Beyond expectations! The monutain views from 11,000 + altitude were breathtaking as the clouds moved in and out as the snow fell. Staff was professional, friendly and enjoyable to talk with. The other guests were interactive and fun to talk with. Oh the food- superb selection and perfectly prepared and the wine selection is top shelf!!
Such a lovely view and a great room to match. Food and drink were spectacular.
This restaurant has it all- view, food, service and ambiance absolutely 5 star.
Fabulous meal with incredible service and always reliable impeccable food. It’s our favorite place in the area. Thank you for another memorable experience!
I’ll keep it short, this place was amazing. One of the nicest places I’ve been
Cocktails were delicious, meal was yummy, and service was amazing!
The view was awesome at 10,000 feet and everything was perfect for a nice night out
The food was amazing but in very small portions for the price. Amazing views of the mountains. Also very noisy, could hardly hear our waiter talk.
Mario (GM) and Katie (sommelier) are simply the best hosts! Fantastic evening with great food and wine!
Really great food at an incredible location. We will definitely be back.
Impeccable, delicious, and all in an incomparable setting. Our most favorite restaurant.
We had the three course pre-fixe and loved everything we had. I had the mussels as an appetizer and mushroom risotto as my main. Everything was very well executed and super delicious. Plus- the view!! . Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Telluride as a treat yo self to a lovely dinner.
They had a tasting menu of three courses for our later (8:15) dinner. It was our best restaurant experience in years.
I went for a traditional heritage tomato salad and rack of lamb entree, and later a chocolate dessert.
The sommilier, a very helpful, attentive greeter, recommended an excellent wine within our price range (the wine menu has a significant price range as well as a large variety range).
Dinner service was excellent. Attentive but never rushed, finished tableware was removed promptly, and beverages refilled, but conversely it was not overdone (people were not hovering filling water glasses after every sip).
Our table was in a quieter nook, we were offered the main dining room, but that seemed a bit busy, so we selected the out of the way spot.
Kevin, our waiter, was fantastic. Best elk I've ever had in a restaurant!!
Absolutely amazing in all ways!!
Overall outstanding experience. Beautiful dining room with unbelievable view. Service efficient and almost friendly. Food was all very good almost great. My very large pork chop was slightly over so a bit dry. Crudo appetizer outstanding. Deserts excellent. Wine overpriced but not unusual for fine dining format. Would go again.
Our tab was $186 or so and our server brought our check back with our card ran for $247. THATS $61 more than our tab? He then went and reran our card for the $186, and said he refunded us the $247 buts been 3 days now and the charge has FULLY PROCESSED. As someone who works in the bar and restaurant business, this is horrible and ILLEGAL. I am back home in Georgia now, but will be calling Allred’s to handle this. That is if they even answer the phone!
Allred’s was a wonderful last night “fancy” dinner for us during our stay in Telluride! Great dark and cozy atmosphere, great service, delicious and upscale food and drinks. We loved it!
The absolute best meal I’ve ever had. The views, outstanding. The wine, spectacular. The food, phenomenal.
I had the burrata and heirloom tomato starter, petit tenderloin with mash potatoes and asparagus and ended with the creme brûlée. My boyfriend had the mussels, lamb, and cheesecake. Every bite was amazing.
Food was great from beginning to start, service was decent: waitress didn’t want to take the time to explain the food options to us country folk. Overall pleased with the food.
Eating at Allred’s was a fantastic experience. Service was exceptional as was the ambience My husband had the elk and said it was the best he’s ever had. I had mushroom risotto which was excellent. The location is very special as well as you take a gondola ride up to the restaurant. The manager came over and spoke with us which shows the level of work that goes into making this a special place. Highly recommended
My husband and I had an amazing experience! We walked into a giant rainbow view at our window table. The food was amazing! Our server was lovely as well. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting/staying in telluride. Go early and enjoy the view and sunset, you won’t be disappointed!!
