   While the restaurant itself is beautifully designed and the service is impeccable, the food unfortunately left much to be desired. My friend and I found that nearly every dish we ordered lacked seasoning, making the overall dining experience underwhelming. The staff from our waitress to the manager were warm, attentive, and clearly well trained, which we truly appreciated. However, the food, which should be the centerpiece of any dining experience, did not live up to the high standard set by the ambiance and service. One particularly disappointing dish was the watermelon salad. It tasted more like bland lettuce topped with a balsamic glaze and equally bland burrata cheese. The flavors didn’t complement each other and left me confused about the intended taste profile. Coming from a family deeply rooted in the restaurant industry and being the daughter of a chef, I have a strong appreciation for well executed food and balanced flavors. I genuinely hope the kitchen makes some adjustments, especially in seasoning and flavor pairing, as this restaurant has great potential. With just a bit more attention to the food itself, it could truly shine and appeal to a broader audience.

   Alligator Soul is one of our favorite restaurants in Savannah. Every time we visit we are wowed by the creative and delicious meal. The staff was so professional and friendly and made our anniversary dinner a delight.
