Such a disappointment. Tables were left empty but not cleared and reset for almost 30 minutes. Once seated We waited for 20 minutes to see a wine list and receive bread. My husband ordered a beer and it never arrived. His dinner was cold and the waitress and manager were terribly rude when we complained. We would not recommend.
We had been to this restaurant once before and while the service was poor, the food was great so we couldn't wait to go back. The second time did not live up to our expectations. The food wasn't quite as good, the service (by two servers) was just so-so and the noise level was so loud that it gave me a headache. While the service was ok, the prices were out of proportion to the product. My husband's drink was $17, high even for this area. The specials were listed at $35 and $45. At those prices, you expect first class service and we did not get that. The dessert, a trio of sorbet, tasted so old that we did not finish it. No one asked why we did not eat it. Plates were often left on the table for too long. The biggest problem was the noise level, however. With the banquette seating, you feel like you are sitting with the people next to you and if they are loud, like our neighbors were, it really takes away from the experience.
Friendly staff & good food.
Fabulous food and cocktails, wonderful service in a relaxed yet upscale setting - part of a cool
Pork shank falls off the bone - and grits, vegetables, biscuits and everything harmonize.
I wanted to introduce some of my European friends to great low country cooking and we weren’t disappointed. Everyone loved the fried green tomatoes, the crab cakes were wonderful as well and the seafood pasta was probably one of the best I ever had. The waitress was professional, very attentive and friendly. What a great experience!
The fried green tomatoes appetizer and the pork shank were amazing!
Great food and ambiance. Be sure to have your ID or they won’t serve you alcohol.
Awesome food and great service! I’ve added this place to my ‘goto’ list. Definitely going back!!!
Excellent. Should be top 10 in Savannah. Will return.
A tremendous dining experience. The food was superb, and our server Kit was amazing. One of the best restaurants in a town where great food and service are both top-notch. A must try!!
Cage was a superb server with abundant knowledge of the menu plus local suggestions.
The staff was very attentive, especially our server. Two in our party ordered the filet. Both were under unfortunately in the center (med rare was ordered). The manager took care of us, providing a replacement filet. The meatloaf was delicious and the cheesecake was one of the best we’ve ever had (4 shared). Overall, a great meal with great ambiance and wonderful staff.
Our meal last night was outstanding! We drive up from Florida once a year and A.Lure is always a must! Our meal was fabulous!
Our Server Matt was a consummate professional so knowledgeable and an all around great guy! Knew his stuff and gave us great service. The lady bartender (wish we had gotten her name) made us excellent cocktails! A.Lure is a must!
Grilled blackened Mahi Mahi was very good. We also enjoyed clams, the chicken livers, blue cheese chips and salad w blueberry vinaigrette. Services was attentive. Bartender has specialty cocktails. Creative drink - grandma’s …green apples and spices version of Negroni. Delicious. We will be back!
Kit was an exceptional server. Tequila old fashioned was a delicious smoky pairing with the shrimp and grits. Chicken livers were from another world.
The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
The meatloaf was amazing! Waiter was very attentive as well
Server was fine, kitchen was extremely slow. We waited an hour after ordered the main course. Never had that experience there in past.
Great food and friendly service.
Usually get seafood in Savannah bit the pork shank with the goat cheese grits was the bomb!!!
So pleased with our experience. Quaint atmosphere, upscale but casual. Server
could not have been more pleasant or knowledgeable concerning menu. Never had fried green tomatoes so tried those. Surprisingly good as was our entrees.
The pork shank was excellent, and we enjoyed the fried green tomatoes. The flourless chocolate cake was very good. Good service.
Great vibe and music. Food was very excellent. Service was great. Great cocktails!
Excellent dining experience. Scallop entree was prepared to perfection.
Great but not overbearing service. Seafood pasta entree also excellent with large amounts of fresh sea food.
Great wine selection but we are beer drinkers and wish they would have had a local beer on tap
Will always be one of my favorites places to dine in Savannah. Amazing food, service, and food presentation. Love it!
wonderful food and service. the back room was a bit tough with a large party next to us.
All around great experience. The best of three restaurants we experienced in Savannah.
Probably the most ridiculous and appalling experience in a so called fine dining restaurant ever. Waitress confronted my 72 year old wife soon after we walked in while I stepped into the restroom, requesting an ID before she could order us a drink. She was shocked and asked for manager. A guy came over and said it was Georgia law, with no exceptions. When I came back to the table manager was still there starting to lecture me on the matter. My wife and I had walked to the restaurant, so she had no purse and ID with her, but I had mine. Still no drinks. My wife wanted to leave right then, and we should have, be I walked several blocks back to our hotel to get her ID. Drink order was then delivered wrong and dinner was forgettable. We asked several diners around us if they were asked for and ID, and they laughed and said of course not. Stay away from this debacle of an establishment.
Server was excellent and enthusiastic. Rated 4 stars due to drinks taking much longer than needed for a small restaurant which was half occupied. My wife had the special for dinner and it was amazing! I had the meatloaf, and it tasted like, meatloaf. Would recommend despite these small complaints.
The good was delicious, loved the appetizers, of the three desserts the chocolate torte was my fav
Food was DELICIOUS! Combination of ingredients was very creative & tasty & service was IMPECCABLE !
Really good food. The service was amazing. They made really good recommendations
Beautiful location and lots of ambiance. Dinner was wonderful. Venue was a luttle loud but tolerable. Will be back on our next visit.
Amazing food. Fabulous service. Great atmosphere. Don’t miss out on this gem in Savannah!!!!
Poor seasoning on some dishes, ok service. Nothing original.
Our 2nd time dining at Alure. The food was fabulous. Had a very sweet & courteous waitress
The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the seafood pasta.
It apparently is a popular place because it was crowded and LOUD. The service was good but the delivery of the food was slow. We had crab cakes and pork shank as entrees. Both were very good. We both had tomato basil soup as appetizers. The soup was luke warm and nondescript. Overall so so.
