service was excellent. Shrimp and grits and scallop dishes were phenomenal. Large portions and very tasty. The atmosphere was upbeat. We all had a great dining experience

The tuna tacos were delicious!!! Hubby had the crab cake sandwich and he said it was also delicious. For dessert we shared the lemon cake. It was very light and flavorful but not too strong of a lemony flavor, and it had a mild raspberry sauce. Everything was delicious!!

Overall good, not great. Service lacked details. Bourbon cocktail was way too sweet. Calamari and tuna tartar were very good. Main courses were good not great. Entire experience seemed to lack a special touch/element.

Just off a cruise ship with no fryer so craved some fried seafood. A half dozen raw oysters and the seafood platter satisfied that craving. Try the Edmun’s Oust IPA.
