Allium’s seasonal menu focuses on sustainable ingredients. Vegetables drive the ever-evolving menu, sourced both from local farmers and the Hotel’s own rooftop garden. Meats, one of the Midwest’s greatest culinary staples, are well represented, from dry aged filet chop to the menu’s From the Meat Locker section, featuring a selection of premium steaks and chops from Midwestern ranchers.

It was very bad.
Being a five star hotel, it should be better. Need a Michelin star chef. Great ambiance though.
We were not sure who our waiter was since different people came and went. Not offered a second drink. Had to ask for coffee. Not told where buffet was or if we should start our meal. No bagels with lox. Small selection of food, only inexpensive options. Had to flag someone down so we could get check. Brunch buffet lacked traditional carving station. No seafood selections. Only 4 dessert offerings. We were very disappointed and embarrassed that the guest we were hosting was brought here.
The food was very good. I don't know if this was the most I have spent on a meal but it was probably close to it if not the most. I suspect that was due mostly to the location.
It was our anniversary and had a wonderful experience! Cocktails were good. The waiter was awesome and brought a special vegan menu for my wife. She loved her meal...the truffle fries were AMAZING! I had the filet mignon with fried cauliflower...delicious. Great service...great ambience...wonderful for a special occasion!
The Brunch Buffet was affordable but still not worth it-particularly if you don't like eggs or salmon. The advertised Applewood Smoked Bacon was nowhere to be found. Feels like because we ordered the buffet the server didn't feel the need to pay any attention to us. It was not what you would expect at the Four Seasons.
Change in Cobb Salad presentation was disappointing!
Service was very good!
Very nice, and classic! Good value, great environment!
Very attentive staff and great dry martinis, but the food choice for a brunch was quite limited. Having said that, it was delicious.
We visited Allium right after Valentine's Day, so it was really quiet. We enjoyed everything. Some highlights: Sarah, our server was outstanding-funny, witty, and knowledgeable about the menu. Tuna Tacos were interesting, Pappadelle was really tasty, as were the Waygu sliders. Simple, but very tasty. One highlight was ordering the Davis Bynum Pinot Noir, 2015. Very smooth and something you could drink all night long. A little pricey at $18. per glass. All the servers were polite and very willing to make sure we were happy. Finally, do try the Lavash--a sorta warm homemade cracker flatbread. It's something playful and yet addicting. We love forward to our next visit. Thank you, Sarah, for a wonderful evening.
Great breakfast & amazing service. Thank you Stacy
Sarah & Chef Jose was spectacular make the evening very memorable... and the lovely hostess Kim. Gray staff & awesome food. TJ thanks as well
We arrived at the hotel on Valentine's Day and opted to have dinner there after a long drive. We got one of our favorite tables by the window. The food was terrific as always. The service was a bit slow despite the fact that the restaurant was not full, which surprised us since we have eaten here for many years and never had service issues. We had never seen our waiter before; perhaps he was new.
Allium has a warm inviting ambience. Our guests have been looking for such a warm comfortable environment to go to in this area. They are new to Streeterville. They are thrilled about having this lobby and restaurant to come to during this cold winter season!!
The Sunday brunch was very good and priced fairly at $38/person.
we went for restaurant week and had a 3 course meal for lunch. The chestnut soup was outstanding ,the dessert very good and entrees were good.
I would not hesitate to go back next year.
The poached pear with blue cheese was divine, simple salad on the side. Our waitress was Catherine and she was simply delightful although the space was busy, she was so friendly and helpful. The Theodore and the Resposado and spice cocktails were absolutely on point, we were very happy with our choices, can’t wait to see what the spring cocktails will be.
Terrible experience. Food arrived cold. Asked for wine had to remind waiter to bring it. Asked for bread it never arrived. Really not good.
Catherine was wonderful!
