a.Lure Savannah Ratings and Reviews
We were referred to Allure by our hotel concierge. The entire dining experience from the minute we walked in exceeded our expectations. The food was unique and incredibly tasty, the service was exceptional (and it was her third shift!) and the prices were completely reasonable. Try the deviled eggs, fired green tomatoes and the meatloaf. To it off with the chocolate pecan pie. Wow! We were treated to complimentary Champaign to celebrate our anniversary. Classy touch. Exceptional value and great food. You won’t be disappointed.
Great service. The portions were a great size and I️ definitely didn’t leave hungry. I️ ordered a burger and fries green tomatoes as an appetizer. My only complaint was everything was too salty, and this is coming from a person who likes salt. The ketchup was even salty.
Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable, although he over-did the Sothern charm a bit. The menu was creative and expansive and everything we ordered was excellent. The noise level was excessive and distracting due mainly to a group nearby that did not adhere to normal courtesy and regard for fellow diners.
Food is good, presentation nice. I ordered meatloaf---fantastic!! My husband ordered Low country boil--- very disappointed, thought would be more traditional. We got there early so pretty quiet, but do Not like how tables are so close together. Not sure we would return
We’ve eaten at some of the top restaurants in the world and a.Lure is a best kept secret of Savannah. The food was absolutely delicious- the rabbit ravioli is to die for, the goat cheese ice cream with lamb carpaccio- oh my word! The meatloaf which I have never ordered at a restaurant was the best I have ever had. Even the dessert was delicious!
This place is definetely more chique than the average Savannah Restaurant, probably also above the other high-end restaurants. But I perceived the atmosphere to be kind-of sterile with the bright white lights and a notably high noise level. It was really loud, but not “energetic” as I would call a bar atmosphere to be rather energetic.
We had a good evening at a.Lure, but given the high prices for both food and drinks here are my negative perceptions: The food menu was nothing spectacular, neither were the two specials of the day anything close to exciting. We chose a mix of various starters and entrees, both seafood and meats. They were presented nicely and well prepared and also worth the money.
The accompanying wine list was no better than the wine list at Buffalo Wild Wings, which is some 10 wines long – but a.Lure calls itself to present French cuisine and beverages. Our server was not able to make recommendations. Wines by the bottle could only be tasted when they were offering them by the glass as well – the other ones you had to buy even if you did not like the wine. But here’s the thing: If neither our server nor anyone else in the restaurant can make a recommendation on a wine or explain their wines’ bouquets, how could you test taste and quality?! To finish of the night we asked for cheese and coffee. “No coffee, no cheese” was the answer.
In the end I was really disappointed was I got for a $300 bill for a dinner for two.
When we were unable to get a reservation at our favorite restaurant, the concierge of The Cotton Sail recommended a.lure and we loved it! I would highly recommend it and would return on next Savannah visit. The food was delicious and our server was fsntastic
We went to A.Lure as it was recommended as one of the best restaurants in Savannah. Boy were we disappointed. It had a very uninteresting menu and our waitress was rude and arrogant. We dine out a lot and we know good food and this was not it. Not only that but they stuck us in this back room which had zero atmosphere. I should have said something when they seated us back there but I wasn't paying enough attention so my fault on that one.
Wonderful waiter who described fabulous options for appetizers and drinks based on our food choices. The food was a "comfort food" style, taken to an AMAZINGLY delicious level! Rabbit ravioli, my husband had the "best shrimp and grits ever", and I had a meatloaf made with filet mignon. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and they threw in a couple glasses of champagne as we were celebrating hubby's 40th birthday. Highly recommend!
