Allred's Restaurant

The sommelier was the best part of the evening. She was sharp, intelligent and articulate. Otherwise, the staff was rough and inexperienced. We had to ask for everything, including butter, water and the dirty appetizer plates to be cleared from the table. I also had to send my lamb rack back as it was not how I had ordered it prepared. The butternut squash soup was watery and so were the cocktails. The sea bass was tasteless, uninspired. I understand it is difficult to get professional waitstaff at a ski resort. But if that’s the case, don’t charge so much money for your typical meat and potato restaurant. I will not return.

GM Mario and his staff make every visit a special occasion. Always greeted by name after your first visit, a knowledgeable Sommelier and a creative chef who blends locally sourced produce, signature game dishes and comfort food staples into the menu with something special for every palate. A must visit for any foodie who finds themselves in the area.

Allreds is a must for special occasions. We love the casual elegance, the fine dining, the kid-friendly welcoming energy of Allreds. It is our go-to for special family dinner in Telluride.

Allred’s is awesome! We keep coming back every 6 months as we live in Austin and own a home in Durango. Mario always remembers us and we are treated like family. Allred’s is a must do in Telluride!!

Thanksgiving dinner.
Was a pre-fix four course with choices. First three course were great. Desert there was two 6’ tables filled with pies a sweats. Table could have been displayed much better.
Our server was very inattentive. I understand that it was a holiday and very busy but it took 10 mins to even ask us about drinks. He did not introduce himself and no happy Thanksgiving. Just saying.....

Our friend is gluten free and the chef was amazing, he made sure the turkey did not touch any gluten, he did the same for the mashed potatoes and served her sorbet for dessert. Everyone had an amazing thanksgiving! As always, everything was perfect!

We had our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was excellent! The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The scenery is beautiful on top of the mountain. Hopefully we make it back to Telluride and get the pleasure of coming back to this restaurant. Also, the restaurant manager was very friendly and came to every table to say hello. We felt very welcomed and appreciated.

Great staff, great food and the venue with scenic overlooks from the mountain top. It does not get better than that!

Amazing in every way!

Food was amazing and service top notch. I was there with my husband and 2 girls for dinner. Everything was great except the restaurant was cold and even worse when you sat next to the window which has a draft on your feet. When you are paying top prices for food $60 for lamb chops ( which were amazing) I want the food to stay warm for more than 3 minutes once they reach the table. Wait staff couldn't do anything to help and knew it was an issue. It was a shame as it was hard to relax and then you have to take a cold gondola home. :(

This restaurant is a MUST while in Telluride. Mario and his staff (Brian, Sadi, Julianna) were all attentive and amazing. The views are breathtaking. The food is mouthwatering! The wine paired perfectly with our meal. We adore this gem and will return every single time we visit! Can't wait until our next visit.

Epic views, tremendous service but not the overbearing snooty kind. The food was really good. And just literally the most epic mountain views you will ever dine to. Did I mention the restaurant is at 10,500 ft!

This place is absolutely top drawer. It’s amazing that such a large venue is so popular when it’s only access is by cable car. The views are fantastic, the food is delicious, the venue is beautifully appointed and the service is impeccable.

Excellent elk, done rare. Better than usual wines by the glass menu, but needed the sommelier to help get a good match. The tempranillo was indeed excellent with it.

Amazing food! The duck and veal were exceptional, but the grand finale of pudding cake was the cherry on top! Our waiter was outstanding and the ambiance was perfect for our romantic evening. 5 stars for sure! I'm telling eveyone!

allreds was the best meal that we experienced during our recent stay in telluride. the food and service were outstanding and the view amazing.

We are very loyal Allred’s customers and are full time local in Mountain Village. Brought 3 very influential friends from Scottsdale to join us. Thanks for the widow table for 5, that was great. But my wife had the Halibut and it was way over-cooked. None of the guests complained but I know that one had that meal and wanted the fish rare/medium. Probably too much of a gentleman to complain. Cooking fish correctly isn’t exactly rocket science. At your price point, you need to get that exactly right. Finally, a house glass of Chardonnay at $16? Please. That Is higher than many excellent restaurants in major cities.

Food was great! We visited to see how the food and ambiance was since we booked Allred’s for our rehearsal dinner next year. We had the lamb, duck, and elk! Wow! Tender and flavorful!:)

We spent four days in beautiful Telluride. There were six of us--three couples. We all found our dinner at Allred's to be the highlight of a wonderful, long weekend. My steak was cooked perfectly and could be cut with a butter knife. The service, ambiance and views could not have been better. Thank you for a lovely evening.