AndrewM, Thank you for your feedback regarding Catherine! We will be sure to make sure she is recognized for her efforts! Warm regards, William Mitchell, Allium General Manager
We had NYE dinner here and it was not worth the cost. Food was fine but not served hot enough; we had a guest who was a vegetarian and though the kitchen was alerted to their need a month earlier, every one of her courses but one was a complete disappointment (the 'entree' was four squares of barely warmed tofu over a sloppy 'salad.') We complained about this and they brought out a plate of grilled broccolini and cauliflower with multiple cloves of garlic (at least it was hot.) Small touches were missing - like a tablecloth - despite the high price point. Will not return.
Good Evening AmyW, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with valuable insight regarding your New Years Eve experience. I am sorry to hear that your dinner with us did not meet your expectations. I can assure you that your feedback will be shared with the team to make improvements for the future. Thank you again for your review, I truly hope that we will have the opportunity to regain your trust in Allium in the future. Warm regards, William Mitchell, Allium General Manager
Hostess never checked us in on Open Table. Burger was not quality of past visits.
I was disappointed with the holiday tea. I have experienced a few different teas downtown and this one was nothing memorable. The scone was good but all other items seemed stale.
Great service from our waiter and the food was great, nice job!
We had a fabulous Xmas Eve Brunch at Allium. Service and ambiance were fabulous, and food and drinks were perfect. They accommodated our family with two small children so seamlessly. We will definitely be back!
Went there for lunch. Mahi Mahi tacos were outstanding, as was the service. The lobby, restaurant, and even the elevator area has museum quality artwork including Warhol, Lichtenstein. Also numbered lithographs of Magritte and Matisse.
Overall experience was great.
Great setting, lovely table. Good food. Service a little slow.
Very disappointed. The restaurant was just average. Especially for what we paid. There are so many great restaurants in Chicago. Try them first.
Service was very poor. Dirty plates were left on the table until we asked for them to be removed. Food on buffet was not replaced when empty and this four seasons hotel was had trash laying everywhere in the entryway. #notimpressed
Great atmosphere and a view of Michigan Ave. The service was outstanding. Loved the rabbit potpie!
The Four Seasons Lobby was wonderfully decked out for the Holidays and the entrance to the Allium surrounded in garland. The Afternoon Tea was elegant with amazing sweet and savory morsels. The wait staff was attentive. It was a festive atmosphere perfect for December.
Birthday luncheon for Granddaughter! Very nice dessert treat for her!!
Service sometimes inconsistent as far as attention, but overall acceptable.
Pricey, but excellent service. Had Cauliflower soup and soup of the day: Parsnip soup: both were
excellent. Had lobster rolls for lunch. You get three small brioche buns with lobster meat. They were good, but for $24 I've had better with more lobster. Lunch for 2 people without drinks was $100.
Probably would try another place for lunch
Had a reservation at Allium to celebrate a birthday. The food was wonderful, views were exquisite, and the service perfection. I would definitely recommend it and had just a great experience overall.
Pretty room at a great location. Should have arrived sooner than 1:45pm. We were told that the staff starts cleaning up around 2. That comment rushed us.
Group dinner with friends
Before coming out to Chicago I watches a video on the many Hot Dogs of the area and I was giddy to see that this restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel served their own version. The idea of having what is considered low brow food in that kind of atmosphere just excited me. Then I went there and it was amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and the seating is very comfortable. We had a lovely time able right across from the fireplace which was very cozy.
We ordered two of their specialty drinks which were pricey but very good. Then we ordered the Hot Dogs and they were great. Everything was house made and really good, it was a hot dog but it was elevated just enough to justify the price.
The waiter was attentive and wished is a happy anniversary which was a nice touch. I know it was in the system but in the past places we have gone to have ignored info we have entered. Later after he charged us for a desert that was given as a gift he apologized and he really didn't have to I was happy to pay for the desert and he was so great, we tipped him based in the original bill anyway.
We left the restaurant feeling giddy, the kind of giddy that good food, service and atmosphere can only give you. I can't wait to come back to go again.
The place and the experience was at best mediocre. The pasta appetizer was almost inedible. I expected a much better experience
Service was fantastic, food was delicious. The window views were beautiful
Nice brunch menu with very attentive staff and cozy atmosphere. Menu and buffet choices were smaller than a few years ago but maybe because it was an ordinary Sunday.
