My husband and I were here to celebrate our 45th anniversary which he mentioned on doing our reservation. Nothing was ever mentioned to us why we were there etc. Charlie was our waiter he was ok but not very personable. After Paying our bill of $176.00 I would say we were not that impressed. We both ordered steak and it was not the best cut of meat! One thing for sure we will not be returning to eat here. A special occasion like this and we were very disappointed.

The fish was horrible. It had a blood line about 2” wide. That meal should have been comped but was not. The chef you cooked that fish does not know what he is doing , we will not be going there again

Amazing!!! Had to come back to Savannah just to bring our son!!! Everything from start to finish, once again, was on point. The talent here is top notch and everyone is friendly, personable, and professional. Creative dishes executed perfectly!!! The last time we visited, my husband had the red stag, and WOW!!! This time, my husband and son both ordered the kangaroo and again, WOW!!! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here.

If I could give it an overall of more than five stars I would. The staff was incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. The wild boar and duck amazing! We were not disappointed in any way.

Bring your adventurous self to Alligator Soul. There are a few tame/traditional menu items, but since you’re in Savannah, broaden your culinary horizons. From creative cocktails, lovely wine list & the creative dessert menu, you’re in for a treat!

Alligator Soul has to be one of the best restaurants my husband and I have been to. The food was superb! They had the BEST Shrimp & Grits I’ve ever tasted. Their alligator fritters were also yummy. Our main dish was the Deviled Alligator Crab which was phenomenal. We’re from out of town and looking forward to the next opportunity to visit again!

All 4 of us girls flew into Savannah for my birthday and with so many wonderful Savannah restaurant options to choose from, we all decided this is what we wanted to try. The service wasn’t great and the food was honestly so/so. Some food was undercooked and our server was no where to be found multiple times, leaving us to find other servers to help with that and drink orders that seemed to be forgotten. I was left disappointed with my birthday dinner experience and felt bad that my friends spent that $$$ on the experience given.

My husband and I went here on vacation as a recommendation. The place was quaint and relaxing for a quiet date. Both of us ordered the boar shank based on reviews and one of my favorite game. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the selection overall. Portion size was great and boar meat so tender it fell off the bone. However, the sauce was so overwhelming it took away from the enjoyment of the meat and complements. It was quite disappointing. Doubt we will go back next time we visit due to the plentitude of satisfying and value-reasonable restaurants.

A unique culinary adventure in Savannah! My husband had a cup of the gumbo and the fish special and I had the scallops - delicious! The dessert - chocolate truffle and rocks - which we subbed with vanilla ice cream - was a little odd, wasn’t my favorite.

Everything from the moment the door was opened for us to when we walked out was nothing short of perfection. Best meal we’ve had in Savannah. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary dinner! We will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

The food was fair. I would say 50% of the dishes we ordered were great, the others just so so. Was not impressed by the gumbo or the deviled crab. Both were lacking in flavor. The fish special and boudin was great. For the price and the hype and it being a slower night, you’d expect every dish to be wonderful. Unfortunately, our experience was a little lack luster. Our server was wonderful.

Everything from seating to dessert was perfect. We visit AS every year on our anniversary trip to Savannah and it's a reservation I make as soon as the hotel is booked. The food is always impeccable and the staff very knowledgeable. Sarah was our server this year and she was fantastic. The venison was on special and was a great entree. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. One of the best in Savannah.

The restaurant is lovely and the service was impeccable. Very nice wine list. Unfortunately, our entree choices were very mediocre. The scallop dish was beautifully presented but the scallops were cool. The alligator crab was an interesting concept that, sadly, didn't work. The dish lacked flavor.

Alligator Soul is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. The food is delicious. I have eaten there 3 times now, and every meal was amazing. They have a very talented team of chefs. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and a very pleasant atmosphere. The servers are knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend anyone, whether you live in Savannah or are visiting to make a reservation and experience it for yourself. Also, order the peanut butter pie for the dessert. 5 stars for sure.

My table ordered the alligator boudin fritters and the carving board for the starters. The fritters were amazing and paired beautiful with the cutting board(red onion marmalade was to die for!). For entrees, the wild game specialty (deer) was so moist/tender and paired it with the Scotsman. The duck was an Instagram-able experience although slightly dry. I ordered the wild boar shank and although delicious it just tastes like a pot roast. It did go well with the prisoner wine tasting menu.The winning plate of the night was the little hilbo! The only dish I would order again. The whole night was an experience; especially, the wait staff, being knowledgeable and pleasant.