Service was good; if you get here early along with everyone else then you have a ggod view; the food pricing is ridiculous but you know that going in.
On the Mountain with view
The restaurant had bar area with high to tabel which is more quite then actually restaurant with more standard tables , is just more bistro feeling sweating but with same food and drinks. We did prefer it .
Food is good a little Asia style on our halibut.
Huge selection of wine and there is a sommelier
to help. He was great.
The food was delicious from start to finish, and the wine list was also great. The disappointing part was that our server didn’t ask if we wanted our leftovers boxed up - he just took our plates away (we only ate half of our meals to leave room for dessert) and threw away half of our meal. I told him we were leaving room for dessert so we’d finish our meals later, but he didn’t hear me. I asked about getting our leftovers when he brought the dessert menus & he said he didn’t hear me say we wanted them. For $79 a person, of course we want our leftovers! Why not ask us!? He didn’t seem too concerned when I told him we wanted to keep our leftovers after the fact. So learn from me & say very loudly that you want your food boxed! Shame that they would waste food so easily. This is the most I’ve spent on a meal so it was even more disappointing that we didn’t get to finish it.
This was our first visit to Allred’s. Wow what a treat from the beginning til the end. We got there way prior to our reservation and the staff seated us in the bar and then early at a window table. That view could make anyone happy but the food, service and wine completed our outstanding experience.
This is our very favorite! Waitstaff outstanding . Food over the top. We also enjoyed meeting and talking to Mario Petillo. He is a delight.

We had the halibut and the beef tenderloin. Both were as good or better than any we have eaten!
The food was almost as good as the view, which was outstanding!
Great amazing views good food and well worth a visit
Was fantastic. Mario the manager is the BEST!! He runs a magnificant restaurant from the greeters to the waiters and staff. Its sheer perfection and our favorite restaurant in the world!
Allred's is hands down the place to take out of town guests for their first Telluride dinner....setting and views are the high points
The incredible view is matched by the amazing food here. A “must do” in Telluride!
As always, very high quality food and in manageable proportions. Service and ambiance first rate. And absolutely nothing beats the views!
This was the most amazing experience. The gondola ride is beautiful, the restaurant amazing and the Food exceptional. The service was second to none. I hope someday I can visit again!
The view is great. The food not so much. I ordered the lamb medium rare and my husband ordered medium. His came out raw. Mine was rare. The stuffed pepper appetizer was salty and drained in a bitter balsamic. Not too pleasant. Dessert was the best part of the food experience. The wait staff was ok but we had to flag down the waiter to send the lamb back. Oh well. We went for the view. We got the view.
The waiters and the staff were very rude, dismissive, and aggressive. It was clear that they wanted us out quickly and didn't value our service. Everything from the call about the reservation to the service at the table felt like they were upset and rushed. Our business wasn't valued. The whole experience felt disconnected, inhumane, and rude... it was not worth the insane prices we paid.
Would NOT recommend it.
First thing i do when i get to telluride is take the
Gondola up to Allreds ❤️❤️
At time of our visit, Allred's had a 3-course/$79 menu selection. The selections for appetizer, main course and dessert met our expectations. My request for a window table was met; although, we did arrive early. Service was efficient, friendly and our waiter was exceptionally knowledgeable about the menu. The gentleman attending to the table - water & clearing of plates, etc- was exceptional and friendly as well. My partner did not care for his appetizer and both the manager and the waiter offered to replace with another appetizer. I found the fruit salad to be exceptional - fresh with a very nice selection of berries. My partner had elk for the first time at the suggestion of the waiter and he was not disappointed. In addition, he noted that the potatoes were the best he'd ever had - a notable compliment considering his vast experience in fine dining. I had the salmon which was very good. I appreciated the waiter's knowledge on where the fish was sourced. The dinner ended with a superb NY style cheesecake with a bumbleberry topping. The sable cookie crust was exceptional and the portion was just right. In addition, the coffee was excellent. I would definitely visit Allred's again. I thank them for their fine service during a challenging time.
