Amazing birthday dinner! Service is top notch!
Service was impeccable and the food was 2nd to none. Fantastic time with family for Mom's 90th birthday. Love the way all the staff payed special attention for our memorable event.
Amazing food, service and ambiance. We had the exotic meat (axis deer) as well as appetizers. Food was just fantastic.
Outstanding restaurant from the time we entered the door until we left. Great service, ambiance, food and drink. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Ryan was an amazing waiter! Delicious food
Enjoyed a lovely meal here for our anniversary. Our waiter was well informed about all of the menu choices. Drinks were delicious and service was excellent. Will definitely return for our next anniversary!
Highly recommend Alligator Soul! It was the best meal/atmosphere experience that my family and I have had in years. Amazing food, amazing drinks, and amazing service! Can't wait to go back!
Alligator Soul is our favorite restaurant in Savannah. It was our 21st wedding anniversary and our evening was lovely. The food and service was excellent. The gumbo is amazing!
Everyone is amazing, as is the food!
We were a little nervous as we descended the stairs to Alligator Soul. But the door opens to a sophisticated gathering and dining room. The almost intimate space sets the stage for a creative and tasty menu. We opted for Striped bass, the catch of the day. Perfectly cooked en papioute, so nicely moist. Cous cous provided an excellent accompaniment.
Creme Bourle finished an excellent dining experience.
Great restaurant with wonderful food and drink. Best meal we had on our trip
We all had the Little Hilbo and it was great! Will definitely be back. Desert was great also! We had our son with us who is 11 and he enjoyed the food very much also.
Alligator Soul was one of the most recommended restaurants in Savannah. We ate there and found the food to be average and overpriced. The mussels were the high point. The $20 Alligator ball appetizer (which should be a specialty given the name) included inly 3 small balls. The $35 Scallop dish had 3 medium scallops. The fish special - also $35 - included a 6 oz bass filet and was not special in any way. I would suggest that there are better restaurants in the area. . . . . . . .with better food and a better value for the money.
I had alligator fritters as an appetizer and Antelope as my main dish. Both were delicious. My wife called it one of the best meals she’s ever had. There are a lot of good restaurants in Savannah, but this is #1 on our list of must visits.
We had a wonderful time at Alligator Soul! The service was great and very attentive, the food was definitely worth the money and we had an all around excellent time
Wonderful food, wine and service. We loved the roasted mushroom salad and “special” antelope entree. Our waiter was very thorough and attentive. It was busy and a bit loud with some large groups but it was also a Fri night in Savannah so not too unexpected.
The restaurant is awesome. Great ambiance. The food was outstanding. One of the specials was antelope. Yes....antelope. So obviously I had to try it. Simply outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service. Food was very good. Not a thing unpleasant about dinner. Highlight of our dining experience in Savannah.
Foremost, the food at alligator soul was incredible. Truly a flavorful roller coaster. The little hilbo steak, I would highly recommend. Their exotic meat of the day, the antelope, was also delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable, but seemed understandably busy. The ambiance was nice and welcoming, but not extraordinary. We'll definitely return.
Excellent all around. Great attention to detail
Delightful evening as a result of friendly attentive service, charming ambiance, and delicious food.
Vacation dinner. This place was great. Rasheed the manager was very attentive, Mischa, our server was great! Food was awesome!
My husband and I went there for our 35th wedding anniversary. The restaurant was elegant but not at all stuffy. The atmosphere was modern yet cozy and we were greeted immediately and shown to a cozy spot with couches to wait for our table-which was ready very quickly. The waiters and staff were very friendly and VERY attentive without being intrusive--a perfect combination. When we got to our table, there was a small gift box with a congratulatory message and two mini pastries for us. A lovely and thoughtful touch! The food was fabulous and our waiter, Matthew was awesome! It was such a pleasant experience all the way around and my only regret is that it is in Savannah and we live in NJ!
Excellent food, excellent service. We had a great time and will go back again and again!
We asked for a quiet table, and were taken to one. 20 minutes later, a large bachelorette party of about 14 showed up and were seated across from us, and we couldn't hear anything but them and the waiter's loud voice after that. The food was great, the prices were decent, but the evening was taken over by the loud group of ladies and the waiter acting as an M.C. for them. Too bad, because we could have had a better experience here.
The service and food were both exceptional.
We had a lovely anniversary dinner. I tried red deer for the first time and it was great!
Great food and warm wonderful service. Great gumbo and fried green tomatoes. Shrimp and grits great too!
Appreciated the GF options. Food, ambiance, service outstanding. Second visit. There will be a third.
A wonderful speakeasy setting in downtown Savannah. Grilled oysters were very good. Also liked the gumbo. Shrimp and grits was also good, though grits had cheese in them. Some folks at our table do not like cheese in the grits. So please be aware of you are picky about your grits. Service was great. Nice art on display. Excellent cocktails.
Fantastic! A must go! The oysters are special and a must to order. We also had the alligator fritters, which also were excellent. For entrees, my wife had the gumbo, daughter the mussels, son had the bacon wrapped filet, and I had the scallops. Everyone enjoyed their choice as each had excellent flavors. Throw in superb ambience and excellent service and we had a 5 star night. Thanks to Misha, who helped us with our choices and was an excellent host.
Excellent Cajun as well as Lowcountry cuisine, terrific service & a lovely setting make for a great dining experience. Highly recommended!
We went there on vacation last year and when back for our anniversary this year declared it a must. Food was great, service fantastic.
The appitizers were so good we continued to eat them until we had to ge dietly to dessert. Absolutely great food. As an extra bonus, they serve Caymus cab by the glass and we indulged there as well. After a week in Savannah, this was the best food we had.
This is our #1 place to eat when we come to Savannah. Food & service is top notch.
Great food! We really enjoyed our dinner at Alligator Soul. We had the fish special, bacon-wrapped filet and the exotic special which was Red Deer that night. Service is top notch - our waitress was really great as were all the staff we encountered and the owner/manager even came around to speak to guests at all the tables. Great drink offerings with a generous wine selection and unique cocktails. Don't miss dessert, we had the cobbler and banana beignets - YUM!! Would highly recommend this for a nice meal out in Savannah.
We went on the last night of our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Zeb was extremely helpful and attentive. The food was also wonderful. I had the red deer and she had the snapper, both were amazing.
Ambience needs a little work but overall very good!
Our meal from beginning to end was AMAZING!! We look forward to returning. The staff is top notch. From the gentleman who is re-setting the tables to the hostess who thanks you when you leave...everyone cares about your experience. We can't wait to come back to Savannah and we will be back so we can try different items on the menu.
Both the service and food were excellent. Expect to pay $50 per person but again the service was outstanding! Food was creative...would have liked to see more Cajun dishes. Definitely would return.
