Great menu selections. Would have preferred actual menu and not QR code. Food was delicious!

Our dinner last evening exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent and while they were obviously short staffed, the 2 servers were impeccable. Everything we ate was so well prepared. The grouper was perfectly cooked as was the veal. We had 2 different desserts that were also delicious.

I have lowered my service expectations because of Covid but this restaurant delivered 4 star service and food!

Excellence all around. Server was a little too chatty.
Front of the house needs a little bit of training to reach fine dining status.

Service was very attentive. Our server was new (2nd day) and made some mistakes but he was certainly trying and will probably be a super server in a few weeks. We ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer to share, eggplant parmesan, and linguini with clams. The mushrooms were nothing to write home about -- I don't think the "root vegetable puree" stuffing did much for them, and they were (to me) slightly undercooked, but the marinara was good and it was nice and light overall. The entrees were quite good but not exceptional. We didn't like the bread, which was dense and tough. My husband ordered tea, which came as a choice of 3 tea bags and hot water in a glass. Perhaps that's how they do it in Italy but we would have preferred a pot and hotter water. The selection of wine by the glass is limited to Folonari and Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge, not very special. However they do pour a healthy glass. We took advantage of the outdoor seating, which was nice enough. Overall it was a good meal but not quite up to what I expected given other reviews.

Service was excellent! The food was good, but the pasta was served with marinara, which clashed with the rest of the meal. The place was quiet, but the table was wobbly and there was a hole in the wall of the female bathroom, which was weird. It is expensive for what it is, but it was nice for the one time.

Have so wanted to go here for awhile but we don't venture into G'ville after dark very often being we are seniors and an hour away. But for a celebration with family we made a reservation for outdoor seating. Beautiful place with little patio open to the Sun Center courtyard. The nearby Mexican eatery was a bit noisy and mosquitos were horrible. We must have smacked a couple dozen of them. Maybe some citronella candles placed along the perimeter would be of help. The service was truly top notch and everyone enjoyed the food with the exception being the veal which was rather bland - next time I'll go with the "specials". The antipasti appetizer was huge and very well prepared and big enough for the four of us. Breads were excellent and nice and warm. Both chicken dishes were superb and bro-in-law really liked the lasagna. We will go back again once the days are longer and take our mosquito spray! Also will wait until the paper menus are available. Some of us don't have "smart" phones and some had trouble connecting to the menu.

Amelia's has been our favorite restaurant for years. It is the best for a romantic dinner, and its location near the Hipp is great as we frequently eat there before plays. The food is great; we always get one of the specials and they are fantastic. Great wine selection and yummy desserts only add to the experience.

Kam provided excellent, attentive service, while remaining unobtrusive, but available. The food was delicious, delivered in a well-paced manner, and piping hot. Did I mention delicious?!! The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was perfect. We appreciated that Kam remembered we were celebrating our anniversary :-). If I have one quibble, it's finding parking. I think calling ahead to get precise directions to where the front of the restaurant is located (there is construction going on nearby), and the best places to park will make your arrival feel so much more relaxed. Overall, a superlative experience and one we will be repeating!

My wife and I travelled up from The Villages. It was worth the drive. One of the best Italian Restaurants we have dined at.
Appetizers were the Clams and the Prosciutto & Brie. Outstanding.
Salads were the House and the Caesar. Again, outstanding.
Entree was Chicken Piccato and Chicken Francese. The chicken was cooked absolutely perfect.
Dessert was the pistachio shelled ice cream with nuts.

The entire meal from beginning to end was fabulous. Food was served timely and hot.

Our server Sophia was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
We couldn't ask for anything better. We will be returning often.

We were only table to dine Al fresco. Waiter was very attentive even with his attending to diners indoors. Food was superb as usual. We shared the grilled salmon dish. Due to impending surgery the next day we had to forego desserts, but next time! Amelia’s makes the 200 mile trip very worthwhile.

I flew down to Gainseville from Nebraska to deliver a puppy to my God-mother for Christmas. I made arrangements for an evening of dinner and a play. I made all the reservations, tickets and transportation arrangements from Nebraska. Amelia’s was recommended to me from a friend.

This wasn’t just any evening out for us. It was a celebration. My godfather died 3 years ago and it’s been hard on my godmother. My godparents use to live in North Pole Alaska. Yes, there is a real town in Alaska named North Pole. My godfather played Santa for over 30 years. My 1st memories of him was dressed up as Santa.

Well, this year my godmother decided to give away all his Santa suits. It hit her harder than she expected. So I surprised her with tickets to a live radio production play of Miracle on 34th St at the Hippodrome next door. We were celebrating the spirit if Santa.

We arrived and was greeted warmly. We were placed at a different table due to needing accommodations for a walker. We appreciated the courtesy. However, the remainder of the evening was less than satisfactory. We waited 30 minutes before any server gave us notice. A wait staff poured us some water. Then 10 minutes later our waitress shows up. We ordered and then… wait…wait….wait… I finally asked another wait staff where our waitress was. We received bread and olive oil. … wait…wait…wait then the appetizer 20 minutes later…. We didn’t receive our meal until I asked where it was… 30 minutes after that. Our reservation was 6:30p. We didn’t receive our meal until 7:40pm. We had tickets to a 8pm show.

The tables were full around us, people were being served in a timely manner. I feel we were ignored and the waitress blamed us for not telling her we had a show at 8pm. It shouldn’t take 1 1/2 hours to receive your meal, then have to rush eating only a portion of it. We couldn’t take our leftovers into the theater. Waste of money & time.

Amelia's does not offer a printed menu. Instead, the diner is expected to upload the menu to an iPad and view it on the iPad screen. We did not have an iPad, so the server loaned us hers. The display was cumbersome. After a while, I questioned a manager about the menu and settled on my choices.
The food and service were acceptable. The iPad approach to fine dining does not appeal to me. I will not go back.
